If you’re looking for a good crab feast, this is where it’s at! Plenty of food to indulge in and very helpful and attentive staff. The wait was very quick and the food was well worth the money! Blue crabs, fried shrimp, fried chicken, corn on the cob, hush puppies, fries, crab dip and pretzel bites with beer to accommodate the food was well worth the Eastern Shore experience!

I have been here several times and sadly it appears the Old Mill has taken a wrong turn! Despite the small size, the crabs were full. Oddly there was only 1 claw found on a dozen or so crabs. The clam strips, shrimp, and hush puppies do not appear to be freshly prepared. The chicken is great, moist and crispy! I ordered the New England Steampot! Clams okay, shrimp boiled with old bays sprinkled on top! Potatoes shriveled and nasty. The lobster claws were dried up and small. I was disappointed all the way around! PS-you know that good smell when your outside the restaurant of crabs cooking! None of that either!!!

We found this place on accident about seven years ago on our way up to Pennsylvania. It is off the main highway and you drive through an area of houses then you come up to the restaurant. If you love crabs you must visit here. They have all you can eat blue crabs and crab legs. People travel from all around so the lines get very long fast. They are only open from six till 11. I have learned if you can get there around 530 you can get a great seat without having to wait. They start you off by bringing you a big baskets of fried chicken, fried clam strips, Hushpuppies, fried shrimp and corn on the cob which is all you can eat also. But be careful not to be tempted and fill up before the seafood comes. In a few minutes and they come out with a big tray and place the crabs right on the table which is lined with paper. There are no plates here or crab crackers for your crab legs. Maybe a little messy but every table has its own trash can located at the end of the table for you to drop in your shells. The place stays very busy but every time I have been there the service has been excellent. Everyone is moving quickly. They bring the good out fast and drinksEverything is always fresh and hot. The establishment is always clean. I would recommend if you are in the area.

Stopped here for dinner on our way to the beach for the weekend. My family raved about how great it was. I was not impressed. The service was painfully slow. When our food finally made it out, the server used a trash can from a neighboring table to set the tray down. That didn’t bother me, but it really bothered the germaphobe in our party. I had clam strips, fries, steamed shrimp, corn on the cob and crab dip with soft pretzels. All but the crab dip came out lukewarm at best and overcooked. The shrimp just looked gross, white and with some kind of slimy goo. I’ve never seen shrimp look like that… Clam strips were virtually inedible and the corn wasn’t much better. My trip did not line up whatsoever with the other posts. As an Eastern Shore native for over 25 years, this was a horrible representation of how we do seafood. Overpriced, slow, and poorly done. I wouldn’t come back if you paid me.

Holy Crabs Batman! We found this place by chance, I was geocaching with friends across VA, DE, MD&NJ and we were looking for a seafood place on Day 2. This was the second choice as the first was more of a take-out place. The Unilocal reviews were good, the pictures looked great and there was no wait!(PS they don’t take reservations are weekends) After grabbing a geocache hidden near the parking lot and taking a pic with the giant crab outside my friend and I walked in to meet with our other friends that went in to get the table. Walking in the décor was cute, not as New England as I expected however most of my NE experience is the Cape, MA and RI. There is nothing fancy here but based upon the amount of full tables and the lobby as we walked out this place is obliviously a favorite. Sitting there you see mounds and mounds of crabs being piled up on the tables around you, no one in my party ordered the limitless crab option however two of them said they would have enjoyed it. For a starter I ordered hush puppies and upon delivery was a bit confused as they are served with powdered sugar, such a savory corn treat with the powdered sugar was not a favorite for me. My friends and I tried some with the powdered sugar but we afterwards picked out pieces with little to no sugar on them. They hush puppies were cooked perfectly, all corn meal meaning no bits of corn which is absolutely fine as I love them either way. They were moist and delicious. My meal was a single crab cake, fries and ear of corn. The crab cake was ok, it had LOTS of crab meat which I enjoyed, it was not overly breaded either however I am not sure what they use to make, maybe mayonnaise or another sauce that wasn’t so great aside from that the ears of corn were over boiled, still eatable but not as crisp as my friend and I are used to when eating boiled corn. It does come boiled whole, in the husk which is great. I have friends that love seafood and if ever get them in this area I would totally come back here and try something different, maybe the endless crab!

