Never had a meal here I didn’t like. The gyros are enormous. The Greek salad is amazing(and massive). The spanakopita & Athena chicken are pretty great, but honestly I love all the food so much my best bet is to go with a few friends & order a table full of sides — dips, cheeses, lemon potatoes & naturally, the massive salad. Be warned, if you go here for lunch, you’re going to have a wait. And it will be well worth it.

As soon as I sat down I saw another patron eating something that looked absolutely delicious. I didn’t asked what it was but once I looked at the menu I knew it was the Athenian chicken. Two stacked seasoned chicken breasts with feta cheese and spinach in the middle. It’s going to be my new favorite when I’m visiting Deltona.

I am a huge fan of greek food, but also very picky after living in Europe for 4 years and traveling to Greece a few times. Being well traveled and a more importantly someone who eats a lot of food I can say with a certain amount of expertise that this place is good. I would definitely consider a special trip to DeLand just to eat here!

I find it a little disappointing how many rave reviews are on here, although time and time again we have had mediocre food. Everyone swears by Santorini’s, so we tried again. The setting isn’t relaxing or welcoming, think fluorescent lights and 1980’s restaurant supply dining chairs. But atmosphere doesn’t matter if you’re calling in for take out, right? We called early to place a takeout order and I was left(forgotten) on hold for 20 minutes before we finally hung up and waited for the line to open. I ordered our usual Greek faves: Athenian chicken, lemon potatoes, a Greek salad, gyros, and spanakopita. Honestly, the flavor was ok, but the chicken and spanakopita were both incredibly dry and there was a huge long HAIR in my salad. Not exactly appetizing! Count me out :/not sure I’ll be able to stomach another return visit.

Santorini’s is a gem in the center of DeLand that is known to locals and a pleasant surprise for visitors. There are always at least a few people waiting outside for a table, and with good cause; the food is fresh and delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I enjoyed the Atlantis Salad and a cold drink which was the perfect way to cap off a business lunch. If you enjoy Greek food in unusual places(read: small town central Florida) then this is a great spot to check out!

I absolutely love Greek food, especially Mom & Pop places and this place is THE place. One of the best Greek restaurant I’ve ever been to. Can’t wait to come back here again!

Just was here last night for the first time since moving here 2 ½ years ago. It was great. Went with some friends from out of town. Great food. Loved the chicken Santorini. Will definitely go again. It is small but they seem to do a great business. Went on a Friday night so very busy. If you have to wait it is worth it.

Went to visit this place with my fiancé for our weekly Date night & the food was amazing! Everything from the appetizer to the beer and wine and the main course. Even the desert which was, Galatabureko, was outstanding! Two thumbs up goes to this little spot in the heart of Deland. And the staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server cicely was great! She recommended us everything we ordered and what a great choice she made! Thank you Santorini’s! We will definitely be back again :)

The best smelt(little fish) I have had for a long time. Just had the appetizer smelt. Just a light coating and deep fried to perfection. De-lish. Also ordered gyro plate with lemon potatoes. Portions were large and oh so Greek. Can’t wait til next week to go again. Will recommend to anyone wanting very good greek food with a nice atmosphere.

This small restaurant in historic downtown DeLand offers the absolute best Greek food we’ve found anywhere in the South! The roasted chicken with lemon potatoes is awesome, and the flaming cheese appetizer(Saganaki) is so delicious it will be a new addiction. The friendly and attentive service made us feel welcome. We finished our meal with a great baklava and Greek coffee, and — even though it’s an hour from our home — we will be regulars at Santorini.

Best Greek food I’ve ever had. I had the Chicken Limone and it was absolutely delectable. Covered in a lemon sauce with their incredible lemon potatoes on the side. The portions are generous. The food is made from scratch and definitely made with love. If you are planning to visit for lunch, be sure to be there no later than 11:15AM. The place is small and will get crowded very quick.

Delicious Greek cuisine. Santorini’s is located right in the old downtown district of Deland right near Stetson University. We came in for lunch. We had the Pikilia as an appetizer which was a pick 3 app. We had the Hummus which was very good and fresh; also we had the Tzatziki and the Scordalia. All great spreads with slices of pita bread. Good stuff. Then I ordered the Gyro Sandwich with a side of fries. I don’t know what a Gyro Sandwich is but let me say it looked like the regular gyro wrap. But damn that lamb was good and filling. I am definitely returning for the dinner entrees at some point. Great family owned place. Opa! Opa! Opa!

The food taste wonderful!!! What a place! And the portions were huge! Oh my, the flambé cheese was the best… Actually the lamd shank, the stuffed chicken, the gyro and even the salad were amazing! The service was great and friendly too! Definitely worth it!

I travel to Deland for business every few months and coming to this restaurant is one of the highlights of each visit. It has a very cozy atmosphere and friendly service, but the food is the star. The grilled octopus is phenomenal and super tender. I’ve never had octopus that tender in any other restaurant. The lemon potatoes are so rich(they come with a healthy amount of oil), but really tangy and delicious. I’ve visited with a greek colleague who indicated that their food is very authentic and reminds him of home. I’ve tried their chicken kabob, baked fish, chicken cofu and hummus as well. Can’t say I’ve had a bad meal the times I’ve dined there. It gets very busy during lunch and dinner time, which is a good indicator of how good the place is, but makes it worthwhile to plan to go early to avoid the wait.

On my first visit I had their gyro platter and an order of hummus. The food was fantastic, they are not afraid of garlic and onion, the portions were large, and I am definitely bookmarking this place for whenever I am in the area.

I’m glad I heeded the warning to get here early because even on a midweek day at 11:45 it was nearly full. Service was prompt and friendly, and the décor was typical of little Greek cafes/diners — familiar paintings of the Greek harbors on the walls, etc. They have a substantial menu with the staples — gyro, moussaka, spanakopita — and they’re done well. We ordered the grilled octopus as an appetizer and got two huge tentacles. Unfortunately, they were barely grilled and the outer skin was sloughing off into a mushy pile. However, the flesh underneath was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the flavor with the garlic, peppers and olive oil only needed a squeeze of lemon to bring it to excellence. My father ordered a sausage pita and I had a gyro pita sandwich. Both of us agreed they were heavy-handed on the tzatziki, but the meat was plentiful and moist, spiced just right. Everything was super fresh and delicious. While not the best Greek restaurant I’ve been to in Florida, definitely a good place to stop by for lunch if you’re in the Deland area. And now I know where to get a good gyro(just need to order the platter next time so I can build my own).

Very good quality dishes and service! I tried and highly recommend the horiatiki salad which is cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, onion, olives, feta and the best greek dressing. The small size is still HUGE! The dressing was so good that I spent another $ 8 to get a to go container of it! I also recommend the spanakopita and the chicken lemon soup. Then I had the moussaka and greek style peas which were also good. Then I got the custard dessert and a wedding cookie to go which I enjoyed later. I forgot to take a pic of the entrée and deserts! The people are very nice that work here.

had to wait an hour for a table, but worth every minute! They even came outside with a free Spanikopita app for the people who were waiting. Great service excellent food, good value! Will definitly recommend and return. We had Lemon chicken soup, Spanikopita and Athenian Chicken(split by two) and chocolate cake desert. Left full and satisfied.
