Although the pizza was decent, I am actually frightened to go back. The employees there have a lot to learn about cleanliness and proper food handling and storage. First, I watched the young lady at the register go from counting money to touching food without washing her hands. Then, I saw the guy who makes the pizza handle money and then started pressing the pizza dough with his dirty hands. In the back, near the bathrooms, it was dirty. This is an issue mainly because the tray where they store the pizza dough is sitting on a cart right outside the bathroom. Someone should really call the health department on this place. They have no clue what they are doing.

Wanted a quick pizza for the game. The staff was friendly, I ordered a plain pepperoni. They messed up the order and gave me a plain cheese for $ 17 instead. They made it wrong. This is nowhere near a $ 17 pizza. Very plain, not much cheese. Pizza Hut has better pies. I prefer Mario’s, Nicks New Haven, Fratelli’s or Sazio’s. Just my two cents. Because of the price and the quality, I won’t be ordering again. Sorry, there are just better pizza’s out there and the same or lower price range.

Brooklyns Pizza makes one of the best Sicilian pies I yet to find in the area. They also have one of the few stone ovens, unlike Pizza Hut, Dominos or any chain restaurants. They are not cheap, but then again, you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly, a family owned and operated business. It’s not unusual as a regular to get extra’s on the side, no charge. That’s the way good establishments treat their good customers and keep them coming back. The décor, are diner style, tables. The walls though covered with pictures of famous actors and actresses, whom were born or rose to stardom in the New York or Brooklyn area. Im disappointed they don’t have«Welcome Back Cotter,» as a photo, as that brings back memories of the New York I knew, that or «All in the Family» or «The Jeffersons». What I like the most other than the pizza, excellent Canolies and the family atmosphere, is its a good place to meet someone, as its not so loud you can’t hear what your guest on the other side of the table is saying. I would highly recommend Brooklyn’s Original Pizza as one of the closest to the real deal NYC, Italian pizza outside of Little Italy one can get in the Boynton, Delray, Boca area. — Peter Solomon

Worst pizza ever. Got our order wrong. Not enough sauce. No where near Ny pizza. Dominoes is better lol. Also they try to over charge you so be careful if you do order. Totally over priced. Can you give no stars?

I thought it was impossible to have bad pizza until I got takeout from here. When we were on vacation we got this pizza due to the 5 star reviews, however the reviews are extremely inflated by either friends or family because this was probably the worst pizza I have ever had. This definitely did not taste like NY style pizza, I’m not sure if I am spoiled by New England pizza but I would rather eat a frozen Celeste pizza than eat this again. Buyer beware!

Extremely friendly service. I too felt like I was back in my original hometown of Brooklyn. The cheese and sauce were great. Tasted like the real deal just like back home. Was hoping for a more crispy bottom though. Three slices and 220 ounce bottles of soda came out to about $ 11 so I guess the prices were okay especially since the slices were very large. I would go back again both for the pizza and the Brooklyn experience.

The best pizza in Delray. Just passing through the neighborhood and saw the new sign. We actually just had dinner but since it was Christmas Eve and they were going to be closed for two days, we decided to go in and try a slice(such a NY thing to do!). The guy behind the counter-didn’t get his name(sorry Flushing, I’ll get it next time) was a great guy and has been making pizza since he was 14 years old. It shows. The meat lovers was fantastic. The sausage had great flavor and there was just the right amount of sauce. The shrimp scampi had a generous amount of wonderful roasted garlic and the shrimp wasn’t over cooked. The crust was simply perfect. Thin, crisp and easy to fold. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Saw the Grand Opening sign on my way to another business in the strip mall and had to try it. Few pizza places deliver to the Intracoastal and beach communities and the ones that do are either too busy or aren’t very good. When you walk in, the place smacks Brooklyn! From the walls to the accents of the cooks and pizza makers. We felt like we were transported. We ordered Fried Calamari appetizer and The Works Pizza. It didn’t take too long but while waiting, he enjoyed a geography and history lesson about Brooklyn. These guys are the real deal! The pizza was thin, full of fresh ingredients and very tasty. In fact, it’s right up there with Sal’s on Linton and Military. Maybe even better. The calamari was tender, light and really good. Not salty or tough at all. This is our new pizza place! Fuggetaboutit!!’
