The food was okay. But the waitress was very surly. Also, on the menu it states the sandwiches come either on pita bread or as a lettuce wrap, but after ordering it as a wrap and stating to the waitress that I my friend did not and could not eat any bread, she brought it in a pita. Bringing the mix up to the waitresses attention she said, «We only do pitas» and walked away. I asked a couple of other questions she half-assed answer each time while literally walking away. Just rude. We wanted to go back for belly dancing and I wanted to try the zucchini pancakes, but not sure we will do so now. :(

Great food, and even better service. I ordered the beyti kebap with bulgur pilav. Have a turkish tea after your meal.

Tried the sampler which was a good option to taste the different meze they offer. The hummus was very good as well as the eggplant. The lentil soup was a bit bland, but nothing a little lemon couldn’t fix. The entrees are very large and served with either rice or bulgur as well as pita bread. Prices aren’t cheap, but you do get a lot of food for your money. Lastly tried a new dessert, kanafeh or kunefe, which is a soft cheese layered between short, stringy noodles(frequently used any Middle Eastern desserts) topped with sugary syrup. It was good but very sweet, definitely not a dessert I could eat by myself. Lastly the Turkish coffee was nice and strong, perfect finish to the meal.

Decided to drop by for dinner at 5pm. Was a little disappointed with the service given there were only 3 tables. Tabuli was okay. Falafel did not have much flavor. Will try again just to see if my first impression was way off.

I been wanting to try this place for lunch, it’s near my office. The portion size is good. The quality seems good as well. However, there wasn’t much flavor. I had the chicken Kebob sandwich with rice. There should be an option for veggies with the sandwiches and platters. I don’t think I will bother again.

For a slow Thursday night: excellent, attentive service and tasty fresh food. Tried the felafel platter and lamb kebabs, just delicious. The babaganoush had the right amount of smokiness lacking in so many versions and the lamb was juicy and well seasoned. Dark Efes Turkish beer rounded out a delightful dinner. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Will be back.

Food was great, but the restaurant felt dirty… Ceiling tiles show that they had many leaks… They need to be replaced to improve the look of the restaurant. The brown ceiling tiles are the first thing you notice, and you wonder if as they neglect the tiles, how clean is the kitchen.

I had a wonderful dinner at the Kebob House recently. I had the beef kebob(filet mignon). It was cooked to perfection. The hummus and falafel are outstanding here as well. The ambiance inside the restaurant is very peaceful and cozy. The server was very pleasant and attentive.

My husband and I come here once a week. We love the lentil soup, hummus, falafel, and zucchini pancakes. It has been difficult(coming from NYC) finding a good Med spot. Everything is excellent, and the service is too. Ayhan is a great waiter and so is the rest of the staff.

I got take out a few weeks ago and have been meaning to write my review. I got the falafel platter and sampler platter. All of it was so flavorful! the portions were huge that is lasted me 3 nights for dinner! Yes, the place was empty, but I am never one to judge a restaurant on how filled it is. I have been to many restaurants on the ave where they are packed but the service and food sucks. so, don’t let that deter you. I’ll be back to try other dishes!

Came up to Delray July 4th weekend so the kid could have some Grandma time at the movies. As the Kebob House is next door to the Regal theater, it was a perfect lunch spot. We looked at the menu on the window before even going into the theater(before they were even open) and saw«Kid’s Menu» items, so we were sold. 3 ½ starts… here is the breakdown: PROS — Though the waitress was extremely nice, ordering seemed to confuse her, nonetheless she got the order right, and apps were hitting the table in under 7 minutes — The Lahmahjun were, in a word, TASTY — The chicken was beyond«really good»(wife and mom had chicken dishes and I couldn’t believe how juicy and well seasoned they were) CONS — With only four 4-tops seated at the time of our arrival, it somehow took 10 minutes to get our order in — The lunch menu didn’t have the«Kid’s Menu» items shown on the window menu. The waitress«checked» and said she could do chicken nuggets for our 4-yr-old, ANDTHENCHARGEDUS $ 10FORTHEM(I should have argued, however the portion was ridiculously large, but we are pretty sure it was only $ 5.99 on the dinner menu, this is the main reason for the ½ star loss) It was a bit pricey for«Lunch with Grandma», but we’d easily go back. Food was that good ;)