From the Unilocal reviews I was expecting much better. A few things: * The crabs weren’t sweet and rather bland. I bought a dozen(not the all you can eat thing) and they were small. * I also order one of their feasts for the table — it was rubbish. The snow crabs were OK but the clams were dry and bland. Just no good. * The hush puppies were OK… but it’s fried bread, so who cares? * The waitress was new, but had no clue what was going on. * Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I will not be going back. There are too many good spots for seafood on the shore.

Found this gem through some locals that live here. Crappy part is that we all live in the Dover area so we have to drive over an hour to get here but that speaks to how much it is worth it. The all you can eat crab legs are amazing! And the fried chicken, fried shrimp, clam strips and hush puppies are amazing too. Get there when they open or there will be a wait. Expect to drop $ 50 per person.

Stopped by on the way home from Ocean City and Assateague beaches and it was a nice way to cap off our seaside outing. We opted for the indulgent mini feasts; SX went for the snow crab legs and I went for the blue crab. Their blue crab isn’t steamed in the old bay seasonings, but rather is steamed and then dusted with old bay. This makes their crabs more tolerable to those with a mild palate. Each mini feasts include 2 pieces of fried chicken, hush puppies(they top theirs with powdered sugar), 2 ears of steamed corn, fried clams, and fried shrimp. I also upgraded/added my fried shrimp for steamed shrimp for an additional charge. Each table comes with it’s own garbage can and the place is surprisingly cleaner than I had imagined. They only have wooden mallets for cracking here, as our server explained that people were taking home their metal ones. We left here with our bellies bustin’ and a doggy bag home. There’s two parking lots, one in front and one in back; plenty of spots.

So my girlfriend has spoke about this place to me for awhile and I told her next time we are in Ocean city we would visit them. How ever come to find out the Ocean city location is closed. With that said we spent the last weekend of August in OCMD. First night there we decided to do dinner at old mill. I was skeptical because it was 55 mins away from our hotel. My girlfriend assured me that it would be worth the trip, but I wondered she hasn’t been in a few years and she being such a picky eater what could she have eaten. So we decided to try it. Plain and simple worth the drive. I would drive further for it. Service was great. Our waiter always checked with us to see if we needed anything. The mini feasts are huge portions we ended up ordering 2 feasts with add ons and clams for appetizers. This fed 4 people, food was amazing. Corn on the cob was fresh from the corn fields that you drive past on the way there. The crabs are fresh and cooked perfectly. This is a must go

Make sure you arrive about 15 minutes before opening. There will be a line waiting wrapped around. They opened promptly at 4 pm. It has been advertised as the best crabs for 17 years I understand why! I got the all you can eat crab special. It was 44.99 which is expensive but worth it so I suggest you come on an empty stomach. 2 pieces of fried chicken, fried clam strips, fried shrimps, corn & hush puppies. If you do this special each person has to pay for the special & no doggy bags. They have another crab special but this one is 34.99 but instead of all you can eat crabs you get 5 blue crabs. It was easy to find with GPS coming from Smyrna. Definitely will cone back when I want some crabs they were very juicy!

Went to Old Mill Crab House today. You must get here early. We got here at 4:50 because they open at 5pm and there was already a line of people waiting… We got inside and were promptly seated. Elizabeth was our server. She was very nice and attentive even though she had many tables. The fried chicken was tasty and the food was delivered hot. The only reason for the four stars is the hefty $ 50 pp all you can eat price tag… Smh. You do get hush puppies, fried chicken, corn, fried clams, and jumbo fried shrimp included in that price though. I would return

This has been a staple spot for my entire family. I have even brought people from work and church, friends, EVERYBODY. All you can eat snow crabs or blue crabs with hush puppies(extra powdered sugar), fried chicken, fried shrimp, clam strips, hot corn on the cob, $ 35BUCKS!!! get drinks like beer and regular beverages by the pitcher, and also a bar where u can get other drinks… they also have steak, crab dip, other regular platters, fish… I mean how can you go wrong! I have been here before they added the dessert section on the side of the building… OMG…you can get ice cream cone, milkshake… yes yes!!! I would always stop at dairy queen on the way home, nowwwwww you don’t have too. But for this price per person for continuous piles of food over and over… it’s awesome. And it’s great fresh seafood… or course with any pile of crab you get them 2 not so good crabs but 99 percent of the time in a piles of 12 crabs every 12 min PUREAWESOMENESS. I go at least 3 or 4 times a year.

