Carousel Salon

unfortunately had to go elsewhere to fix my haircut after visiting this place. I just needed straight across cut right above my shoulders to get nice clean look. Lady just put my hair down and cut it in 2 minutes. that’s it, did not section it at all to cut. she dried it and curled on the ends, which I asked not to. Because of the curl I could not see how uneven it was. When I got home I straightened my hair and i saw I had shorter and longer pieces sticking out here and there. Because hair wasn’t sectioned to cut, the ends were too heavy and did not lay down nicely. Had to go to another place that I’ve been to before and pay another 60 $, the other girl took her time to fix it, at least for 1 hour she was just was working on a cut.
I was very surprised I had such a problem with simplest cut, specially since I have perfectly straight hair, very easy to work with

So I visited Carousel for a pumpkin spice mani pedi, and it was every bit as delightful as it sounds! If the groupon is still available I suggest you, gentle reader, snatch that up before it goes the way of the buffalo. The salon itself is adorable (I need to find that chandelier!!) but the lovely staff and unique offerings make it a stand-​out. The pumpkin spice sugar scrub and lotion they use are heavenly. And whatever top coat they use is pretty amazing too-​I got the most mileage out if this manicure than any other I’ve ever had. My lovely manicurist informed me that the salon also offers a chocolate mani pedi, and best believe I will be coming back for that!

I’m not from the area so the first thing I did was get on Unilocal and see if any salons had any good reviews. This one did. So I made and appointment and showed up 30mins early. Melody took me right in regardless of being early. I have long and thick hair so I was a little anxious if she was going to be able to handle my hair. She asked what I wanted and I told her; 1 inch around the ends, color, wash, cut and dry.
From the moment I sat on her chair she made me feel comfortable, relaxed and like I’ve known her forever. She was patient with my hair. She wasn’t worried about her next appointment. It was all about me and that’s how it felt the who time. She did an awesome job with my hair. The color came out wonderful. The cut and dry were excellent. She can handle a lot of hair.
The salon itself is very energetic, clean and inviting. Everyone shares stories and if you’re there when all the nanas are in there, you’re in for a fun time. They are hilarious.
Anyway, Melody is great. If I’m still here by my next hair tune up, I’m going to see her. She has a great and warm personality and she will keep you engaged. Time just flew by.

I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve had a great experience. I got my hair highlighted and cut by Jen. She did an awesome job and is very personable. I am continuously getting compliments on my hair. I definitely recommend this salon and Jen.

So I tried a new place for a mani/​pedi. This was one of my best experiences. Melinda was awesome. She made me so comfortable, almost like I have known her for years. If I am in the area I will definitely be back!

Ugh terrible experience! Purchased a groupon to check out this place for a mani/​pedi. I made an evening appointment and when I asked for a french manicure I got an eye roll; the employee said she can’t make a «straight line» and told me to pick out a color. They had a selection of only 10 – 15 colors; all of which are too dark. With apprehension I picked one and had to wait 15 minutes because she was on the phone with someone to find out how to take off gel manicures. She looked so annoyed I was there; after she «figured it out» she started to file the first nail and ended up filing and hurting my finger. Clearly she has never done nails before! I told her she was hurting me and filed my finger; she responded with a terrible, annoyed look and with no apology! I could not believe this. I got up and left. I went down the street and paid over twice as much but well worth it! I can’t speak for their other services but I can tell you they’re not friendly and I was their only customer. It’s no wonder they’re scrambling for business. It’s all about the people and this b*tch with an attitude employee is ruining what the owners work so hard to build!

I recently tried carousel salon as I am new to area and I needed a haircut. Not knowing a good barber, I decided to stop in to check out this place as it’s near the local post office. I found out it’s under new ownership as the new owner had greeted me when I walked in. She was pleasant and so I decided to get my haircut. The place looked really nice and wasn’t overly stuffy like some other salons I’ve seen in the area. Their prices were reasonable too. I would Definately come back to Carousel Salon. I have to say I got one of the best men’s haircut I’ve ever had! Everyone was so nice! I’ll be sending my wife there for sure!

I have been going to Linda for probably 13 years or so and she is really great, I followed her from the last barber shop she worked at, to Carousel. (She use to work at Otts in Willingboro.) The salon is always busy when I’m there. I would call first to make an appt. just to be safe.
