One of our favorites in downtown Delray. Excellent food, service and atmosphere with a really well priced and comprehensive wine list or great cocktails if you prefer. We had two kids 10 or under with us and they were very accommodating. Excellent all around.

Absolutely love this place. Been here time and time again. Great place to go. And with a constantly changing menu, there is always something new that I haven’t tried. Plus great local beers and great wine selection. Wait stuff is awesome.

Just celebrated a bday and wanted somewhere local where my friends and I could get together and enjoy a casual but nice evening. Tryst is a fun, trendy but still casual spot so we decided to celebrate here. From making the reservation, confirming and having everything set for a party of 9, Tryst definitely made it a great evening! Kaden(sp?) our server was friendly and accommodating. Made sure anything we needed, it was promptly served and that we were having a fun time. Unfortunately there was just one mishap with some food times a friend and myself were sharing which came out really late however, Kaden quickly spoke with the manager and comped the items as an apology. Was a pleasant surprise! Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. Though our food was just as good, the mac and cheese and ribs were a bit salty. Thankfully had some nice, red wine and my friend ordered a muddled strawberry and vodka drink that was devine so everyone couldn’t have been more content and happy with our experience here. Thank you for making my bday celebration a success!

Good breakfast. Outdoor section is very cool. Good food. Usually has a one person singer/guitarist that is passable.

By far, Tryst has one of the best happy hours I have seen. When you go into an establishment where everything behind the bar — outside of Pappy Van Winkle — is half off, you know you’re going to have a good time. They have a great array of whiskeys, tequilas, gins, aperitifs, cordials, and more. Additionally on Tuesdays, they have 40% off all bottles of wine. Their Angry Pig Sliders are awesome. Definitely a great thing to nosh on when you’re knocking back some glasses of bourbon. This combined with their rich, European-styled bar area makes Tryst a winner, and one of the places to go in Delray and PBC overall.

The food was excellent and that’s the most important part of a restaurant review. We had burgers. The Mac and cheese appetizer is meal size so be sure your sharing with someone.(Yummy) I made my reservation on Unilocal(easy) and the restaurant called to confirm. I didn’t realize that I had to ask for an inside table.(I’m from jersey) They tried to accommodate us.(3 in our party) but it was an hour wait so we ate at the bar. The hostess was very aplolgetic and did her best to make us happy. Bartender makes better drink mixer than waitress. i would definitely go back but next time confirm the location of my table.

This place is trendy and definitely a hotspot in Delray. I’ve been here a couple of times for afterwork drinks with friends, appetizers and even a work function outside. The outside seating area is wonderful. I love the lighting setup, the amazing artwork and style and you really feel like you’re enjoying the beautiful Florida nights while sipping on some yummy drinks. The staff is attentive, nice and prompt. The only one complaint I have is that their apps are a little«out there» in terms of not having any go-to apps that you can recognize right off the bat. Their apps are good but definitely a little TOO eclectic I’d say. I think it would be great to go for happy hour if there were a few apps that were more easily recognizable. I know one time, we ended up going down the street because none of them looked like something we were interested in since they’re all a fusion of a few things and some of the ingredients we may have liked, while others we weren’t fans of as it was too out there. Another time, I did try the Mahi tacos because I love fish tacos and I wasn’t a fan. The brie was amazing however. Other than that, this is a great place to grab drinks with friends. I haven’t had any of their full meals yet so I can’t speak for that but lovely place to go after work or any evening!

Great spot for brunch. Friendly staff, delicious fish tacos and location perfect for their nature outdoor eating and people watching on Atlantic. Parking maybe an issue so arrive early!

A nice location and physical space. However, they had a DJ and a saxophone player on this particular afternoon, and together they expelled quite the noise. Agreeable, but way too loud. We asked someone if they could turn down the outside speakers, but the person said they would have to turn it all down, making us feel guilty. They turned it down a smidge. Eventually, a braver soul at the table next to us got up and just shut the door. Much better. Other than that, our server was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered eggs, homefries and toast(my usual breakfast, it would seem). It was decent, but nothing spectacular.

The atmosphere here is pretty cool, and the food was good. Ordered the scallops from the«large plates» portion of the menu and paid $ 20.00 for 3 medium sized scallops. It was more like an appetizer than an entrée. The flavor was there though. Just ridiculously over priced for the portion size. I almost ordered the clams off the appetizer menu, and can only imagine you may get a few of those bad boys on a plate. Cocktails were small. Stick to beer and wine here.

Ate at Tryst for dinner again about a week ago. Companion had the greek salad($ 8) — excellent salad dressing. Fish Tacos($ 15) were once again excellent. Companion had duck special($ 32) and was pleased. They were serving Bell’s Winter Wheat(in a can) among other beers. $ 8. Still take Discover CC.

You’re pretty much guaranteed to like this place. You may even love it. It may become your favorite restaurant. It’s really that good. A huge bonus that we learned after admiring the menu is that this place uses the locavore/local food sourcing philosophy also known as farm-to-table, where they try to use the freshest produce and meats etc. by getting it from local growers and farmers — when they’re not merely growing their own seasonings in their own garden. A wide variety of dishes is featured, including some ethnic cuisines. Vegetables were a huge standout for my table of four: we had brussels sprouts, pickled vegetables, green beans, and smashed red potatoes shared amongst us, and we raved about them all. None were overcooked or overseasoned; each dish retained the flavors and textures of the respective veggies, including in our Pad Thai with additional non-traditional add-ins. Highly recommended. Our staff encounters were all wonderful. They were very young but polite and worked well as a team. Very friendly, very accommodating. Very sincere. Clearly they like where they work, and they’re exposed to the whole menu so they know it well(and delight in it). Some of the items on the menu, such as the daily specials, can be a bit pricey(see $$$ not $$), but there is no doubt that you’re going to taste something special. Desserts were outstanding too. Make sure to leave room.