Imagine. All you want is crab. Covered in old bay. And fresh corn with butter. You’re on the eastern shore near Salisbury. Where to go??? I asked a local and they didn’t even hesitate. Now put it in yr gps and look for the HUGE crab out front and you’ll know you’re there! They have AYCE but they sell it by the dozen. Ask about the size of the crabs and then make your decision. The crab was so good. Just like it’s supposed to be. The corn tasted like it was just picked and delivered to the table. Old bay everywhere and they give you more just in case! Each table is equipped with their own garbage can. Awesome! Shells go in to the trash! More room for crab! Although i think some tables is a badge of honor to see how many shells you can pile up… impressive! Note: if you want to do AYCE be there at least two hours before closing. Closing means when the close the kitchen and you’ll be out of luck if you get there too late…

Old Mill Crab House was highly recommended to me by a co-worker of mine after asking where great seafood can be found. I Googled them at reviewed the menu and decided it was a 2 ½ hour trip that we needed to take and check them out. We set out on Sunday around 11:30am; sunny, 74 degrees with light traffic. As we turned off of the main road(50E), the scenery resembled that of Georgia back roads that were paved. There were miles of corn fields, grazing horses and beautifully landscaped properties on both sides of the road. If I had not programmed the restaurant into the GPS app I used, I would have thought we were lost or heading in the wrong direction. Finally arriving, we knew we were at the right location by the huge crab in front. We parked and waited until 3pm for them to open, after arriving at 2:30pm. As we entered, we were quickly seated and greeted by Shannon our waitress. Each table is covered with brown paper and a trash can for shells and other food debris. We studied the menu and asked Shannon questions about meals and drink. If you order«all you can eat snow or blue crabs, they cannot and I stress CANNOT be shared. Angel decided on all you can eat blue crabs and I ordered the snow crabs. Had no idea it would be this much food! Had no idea it would be this much food! Ok, so this is what is included with each AYCE(all you can eat) meal: Snow or Blue Crabs Fried chicken(your choice of white or dark meat) One ear of the sweetest white corn Fried or steamed shrimp,(steamed shrimp extra), clam strips The two orders are placed on a large tray and provided to you on the table. I almost became full looking at the amount of food that was brought to us. Unfortunately, we did not try to finish all and had to leave some behind. That’s right no doggy bags :-( If you are hungry for seafood galore, plan to visit the Old Mill Crab House; get there early and wait in the parking lot if you have to. Angel and I took our time, ate what we could which took an hour and a half. When we were leaving the waiting area was filled with those waiting to be seated. On our next trip, we will order from the entrée menu and take home what we can’t finish. Overall, we were very pleased that our long trip to eat was worth it and looking forward to our return! Enjoy!

Fresh crab, mad amounts. Lobster claws were gigantic. I got the AYCE crab legs. They do not skimp on the amounts they give you, and the check ins are quite often. The fried clams were not great, but whatever. If you come here, you know what’s good and what to get. But there is one thing I need to single out — those hush puppies. Oh my goodness. Who eats 5 hush puppies in an AYCE seafood restaurant? I do. Those things were that good, I just had to keep eating them.

Stopped by Old Mill on the way to the Outer Banks again, and was not disappointed. Another crack at AYCE blue crab spiced just right with loads of fried shrimp, hushpuppies, fried clam strips, fried chicken and corn on the cob — all amazing! The price is a tad high at 39.99 per person for the AYCE crab deal, but if you have time to spend, plan on a few hours of great crab! BTW, the server we had, Patience, was amazing!
