Do not use this provider for intranet service. I am disabled and recently moved to TX and made a poor choice by signing up with Exede. The service is the worst I’ve ever experienced, I constantly had slow connections. After a year I decided to change to another provider. I called Excede a month ago and ask what the charge would be for an early cancellation and was told $ 45. I thought that was a fair price to cancel so I changed to Times Warner. When I contacted Excede to cancel they raised the cost to $ 165.00 and would not use the money I paid for remainder of the month towards the cancellation fee. They have very poor business practices along with poor service. This company is a total rip off who screws over the customers who cancel their extremely slow and unreliable service. Please read all the reviews about this company and you will get the same story. I agree with Diana K this review should be zero stars

If I could write a review w/zero stars I would. Please read this review before considering Exede as your internet provider. I paid over $ 100 a month for a service for 2 years that I could not use. I literally had to get to a Starbux any time I needed internet. It was PAINFUL to use their service. Many times I’d be in the middle of writing a contract and the internet would shut down. Each time I called for help I’d be told that the internet is like a highway and so apparently there were a lot of people on the internet nearby… even at 11 o’clock at night… I live near a retirement community where the people are in bed by 8 p. m…they are not on the internet at 11 at night… All I can say is that I am so relieved to be done with this profoundly repulsive provider. I will say that the ladies that I have spoken to along the way over the 2 years were nothing but pleasant — so they get the star.

Unless you are desperate for Internet service avoid this company at all costs. Poor service and you have to sign a two-year contract. for me it cost over $ 250 to get out of the contract one year early. Every time I called their service department for assistance with the Internet because it stopped working they always put the blame on me. Nothing was ever their fault. I get so tired of the BS I just canceled the service just for peace of mind if nothing else. The monthly fee was in the neighborhood of $ 65 per month and the worst service I’ve ever had from anybody anywhere.

If you are a huge masochist then you’ve found the right internet provider! The upload and download speeds are crazy! Nothing like waiting an entire week to download a 5gb file! The wait is the best! Don’t even get me started on how reliable it is! Even on the brightest and clearest day, it is SLOW. I’m talking upload/download speeds of .45 mbps. It is technically IMPOSSIBLE to download anything! While i’m waiting for a youtube video to load, I managed to read Atlas Shrugged several times! Oh yeah, lets not forget! Every time they come out to my house, they leave trash EVERYWHERE. Boxes and little plastic bags, twisty ties, wires just laying in both the inside of my house and out in my yard. They even cut a long wire on my roof and just left it there. I was so grateful and excited to have to clean up after them! Not like I had anything better to do since the internet was still out! I’m filled with joy knowing that I have dedicated 24 months with them! Thank you for everything Excede!
