The staff is awesome. I went in today looking for a particular product & they went out of their way to try to help me find it!!! All of the fabulous ladies that were working today were awesome!!! Their hot chocolate is awesome!!!

The service has hit a new low here, my last time to visit this location. Over the last several months it has really dropped off. Sad because the first couple times they were real good and I like their coffee. I will have to only go to the other locations.

Holy. Moly. Hands down, the BEST customer service I’ve had at a coffee shop. Ever. It’s conveniently located right off the 5 freeway, before I head into the Del Mar dog beach. The establishment is inviting and well placed w plenty of parking. There’s tables inside and outside, so you can choose. I walk right in and was greeted by a lady and the most nicest man working at the register! My gosh! I ordered a large iced vanilla latte w soy and it came out to around 5 and some change. The coffee was perfection(in which I enjoyed at the dog beach). 5 stars for not only the coffee but also the stellar customer service.

Bathroom is disgusting… enough to turn around and walk out… When I walked in everything looked nice but a clean bathroom is very important… I am sure I am not the only one complaining.

I’m not a usual at this chain. I often frequent Starbucks because A) they offer drive thrus most times and B) I’m just used to it. I walked in and asked if they offered a normal mocha frappucino and the pretentious ass barista said, «oh we actually call them ice blended’s here.» And they literally made me order it that way. Like, I had to say, «whatever ice blended.» Like come on, don’t be rude. Drink was extremely watered down and crappy. Boyfriend ordered an iced caramel Americano, and he loved it. I DO love their little ball shaped ice, lol. I’m a barista myself, and I can say that their coffee wasn’t that great.

I really love this place! I love that you can get a mocha that is sugar free and it’s not from syrup! They are so friendly and usually pretty quick. I had the best sugar free mocha(they always use non fate milk) but with Almond coconut milk and it was so creamy and the best tasting drink I’ve had in forever. Pretty rich for me so I put away about half and saved the rest. They have pastries, so many wonderful teas and treats. Wi-fi and lots of tables inside and out. Easy to park and a wonderful place to grab a coffee and a snack or meet up with a friend.

It’s alright. I kill time in here every so often when I am waiting on a client in the area, so I can use the WiFi. I only give 3 stars because the parking is not the easiest, there are not enough seats inside(and now that it’s cold outside no one wants to sit outside) and the bathroom is not very clean, and the WiFi was jumping in and out on me today, which is the whole reason I went in there and spent almost $ 8 on a chai latte and a pumpkin muffin. For the Wifi. So I can work, and afford to spend $ 8 on a frickin chai latte and a damn muffin.

By far my favorite tea spot in the community. Chain tea spot that is… The reason being is that it’s so big inside and out! I mean for an open outside shopping center, this Coffee Bean really dominates the area with all its outside seating and inside seating as well. You can come here and comfortably find somewhere to sit and work on your lap top if you need a scenery change for inspiration. And the guys and gals working at this establishment are all really happy to serve you. It’s exactly the experience you’re looking for going into your neighborhood coffee shop. I sometimes order a combination of teas just to awaken my senses. :) It’s one of my weirdo habits. BUT more than most times I order the Jasmine Dragon tea… And mmmmmm it’s so freakin yummy! Loose leaf tea also always feels more eventful for some reason. Lol Jasmine tea, definitely my recommendation and when you read the description you’ll feel cheery! So treat yourself! You’re worth it! :) Xoxo

They took their sweet time making two drinks. One was a hot drink that came out warm and when I asked for it to be remade the lady said sure but you’ll have to pay for a new one. And they totally forgot about my husbands drink. Hands down will never come back to this coffee bean!

On our way to SD, we decided to stop here to energize with some lattes. We drove into the shopping plaza that this location is in. The place is very clean, both outside and within. They have tons of seating outdoors, which was good because the weather was great outside. The staff was very friendly, and they made our drinks well. The patrons were mostly locals, and you can tell this was a nice part of town. We didn’t stay long, as we still had some driving ahead of us and hunger was calling. For a coffee fix for the road, stop by here.

Thai ice tea tasted like everything other than it should have. Pretty disappointing considering they have some pretty good basic teas, but totally failed with their new«creation» paid around $ 5 for a large, and ended up throwing it out my window within two sips. Definitely do not recommend.

