Recently stayed at the Kingfisher with my boyfriend and dog and we had a great experience! Len(the owner) went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our visit. The room was clean, cool and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My girlfriend and I stay here when we come to town on business. Bringing our dog is a huge plus. The pool area is clean and relaxing and the grill is awesome! Rooms have just been renovated and it’s a huge improvement. For this style of motel, the Kingfisher is a solid choice. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating but doesn’t stare over your shoulder. You feel free to enjoy yourself, whether business or pleasure. Would definitely come back.

A great motel for the price. First, all the rooms have been renovated this past summer-they are bright, fresh, and clean with hardwood floors and very comfortable beds and brand new bedding. Flat screen TVs, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, free parking and a pool. Dog-friendly, which is awesome if you want to bring your pup with you on vacation! Things have changed since the previous reviewer visited. The owner no longer allows his dogs in the pool-in fact, no dogs are in the pool. The owner is extremely friendly and eager to meet and chat with his guests. I do not consider that eccentric-it is welcoming. Coffee available in the morning. I stayed for 4 nights in July and I will definitely plan to visit again.

This is a little motel in Dennis. It’s main attraction is that it is pet friendly, thus many people staying there have their dogs with them. The owner runs the place, and does everything himself. He nearly screwed up my reservation, but since I had double-checked before I drove down, I was OK. He’s a bit… OFF. He has 3 big Labrador retrievers that were in the gated pool area when I arrived. The dogs are allowed to swim. So — the nice little pool is really more for dogs than humans… My sister has a dog so that’s why we all stayed there. It was $ 120 a night, which is a ripoff for a place like that. But, when you’re in the Cape on Labor Day weekend, that’s what you get. The rooms are… well, they’re OK. No phones, not that you need one. Small TV in one corner, tiny fridge there too. Bathrooms were clean but old. Beds were firm but we slept well. At least we had AC. The main draw of the place is that it allows dogs. If you’ve got one, you’ll be OK here. Otherwise I’d never recommend it.
