Abbey Delray South

My mother has lived here over ten years and ever since they remodeled the facility and built a new kitchen and expanded the dining areas the quality of the food has deteriorated dramatically, often inedible and decreased portions.
The residents have been told that the food budget had been reduced but my mother says she’s never seen the food suffer this much. She says there are extremely vocal residents who’ve expressed outrage but apparently nothing is being done. This has been going on for over a year.
I’d highly recommend that if your family member or you are considering buying an apartment in Abbey Delray South or North that you question the sales and marketing representative on the financial viability of LifeSpace and what steps are being taken to allocate appropriate funds to hiring cooks, dining room staff and higher quality food. Right now it’s subpar and unacceptable and no one working at Abbey/​LifeSpace is willing to answer why this is happening or when/​if it will be remedied.

Came to visit my Aunt on a Wednesday evening. Great staff, the health center is very clean. And the staff is very friendly. My aunt says she likes it here better than aby other nursing home she has been in and she has been in 3 so far. She has been in this one for 3 months so far and has never complained. She says the majority of patients that are there are alzheimers and dementia patients. They have a beautiful outside garden where you can sit and talk
