DUMPOLA. Nuff said. I suspect each unit is individually owned. That would explain the pictures of unknown children in room. The unit needs serious updating but I suspect it is up to the owners to do so. It seems clean enough but the furniture, the fixtures, the windows, the bathroom, etc., etc. need updating. This is room #20. Maybe some of the other rooms are better but be aware…

We had an amazing stay over Labor Day weekend! Not only did we stay at the resort, but we had our wedding here. The staff at the hotel are nice, friendly, and very accommodating! The view from all of the rooms is breathtaking. The pool is clean and a bonus to have when you have the ocean so close. We have heard from all of our guests what a great time they had and want to come back to the Pelham House for a reunion soon! We couldn’t ask for a better wedding venue and would highly recommend to others! This is a great alternative to the very high end wedding venues that can be stuffy. We were looking for cape cod at its finest with a laid back feel and we found it here!

All about the ocean. If it’s the sea you desire this is the place. Not the fanciest of places. But who needs that when you are on the ocean. Loved it. Will return!

Recently spent 4 days and 3 nights here after finding a good deal on for under $ 100 per night. This place is not a resort but rather and upscale motel. It had its fair share of pros and cons: Pros: –Location, location, location. the hotel is located directly on the Nantucket Sound, you only need to walk down a set of stairs to their own private beach –The hotel is very clean –Complimentary breakfast every morning 8−10am Cons: — No air conditioning in the rooms — Wifi is a myth here — The main office is a ghost town and locked after 8pm so late arrivers beware All in all I was satisfied with my stay and would return again so long as the price remains reasonable. The location is the key factor here being so close to the beach as well has having access to all the other major mid-cape towns along route 28.

It’s true that this place should not be called a resort. But it’s a fabulous place to vacation as long as you know what you’re getting. I have been coming here for years with friend and family of all ages and everyone loves it. The hotel is in a U shape right on the ocean. True there is no A/C but every room has an ocean view and a deck. If you open your deck door and windows even in the heat of summer it is always cool and comfortable. The pool is clean and beautiful and RIGHT on the ocean. We have never found a pool so close to the ocean on the cape, it’s really a special spot. Management is off site after about 8pm but available by phone. We always check in after 9pm and we have never had a problem. I have always been able to access the wireless Internet from the rooms. The rooms themselves are clean but not fancy. There is a bar sink, fridge, and microwave in each one so we make lunch there and can get more beach time. The beach is just down a set of stairs. All in all a very fun vacation spot!

My girlfriend and I booked a room at the Pelham house for our anniversary. We had an absolutely abysmal time. I don’t even know where to start. Well, for 250 $ a night, and classifying themselves as a «resort», the rooms don’t even have air conditioning. We asked to have champagne flutes sent to our room for a bottle of champagne, and they informed us that none were available. Instead, we received plastic cups. Not because they were out of them, but because they just don’t have them. We were locked out of our room at night and there was no concierge or security. I was about to try and break in when our neighbors came out and let me use their phone to call hotel management. It took about 30 min for someone to drive to the hotel to let us back in. So, no one was actually on site that particular evening. They advertise wireless internet in the rooms, but there really isn’t any. They do have wireless internet, but you seem to only get it in the lobby. The advertise golf facilities, but it is really a worn down putting green. I suppose it is equal to an old mini golf facility that hasn’t been updated or cleaned in a long time. The owner was, of course, VERY hard to get in touch with about all of this. We was never around, or «out of town». This place nearly ruined our anniversary. We were so let down that we decided to stay a couple more days on the cape to make up for it. So, we bought some camping gear and went camping the next day. My girlfriend commented that the camp grounds toilet paper was softer than the Pelham House’s. LoL, that just about summed it up for me. Save yourself a lot of money and frustration by avoiding this place. There are many other reviews on Trip Adviser saying the same stuff that I did.