I like this coffee beans location! solana beach is amazing! –they had a great variety of pastries compared to most coffee beans. or at least they were displayed nicer.(if i wasnt dieting i would definitely grab myself a snack. … or 5.) –the staff was friendly and even the customers behind us were nice. We offered to let them go ahead of us and morning people are the best people. so friendly and willing to wait for you even if you are a pain in the ass which i am. –they had plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor. –the whole restaurant was clean –plenty of parking & a car wash located right across the street. –overall this place was great and this is a good community(when its not del mar fair season-the fair drags all the locals away)

I love Coffee Bean, and frequently visit the locations in Encinitas, Mission Valley, and Oceanside, and even went to a few last week while I was attending a convention in Santa Monica. Their servers are usually friendly and cordial, and their drinks never fail to hit the mark. This location, however, has disappointed me nearly every time I’ve come here. With the exception of a very few servers, the staff here is rude, argumentative, overly defensive, frequently off-task, and – for some reason – very eager to talk loudly to each other about their personal problems. I once tried to have a meeting with someone inside the coffee shop, and we could barely hear each other over how loudly one of the servers was relaying a story about his roommate’s cleanliness problem. I never felt that these were issues problematic enough to put down in a review, but I did stop going to this location as often as I did, choosing to instead get my coffee from the Del Mar location, even though this one is literally a block away from my office. What happened today made me see what a good decision this was. Here is our exchange, fully disclosed, with nothing changed: Me: Hello! I’d like to order a Carmel Brownie Ice Blend. Server: One Carmel Ice Blend… *enters it into the system* Me: Sorry, I meant a Carmel Brownie Ice Blend. Server: We don’t have that any more. Me: Oh, really? I know it was a summer feature, but I’ve been ordering it ever since. That’s okay, though, I’ll take the Carmel Ice Blend instead. *hands over a $ 20* Server: *takes the $ 20 and holds onto it, not entering it in to the system to make change* No, we don’t sell that anymore. We haven’t since summer. Me. Okay Server: You must be mistaken. *still holding the $ 20 and doing nothing to further the transaction* Me: Well, actually, I just got it from this location a few days ago. The Asian manager made it for me. Server: No. *still holding the $ 20* Me: Actually, never mind. Let me have that back. *indicates the $ 20* Server: Don’t mind if I do. *hands back the $ 20* [End Conversation) As someone who has worked in the customer service industry and trained teams around the world in best practices for improving client experiences, I have to say that the way our exchange was handled by this server was abominable. Instead of politely acknowledging my claim and simply telling me that they no longer had the ingredients to make the drink I requested, he went on to effectively call me a liar, and happily refuse to serve me, even though I was willing to change my order based on what he said he could offer. Why would a server treat a customer this way? I can’t say. What is certain, though, is that the staff here could really use a crash course in diplomacy and business ethics, for his words and actions today have made me completely detest this location. Long story short: the coffee is as great as you expect, but the service makes it awful.

Just a fabulous coffee environment. I’ve been to a lot of different coffee establishments and quite a few coffee beans, and this particular one is fabulous. The employees are excellent and very knowledgable. It’s clean, well lit, and a great place to study. The sheer variety of product is always a plus too. Also, let the baristas choose your drink, I always get excellent recommendations. Especially this great barista named Kaylin! She’s great. Jan too, well, Cinya is pretty great as well. Justin is super fabulous. Heck, they’re all great! Go get some coffee!

This place truly is worthy of 5 stars. The employees are the clincher. They are always friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable about the drink options & genuinely ask how you are. I don’t get to this location often, but when I do its always great!

I really liked this Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. From its very good coffee, excellent lemon currant scone, and to its comfortable seating and strong WiFi, I was a happy camper during me visit. I had a medium light brew drip coffee and a lemon currant scone warmed to perfection for a $ 4 and some change.( ) The scone was steaming hot when I broke it opened and was peppered with sweet tender currants throughout.( ) The inside was very moist and delicious and was a treat to eat.( ) The coffee was very goo with just the right amount of smoothness and strength. I spent some time getting some reports done, and while I was there, the employees were very hospitable, and even after I finished my coffee and scone, one of the girls came over and asked if I needed anything else.
