Even through life’s stressful situations, I always hunger for something that is well prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, I normally don’t have the time or the finances to create or dine in some area for good tasting food. Bagel king has changed that around for me. The staff is amazingly polite and attentive to what you want or need. They are also patient as you decide because there are a lot of choices available for you to choose from, so you always have variety. The bagels, are incredible. They are always hot, always prepared well, and always made considerably to what you request. The price, is also very reasonable. A normal bagel with an ice coffee, my signature choice, is under 6 dollars. Only 6 bucks for delicious bagels! And it is extremely filling. They last you until lunch or even later! I will always come back here for breakfast when I get the time to. They have definitely earned a returning customer. :)

Updated… still the BEST bagels in the area. Will always drive to this location over the closer one in Lake Mary.

Consistently amazing food for the past 14 years I’ve been going there. Best damn bagels in the area. Their coffee could use an upgrade.

Busy and very good, there is nothing like a classic boiled baked bagel. Menu is great, service is very good, a must stop when looking for an original.

–This is the mama bear of Bagel Kings. It’s not quite as big as the Casselberry location, and the menu is scaled down, so no Frank’s, King’s, or Odd Morning After. But it’s also not as dinky as the Debary location which is just for to-go orders. You can get an egg and cheese or bagel and schmeer and sit down to eat it. — I was told they expanded 2 years ago, added more tables. When I went a few years back they accepted cash and checks. Now they are able to accept credit cards, how very 20th century of them! Oh, but not American Express. –Ordered a French vanilla iced coffee. You know those cappuccino machines at Quik-E-Marts? That’s what this was, only cold. Don’t get me wrong, I love that crap-o-chino, but I wanted iced coffee. Maybe if I had given it time for the ice to melt it would have been palatable, but I just drank the coffee syrup. –This location doesn’t seem to go as crazy with the cream cheese as the Casselberry location, where I often have to scrape more than half the cream cheese off my bagel. And this makes me extra sad because I like it when the cream cheese gets all warm and melty and the bagel is chewy and crunchy.

I really love Bagel King. I always try to go there when I’m visiting Deltona from my home in Georgia. It’s an excellent local alternative to the typical Deltona chain restaurant bullshit. Their bagels are *authentic* NY style bagels, and I always grab a bag to take back home to Georgia(where you can’t really find that sort of thing). Sigh…wish I could go there right now…

Service was abysmally slow, but the Bacon, Egg & Cheese bagel held up pretty well. The Everything bagel had some great chuncks of sea salt, and generous amount of real eggs too. Coffee was watery, and my companions threw out their iced coffee, which was ‘more like sweet milk’ than coffee.

This is quite the mom n pop shop of bagel places. I’ve been in some stores where you feel like there are far too many rules… you know what you want, you speak your order, hold out money, take change, walk to the right. Not this place. People are friendly and FAST. Bagels are fresh and delicious and the value is really great. I’d much rather get bagels here than a larger chain. Plus their dozen is 13 not 12, who doesn’t love an extra bagel! Get blueberry, they’re the best!

REVISED — This place used to have great bagels. Unfortunately, I bought a dozen last week and they are NOT what they used to be. No chewiness whatsoever — they must have stopped boiling them, or switched to steaming. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I will leave my original review below. – Original – It’s hard to find really good bagels in Orlando. Real NY bagels are boiled before they are baked, which develops the chewy goodness. Most bakeries in Florida skip this step to save time and effort, and produce something resembling a bagel but missing the special consistency that makes a bagel more than just baked dough. Bagel King is the only remaining bakery in the Orlando area that I have found that still boils their bagels. These are the best bagels around — try one and you’ll taste the difference!

Awesome Bagels! I like to get the turkey on a biali with a knish. good for deltona. Its not super fancy inside. just like an old school pizza joint type of deco. no fancy chairs. But the food is really good. And the service is great.

So glad to learn about this location of Bagel King. We ate at the one in Casselberry a lot when we lived on that side of town. I am pleased to report the same delicious quality of bagels and baked goods at the Deltona location. The salt bagel is my favorite with light cc and tomato slices. The potato knish is another of my regular items. Both were excellent. So good, in fact, I got some to go for the next morning.

Okay, so I really didn’t go here — but every Friday at our office someone brings in ‘Breakfast’ for us to share. Oftentimes, it’s the typical Bagels or Donuts … but yesterday was phenomenal! Although our office is in Maitland, and these were bought in Deltona: THEYWERESOWARM&SOFT! The Garlics were literally showered in flakes of real garlic, their ‘Everything’s were warm & soft — yet with a crunchy exterior! Again: although I was only able to taste the spreads brought in, and not sure of all menu items, their lox & creamcheese was AMAZING. The regular creamcheese actually tasted like REAL Creamcheese… Needless to say, I’ll be looking forward to her next turn to bring in breakfast! :-) Oh, and by the way — I brought home 2 bagels, left them on the counter, and they were still good this morning! Bagel King… you Rule!
