How many times have you driven last this place and wondered? Me too… we stopped today for a late lunch. There are 6 parking spaces and just as many tables inside. The staff was welcoming and the place is well kept. There is also a bar with tvs, beer and wine. We had the Philly Cajun chicken and it was good. Fries were seasoned and also tasty. The patty melt was alright, nice bread and onions grilled right. The starter of Texas tumble weed oinion rings were delicious but the onion rings were just ok, tasted like they came from the freezer. We would definitely come back again to try something else!

We’re locals in Delray and just had to put in a good word again as you guys are really doing a great job!!! If you haven’t tried this locals place, you must as you will never be disappointed! Good diner fare with healthy options too. The variety will please everyone whether you’d like a burger, ribs, onion rings or grilled fish and salads! Enjoy a beer or glass of wine too! Staff very good, can’t say enough to praise Francesca! Not your typical diner… get in there! Ciao!

OMG, I gotta tell ya, this place was jammed packed and people waiting, but the service by Francesca, Brian, and the chefs was nothing short of excellent! Food was awesome, I had the BCBB burger and my wife had the chicken ceaser salad with shrimp. Both done to perfection! The staff worked seamlessly together, cannot say enough good things about them.

Although the food is always great, the poor service has earned Grangers two stars. When placing an order over the phone you should not be required to wait 5 minutes just to speak with someone. Their food is 5 stars every and any night but the service continues to be mediocre at best. If this service changes I will adjust the rating accordingly.

I’ve been here a few times. I like it a lot because it had a good neighborhood vibe. I feel like they have gotten a little pricey. Good comfort food, and the staff is always friendly.

In the mood for some serious comfort food? Well then, you’ve come to the right place. Granger’s is no joke when it comes down to serving up everything from wings to burgers to all sorts of specialty sandwiches in between. My wife and two little kids had just landed in Fort Lauderdale on our way to Delray Beach when the kids started beginning for chicken fingers. I was in the mood for something a little spicy, and my wife is always on the hunt for vegetarian fare that isn’t boring. And of course, thanks to the trusty Unilocal,we quickly found ourselves pulling into Granger’s Bar & Grill. Score. It was much smaller than I expected having seen the photos, but it was cozy in all the ways a comfort food joint like this should be. Service was super-friendly and attentive. And as our food was being prepared, we kept ourselves entertained by playing with the Trivial Pursuit cards stationed at each table. Honestly, it was the perfect place to cool our heels for an hour after our endless odyssey traveling down from good olé Jerz. As you can see from the photo, my wife won the prize for best-looking order: an R.J. Murphy, made with two veggie burger patties smothered in fried onions, peppers, and mushrooms, and topped with melted sharp cheddar. It was absolutely delicious. My wife could barely get through half of it. I did my best trying to find something remotely healthy, opting for a grilled chicken sandwich — the Black & Bleu, to be exact. Alas, this ain’t no healthy grilled chicken sandwich. After being given a thick dusting of blackened seasoning before being grilled to perfection, this monster is then topped with several slices of thick, crispy bacon, and then slathered in a tangy ocean of freshly melted blue cheese. This one was a real knife-and-forker, but it was well worth all the effort to work it down. All in all, a fun place I’d definitely come back to. Except next time, I’d come either starving and after a few adult beverages, or starving and needing to kill a hangover. After all, isn’t that why comfort food was invented?

Here is a place that you can certainly like if not love, regardless of what kind of food you love. Why? Because this place is run by someone who obviously cares about food and its preparation. It’s not fancy. It’s not expensive. It’s not cheap either. It’s about quality and taste and providing delicious food at a reasonable price. If you read the menu, you will see that it’s clear the owner is letting you know all this up front. It’s a well designed menu which balances both the very basic and standard dishes any American restaurant(of no discernible ethnic cuisine otherwise) would provide: Burgers. Salads. Meatloaf. Lots of sandwiches featuring chicken, beef, and pork, if not the occasional turkey or lamb. And since we’re in Florida, of course there’s going to be some fish and other seafood; it would be crazy not to feature that. They’re not crazy. You may find that you want to keep this place a secret. They don’t take reservations — but they DO let you call in to reserve an entrée special. Think about that for a minute if you have to, because that indicates the attitude about a place like this, that knows the kind of clientele it wants and gets. Every recipe this restaurant uses has been examined thoroughly, managed, modified and perfected. You can tell from the way it’s assembled and seasoned that this is not just diner food, even if you can order the same general meal at any diner in the US. From the type of cheese used on one sandwich vs. another, to the amount of spice used in the chili, the restaurant makes each dish properly and with care. Their soups are especially noteworthy. Every one we have tried has been among the tastiest and highest quality as any I have ever had, in any restaurant, of any level of dining. The meat-to-vegetable-to-broth-to-seasoning ratio is always spot on – and I don’t mean that’s it bland or over-spiced. It’s essentially(dare I say this?) Goldilocks style: JUSTRIGHT. Wait staff are efficient if brisk… but always friendly. Kitchen staff can be seen in the window, working hard for this small location. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality and location. There is not a lot of parking, but then again there are not a lot of tables. Avoid the rush hours if possible to get seating quickly. It’s worth modifying your schedule a little I think. Portions are(as expected) generous but not ridiculous; you might end up taking home half your sandwich if you want to leave room for dessert or if you had an appetizer. You’ll probably be happier if you do take it home so you can have the additional variety(you’re going to like what you order, so order more!) Don’t stuff yourself and regret it, just ask for small box and take it home. It’ll taste good later.