Decided to pop in Sat night after the Unilocalies and had the best service from Ted at the bar. I had tried Tryst for the first time last year for brunch. And honestly I wasn’t very impressed with the dish I had. So when my fiancé Andrew wanted to go for dinner and there was a 2 hour wait for a table.. I was not very excited about going. Luckily we found some seats at the bar. Previous reviews mentioned a pricey menu, but I feel that for the quality of food you get that the prices aren’t too bad. What I did find a little on the pricey side though was the beers. Don’t get me wrong, as an avid beer drinker and lover of stouts; Tryst has a pretty impressive list of beers available. Just felt that some of the pricing was high. FOOD/DRINKS A menu that utilizes local farm fresh ingredients. You can tell that Chef John Thomas put some thought in each dish. Honestly everything that we tried was pretty darn tasty. Below are the dishes we tried. Soft DK– Evil Twin Brewing(10.4% ABV) aka Soft Dookie… always makes me LOL ***An American Double Imperial Stout, very dark in color. poured like motor oil. but very light in body. It didn’t drink like it poured which was very surprising. Got better as it warmed up, brought out the roasty malts with hints of vanilla. «Angry Pig» Sliders Sicilian Pulled Pork, Orange Marmalade, Pickled Fresno Chilies, Fennel Slaw, Basil ***$ 4 for one slider, I have to admit that I felt it was worth every penny. The combination of all of the components explodes in your mouth, waking up all of your taste buds. Not one ingredient fighting each other or overpowering. Served in a soft bun the slider was sweet… spicy … overall amazing!*** Chinese Pork Ribs hoisin BBQ sauce, toasted sesame & chopped cilantro ***the ribs were fall off the bone deliciousness! Don’t think I really have to say anything else.*** Roasted Bone Marrow Wood fired onion jam, watercress chimichurri, ciabatta ***probably my least favorite of all the dishes we tried. It was a little on the salty and vinegary side. Was kind of hoping for a little sweetness to break up the vinegar flavor. The chimichurri on the watercress was good.*** IPA Steamed Florida Clams Housemade chorizo, serrano chile, basil, orange, blistered grape tomatoes & ciabatta ***like no other steam Clams that I’ve had. Most steam clams that I’ve had before have been cooked in a white wine sauce with garlic. I found the broth delicious and had an interesting flavor with the housemade chorizo present in the dish. Broth had a nice kick to it from the chile, I could’ve drank it. Wake and Bake ice cream Housemade ice cream using the Terrapin Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout beer, Wake-n-Bake. ***this ice cream had me at wake-n-bake. made by one of my favorite breweries. We told Ted that we enjoyed stouts and porters, he was nice enough to give us some of the housemade ice cream. It was absolutely delicious! The perfect end to our night. SERVICE As I mentioned earlier in my review, Ted was helping us this evening and gave us the best service. As busy as the restaurant was, he was nice enough to talk to us about the menu. .restaurant. .and beer! He was super informative and even let the GM Bryan know about us and that it was our first time visiting. So even Bryan stopped by to say hi and see how everything was. Solid 4.5 stars: Excellent service from the staff that evening, the food came out pretty quickly, and everything was delicious. We would definitely come back and I highly recommend checking out Tryst.

I will definitely come back to Tryst! Overall great experience. Service was super friendly and on point. Ambiance is a perfect mix of modern, rustic and beach town. Food was delicious. Tuna Poke app was incredible. Wife got the scallops and I got the mahi entrée. The entrée portions were a little small. The mahi was cooked perfect and tasted very fresh. The horseradish bacon mashed potatoes were delicious. Oh, the beer selection is also really good! Look forward to bringing friends next time.

First time visit, we were a large group and most of us are or have been in the hospitality industry. We are aware of the different timing scenarios. But nothing can justify the basic steps of service. Our soft drinks were never refilled, alcoholic drinks were just 1(service was not around to ask for seconds), food tasted like it was sitting on the window for a bit(chicken was dry)… The overall service was just not there. French toast in brunch menu was delicious! Beautiful location just wish service was present.

Tryst recently changed their menu and I changed my review to 5 stars. We had the chicken chop and Mahi Mofungo. Both dishes were so amazing I had to change my review. 10÷23÷15 I visited tryst again. The side dishes that accompany the chicken chop have changed but it’s still great. The charcuterie board was really good and just enough for two people. The shishito peppers were amazing! They are really spicy if you eat the entire pepper including the seeds. But if you eat just the tips you can avoid the seeds. Last night our waitress was Hayden she was a rockstar-quick, polite, helpful with recommendations and didn’t rush us. Their brunch is good. I don’t like how they pre-mix the mimosas but I guess that’s the only way they can afford all you can drink. I would recommend making a reservation and if the weather is cool sit outside.

Fabulous in every way. Great restaurant and bar atmosphere. Bar is long. Restaurant has different tables and chairs throughout. Plenty of room to move around too. They also have outside dining. Pros: food amazing, get anything with arugula, bar inviting, great Atlantic Ave location, bacon on anything here good and great desserts. Cons: there isn’t one closer to me. Probably the best thing you can do here is order anything with arugula or bacon as they pride themselves on just how special this two ingredients are for them and they Source from two very special Places. Dessert is also a requirement. As in bread pudding with rum sauce.

Outstanding service effort during a super crazy hustle time. The crew went way over the top to accommodate our group. Not only did they work a miracle but did it with a smile. More to write after the meal but this place is clearly a winner.
