Toms Pizza

To be honest and up front, I am a Tom’s baby. That is to say, as a second generation DeLandite, I have been consuming their food since my mom was pregnant with me.
My favorite sub: Mr. Ed — it’s a cheesesteak (with onions and provolone) amped up with diced ham, mushrooms and American cheese added in.
Their Ranch dressing is unlike any other. If you want the runny generic style ranch, don’t order ranch here. This ranch is a favorite for dipping the pizza in, yeah that’s how most of the locals do it.
Sometimes it is hard to choose between pizza or a cheesesteak, so I will go middle ground with their pizza cheesesteak sub.
They offer lots of different items, and can get crazy busy during «normal» lunch and dinner times; so if you are not a fan of community style seating, wait until a little later or show up earlier.
Lana, Lloyd, and Desiree (along with their fantastic staff) do a fantastic job of keeping the tradition alive!

Hands down the best pizza in the area. The staff is very nice and polite. The wings are also pretty good. But the best part is definitely the pizza!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in DeLand! The owners and staff are awesome — they truly care about each customer. I haven’t had a meal here I didn’t like. It’s all delicious! My favorites include the Caesar salad, pizza, and subs. This place fills up fast during lunch, but I promise you, it’s worth the wait.

Give this place a shot if you havent already. They have great food at good prices. The staff are all very friendly as well. They have a full menu including pizza, salads, subs etc.

So I’ve been in and out of Volusia County all my life and I’ve NEVER had Toms Pizza. Until now. It’s AMAZING! I got the large pep pizza and it was super thin, super crispy, and super perfect! We also had breadsticks which might the best I’ve ever had. The place was packed when I went to pick up and it was a tight fit but the waitresses were super nice and helpful. The cashier even offered to top off my soda before I left. I’m so glad I got that for dinner it was beyond delicious and I’ll definitely return.

I love Tom’s Pizza. I crave those little squares of crunchy crust, tomato and cheese. For me the best pizza in town. It is different but that’s what I like about it. The place is warm and friendly. The staff is very attentive and fast. Love going there at least 2 or 3 times a month. Very inexpensive, too!

Subs are good! I ordered the hot turkey sub and it was delish! On the other hand the pizza isnt our favorite. Kids loved the wings & chicken strips! We’ll be back in for lunch again for subs!

I ordered from here last week to aid in my husband’s quest to find the best pizza in DeLand, but unfortunately the journey continues. I opted for the mild boneless buffalo wings which I thought were really good. Even though they were mild they still had a bite, the breading was crunchy while the chicken itself was moist and tender.
I didn’t try the pizza, but my husband said it was «okay». If he feels like having pizza we might here again, but it’s certainly not the kind of pizza that he will get a craving for.
I’m interested in trying some of the other items on the menu so we will probably return.

This is one of those restaurants that you will never forget the people or the food.
The owners are amazing and have well trained staff that enhance the experience exponentially with their friendly approach to everything.
The food is nothing short of extremely delicious.
For $ 5 you can get an ice cold beer and fantastically fried onion rings!
The pizza is different from everything you have tried before. The perfectly sauced, square sliced pie is always topped with a healthy amount of fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Ham and onion! (See the pic!)
The bar has huge flat screen tvs so you can either come grab some beers and a quick bite to watch the game or you can simply be entertained briefly while they fetch your To Go order.
This is the best pizza place I have ever been to!!! If this place delivered I would never cook.

Apparently a local favourite, and obviously for good reasons. Here’s how we went:
— slice pizzas: got Tom’s Combo (meats and veggies) and Tom’s Veggie (veggies only). $ 2.25 per slice, you get your own little pizza wheel which was a great fun to use, all the toppings were tender and tasty, with nice thin crispy base and crust. We did NOT like that the pizzas were not hot enough.
— Italian sandwich –in the photo-​, very dry, so we had to ask for extra Italian dressing which made it a lot better, but the sub itself lacked flavour. For any Italian sub connoisseurs out there, we would not recommend this.
— cheese bread: the server lady described this as a pizza turned inside out, and she was spot on. This was freshly made and we could tell because it was piping hot, plenty of cheese, came with salsa and ranch sauce. We loved this.
— We also liked the family vibe and friendly fast service.

I just had to give them 5 stars after several visits just to make sure I didn’t just catch them on a good day the first few times when I gave them four. I was correct in my original review this place ROCKS!!!’ Pizza by the slice and the subs are heavenly the hot pepperoni is addicting I had to force myself to try something else today so I did I ordered the hot pepperoni sub with double meat and a single slice of pizza I just had to taste the pizza I shared it with a friend. :) The service has always been great!!!

Great service, great pizza. I came here today simply on the feedback I saw on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. Best pizza joint I have been to in Florida so far. I’ll definitely be back.

Square Pizza is amazing. the Staff is always fun and helpful. And if someone is having a birthday they may slide you a piece of cake.

This place is awesome. But its not for everyone, you either really dislike it or really love it. i always get pizza with ranch, and every now and then will switch it up with a Mr. Ed salad, also awesome :) One of my most fav places in Deland!

We love Tom’s! I’ve been going for almost 20 years (yikes!). The pizza is thin crust and unlike anywhere else. I’ve eaten there hundreds of times and have never gotten bad service.

Toms is great! Their pizza is so good, and on the cheap side. I usually get the subs which are tasty. The only thing I wish would get a little better is there service. I understand their busy but they can pay a little more attention to their customers.

The pizza, the breadsticks, the sandwiches, the salads and the beer — all good reasons to go to Tom’s. Friday nights are very busy — it’s a family-​owned & operated place that’s loved by DeLandites, far and wide. Service is great, even when they’re busy and the food is awesome! Just had to add my 2 cents worth!

Family owned and great service. On a Friday night, you can barely find a table (but in a good way)! Good pizza, wings, and beer!

Another of my top Deland faves. Come here for the sandwiches and pizza. If you’re into thin, order your slices of pizza all crust and prepare to be amazed.
All the best «hole in the wall» pizza places should strive to be like Tom’s. I won’t bore you with how long I’ve been coming here too but well… since you asked… its been over 15 years!