This place is quaint and the food is PHENOMENAL! The salads are HUMONGOUS! The chili is yummy and very hearty. Service is great. They have some really interesting books to read while you’re waiting… which isn’t very long. I think this is going to be that place that I take people when they visit ton impress them. Super stoked about finding this little gem. Do yourself a favor and just go there for lunch.

I’d give this a 4.5! Excellent burger… and I’d go back for it. One of, if not, the best I’ve come across here in the area. The fries were good, not great. The onion strings before dinner were very good… a bit peppery. My dad had a heaping portion of meatloaf that he said was very good, along with smashed potatoes and glazed carrots. I’ll be back!

This place is incredible. The food is perfect. The service impeccable. And the speed and accuracy of order is out of this world. We order the French bourbon soup a chef salad and a chicken grilled chicken Caesar salad first of all the French onion soup took 2 days to prepare. When I got here I wanted to eat not only the suit but the bowl that it came in. Then the salads came out they were so big I thought I was eating a super bowl salad I want to come back here again great little secret.

A classic American diner is not a spot I’d normally pick for dinner, but I was visiting my brother in Boynton Beach and he recommended it for our group. The portion sizes were very generous, the food was of good quality, and the service was attentive. The restaurant was a bit on the small size, and I understand it can become very packed in the later evening hours.

Visiting from L.A. And was excited to try this place after reading Unilocal reviews. Right off the bat they were out of French onion soup which was disappointing. Food was pretty good, but the bitchy/inattentive server we had got my husband’s order wrong(he ordered the fish sandwich and she brought out fish and chips) and rather than apologize, she said«I heard fish and chips». She was rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. Wish we had chosen a different restaurant.

So far so good. Conch Chowder was hearty and a bowl was huge. Should have gotten the cup my wife got. Tuna salad my sister n law got was massive and she said delicious. My wife’s fahita salad looked like it could feed a family of 4. By brother in law got the RP burger. Looks like a truck tire. He said it tastes amazing. I’m waiting for my rack of ribs. 5:50 pm Saturday night. Line out the door waiting to come in. Luckily we got here about 5pm and got a seat. More after my ribs… Full rack just came. Looks huge. I got the last rack. Waitress said you can call ahead to reserve a rack for eat in or take out. They are slow cooked for 2 days… time to dig in. Full rack is 12 ribs plus cornbread, plus fries, plus coalslaw. Taste is amazing. So lean and tasty. Only get the full rack if you want to take some home, or if you bring a spare stomach or two. Staff is very friendly and kind. A great experience. Great food. Would come back in a heartbeat. Wanda is the best and says hello.

This cute and classy American diner is just a short walk from my office, perfect for lunch. It is really small and does have an odd shape but these details are incredibly endearing. Really cool posters of movies like Pulp Fiction and the Professional, stars like Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles and the Miami Heat players. The potato chips are crispy hot and delicious.

Granger’s is cozy restaurant with delicious comfort food. The walls are lined with posters and framed photos of Marilyn Monroe, Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Hendrix along several other icons. There is a wide range of coffee table books stacked in each window sill that are available for browsing. The staff was attentive and friendly. They do not serve cocktails, however wine and beer are available. I ordered the Beer Battered Onion Ring Stack that is served with two horseradish sauces. The onion rings are stacked on an iron airplane with the sauces on the side(smiles). The classic wedge is iceberg lettuce topped with bacon bits, diced onion and tomatoes, homemade blue cheese sauce and crumbles and a balsamic glaze. This was so fresh and yummy. Lastly, but not leastly is the Rocky’s Reuben which is corned beef brisket that is sliced thin and piled high topped with sour kraut, thousand island and swiss cheese on grilled rye bread. This sandwich is HUGE. It is so tasty and crafted with perfection. So good. Nom. Nom. Nom

Although they didn’t take reservations, our party of 9 had a great dinner here this past Saturday! I had called ahead and was warned that they didn’t take reservations, but I really wanted to dine at Granger’s. They ‘stacked the odds in my favor’ and ended up having 2 tables that they pushed together for us. The service was incredibly fast and the food was great! I am bummed that I didn’t take a picture of my glass of wine, as other Unilocalers noted, the pour was huge! I’m convinced it was the size of half the bottle! Several of my friends had the ribs special and said they were really good. I had the chicken ceasar sandwich and it was delicious! It is a very tiny place and I’m sure during season it is packed, but we lucked out and had a good time there last weekend!
