My qualm is not with my stylist (who was great — I believe her name was Sam) but rather with the owner who charged me $ 65 to have my hair curled. (Yes, just curled. Not washed — not blow dried — simply I walked in, sat down, and had my shoulder length hair curled. Not sprayed with gold or encrusted with diamonds. Curled). And this AFTER I was told the charge for this was $ 45 when I made the appointment with the front desk. I would not have booked an appointment to have my hair curled for $ 65 dollars, because I’m not fucking insane. Now however, I am justifiably ticked off and ranty. Here is my rant Internet friends, I hope you’re enjoying it and heed the warning. The $ 45 even sounded a bit much to me; I wasn’t having my hair styled in some elaborate fashion with pins for a wedding… Just. Curled. Women curl their own hair in about 10 — 25 minutes every day. I was treating myself for this special occasion. In any case, I was there in person when I made the appointment, and I observed with my own eyeballs the front desk staff confirm with someone of authority this pricing. I didn’t expect to get a discount of any kind because I wasn’t having my hair washed or blow dried; I know how things go… I fully expected however to walk up to the counter at the end and pay what I was told was the price to get my hair styled originally AND I NEVER IMAGINED IT WOULD END UP BEING HIGHER. I politely asked the desk staff to double check the pricing and informed her as to extent of the service, to no avail. In conclusion, I felt lied to and swindled.

The best! Joseph does a perfect cut and is a pleasure to visit with! I can only wish that I lived here all the time just for the haircut.