Came here for lunch on a Sunday with my mom and this place was totally empty. I’m not sure how they stay in business. Or maybe they were empty because it was Superbowl Sunday. Maybe that’s it. The food was kind of blah. The best thing was the hummus appetizer. It was excellent, and freshly made, with a drizzle of olive oil on top. They have a pretty good selection of menu items for vegetarians, including falafel and babganoush. We ordered the chicken kebob with grilled veggies and the grilled vegetable kebob with bulgur. Both came with a salad. The chicken was tasty, the veggies were under seasoned and somewhat dry, and the bulgur was pretty tasteless. I heard their lamb kebobs are pretty good but I’m not sure if I’ll return at this point. But I will say that if you’re looking to eat somewhat healthy fare, it’s not hard to do at this restaurant.

One of those true hidden gems tucked away in The Plaza Delray. If you are looking for a different taste sensation than the typical pretentious downtown delray eateries then this Turkish restaurant should be on your list to hunt out. It’s a small place with not many tables and chairs it maybe seats 50 comfortably. When the place is packed like last night it can be a bit cozy but not over whelming. But we were able to get seated right away. It definitely seems on the locals radar but is still a little secret place to me. After eating there for the first time last night I surely know we will be back! We were lucky enough to walk in and grab one of the last open tables. They have a decent wine selection, but the beer list was lacking so we just opted for water and ice tea. We looked over the menu and saw a great selection and really good prices. We decided on an appetizer even though we didn’t need 1 since the pita bread comes with the meal and the entrees came with a salad so there was plenty of food, By the end we felt like bloated whales and rolled out of there. First, the basket of warm pita bread they put on the table was good but would have liked something to dip it in. Then, the Lahmahjun was so good, it had great flavor and was seasoned perfectly. The dough very soft I could have ate 2 of these. The, House Salad was just an average salad, chunks of tomato, cucumbers, green peppers and onions in a olive oil and lemon juice dressing. Last, the Mixed Shish Kebob was served up in huge moist juicy marinated cubes of Beef and Lamb. Grilled tomato, hot pepper, and fluffy rice pilaf came with it. You can’t go wrong here. Delicious food and reasonable prices in a warm and inviting simple atmosphere. You feel as if you are eating in a Turkish family’s dining room with grandma cooking in the kitchen. I’d like keep this cozy little spot to myself but after reading the mixed reviews I had to give it a 5 star and really explain how good it really is because I do not wan’t it to close anytime soon.

Stopped in after some sushi for some dessert. Split the baklava dessert with a friend. Having not had baklava before, I don’t really have something to compare it to. It’s served in a syrup base and layered. I’ll have to come in next time and sample the rest of their menu.

I and my coworkers really like this place. Two of us come here at least once a week to get their truly amazing salads! Seriously! Best salads EVER! Gorgeous, fresh, huge, filled with feta, romaine, cucumbers, olives, olive oil, lemon juice, stuffed grape leaves… and topped with your choice of juicy oven roasted chicken or salmon. We CRAVE these salads, devour them entirely, and feel absolutely awesome after! The only other places that has salads that good is either my kitchen, or the Mellow Mushroom. A bit of a warning — the servers can be abrupt. But they are good servers. Personally, I’d rather have efficiency than phony friendly. But as we’ve been faithful customers for over a year now, they know us, and treat us great. Also, things can get hairy when people in a multiple party try to pay separately with credit cards. So, ask for separate tabs ahead of time, or bring cash. Other things we like — the hummus, tabouli, falafel, babaganoush, and the amazing Turkish espresso. I happen to like dark, strong coffee that has bits of coffee bean still in it. The place is immaculate, they play cool music, the food ROCKS, and they are pets and GBLT friendly, according to their website( ). They are also Turkish. Give this place a try, more than once. The food is fantastic.(BTW, it’s located in the Publix mall, right near that shoe store on the Marshalls side.)
