This is the best food. I love the breakfast and lunch. Staff is friendly. They have WONDERFUL sweets too. Try it. Check out the smoothies and aloe bottled water.

We had really great fried cod and a top notch lobster roll. We really didn’t care for the coated fries. We had soft serve ice cream dipped cone and a root beer float, that transported us back to childhood. We would definitely stop here again! We could se where parking on a busy day could be a nightmare, but off-season was no problem.

Went today, September 6, 2015 after Mayflower Beach. Didn’t go in, only to the ice cream window at the front of the building. In the past, I have eaten inside, and the food(specifically clams) have ALWAYS been great, and they bring it to you after you order, which I liked. But for the ice cream counter today, the staff were friendly and made everything I ordered correctly, yet the prices were a bit high, and they only have soft-serve. They do have Froxen Yogurt and ’Flurrys’, as well. Definitely stop by this legendary Dennis spot, on Main Street. 5 stars **-1 star, for small(actually large) problem. Parking seems to be a HUGE issue here, its like bumper cars getting in and out and there wasn’t ONE spot open. And all around the exits and across the street were«NO Parking or Standing» Signs. Still love the place, but might be the best idea to go on off hours, and not weekends.**

Stopped for lunch after an overcast day and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Fresh tasty seafood with great prices! I got a crab salad roll for $ 9.50 that came with fries, clam cakes, and slaw! Had half leftover. Chowder was decent and tried my boyfriend’s oyster po’ boy w/spicy mayo and banana pepperswill be back again soon!

Good casual seafood shack /ice cream stand. Be on the look out for fresh catches of the day specials. Also you must try the frappé and save room for desert. A true cape code nostalgic experience.

The clam fritters were out of this world! I got the crab salad roll for my main course. It was good, but I wish I had ordered the lobster rook which looked amazing. The milkshakes were thick, creamy, and sweet. I cannot wait to go back to Captain Frosty’s!

OMG I cant believe my last review is from 7 years ago… crazy! This is the first time in many years we’ve spent an extended bit of time on the Cape in summer. Capt. Frosty’s is still a good pick on the way home from Dennis beaches for us. The one thing it will always hold over the rest is that they keep making those clamcakes. Someone please tell me if there’s another option since Pinto’s Clam Box is no longer. These dough-balls of batter and bits of clam will always be something I crave. The ones on top seemed much hotter than the ones underneath, but they were all pretty darn good. I haven’t had any of their other menu items in way too long to comment, but the clam cakes will keep me coming back every now and then.

I had an absolutely delicious dinner of Fish &(Clam) Strips here tonight. The fish was cooked perfectly, the clam strips(which I prefer to whole-bellied clams) were not overcooked so they were crisp but not chewy. Top that off with french fries, a pair of clam cakes(I worked at Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI for two years, so I know a good clam cake) that were top notch and some tasty slaw and you have a really yummy hot night on Cape Cod dinner. Side note… Regulars from the past few seasons may remember a particularly officious girl on the counter who always seemed to be distressed to be there. well she apparently is gone. The service was friendly and efficient.

You can not go wrong with this place. This is always our go to place after going to Mayflower beach for the day. It is a great value for the money and not as expensive as other fried seafood joints. I had the whole belly clams, a side of onion rings. My wife had the crab roll. The clams were cooked perfectly, and not heavy on the batter. The onion rings were the exact opposite, and in my opinion were delicious but could have had a lighter batter. My wife liked the crab roll but says that it could have used a little more mayo.

this place was just what the doctor ordered. Tasty lobster roll full of chunks and claw meat, some of the best chowdah I’ve ever had. the clam hush puppies were just OK, very doughy. the price was right at thirteen dollars for lobstah roll… delish

HAD to have a lobster roll on my visit to Cape Cod. This place hit the spot. First, you walk in and order at the counter. The person working at the register gives you a number. Find yourself a seat. Make sure to put the number on your table so they can find you. They bring your order right to your table. Voila! I couldn’t wait to have a lobster roll. From pictures, I was worried that the lobster roll would have too much mayo. It did not. Just enough to hold it together. Loaded with lobster meat and one piece of lettuce. Delicious. AND not expensive. Lobster roll(alone, no platter) was only about $ 13. It was filling enough and did not need the clam cakes and fries that come with a platter. If you’re hungry then go for it! Clam Cake — weird hush puppy type thing with one small remnant of a clam. When eaten with the tartar sauce it was okay but wasn’t my jam. Ice cream shack is on the outside area! So you can eat then walk over for dessert.

Wanted to try something new… having been a resident in the summer for 44 years we tend to just go to the same places… yesterday we wanted to try another place… my daughter(12) had her usual Chicken and Fries… and I had a scallop roll… she got 6 large chicken strips and fries $ 6.95 and I got 8 medium scallops on a roll…12.95! Her chicken was delish however my scallops had no flavor at all and there were no fries with it? The servers were rude and clueless when I asked if they served a hot lobster roll you would have thought I was asking for all the money in the register… place had decent pricing but not for what we got!

I didn’t grow up spending summers on the Cape, but this is what I imagine in my head when they talk of fish fry shacks. We go here at least twice a season and once or twice again off season before they close for winter. I am not sure fried fish gets any better. Lightly battered delivered to your table piping hot. Their lobster roll is good, but not great. Just knuckle and claw meat, but a good portion and dressed with just enough mayo to hold it together. Comes with two clam cakes — yum! I see people with burgers and I scratch my head, thinking why? But hey, to each his own. Tip, parking sucks(consider the lot across the street) and table space is limited. Tables do turn quickly but, sharpen your elbows because everyone knows to send one person to hunt a table while everyone else orders.

We were on a back roads jaunt across the Cape yesterday and stumbled upon Captain Frosty’s. It was well after lunchtime and we snagged the last available parking spot(always a good sign). We had our dog with us and were glad to see that they have outdoor seating. One of the staff members let us know that it was okay for our dog to sit with us in the outdoor dining area.(Major win when a restaurant is dog-friendly — THANKYOU!) I ordered the lobster roll plate and my husband got the fried fish and clam strips plate. Both plates were delicious and perfectly prepared. The fries were fantastic as well. Service was fast — you order at the counter and someone will bring it out to you in literally a few minutes. Overall, a great find. I can only imagine that this place must have a line out the door during the summer. We’ll definitely be back!

Frostee’s is a must visit fish n chips/fried seafood shack on the cape. I had the fish n chips which was perfectly fried with super fresh, tender cod. Service is friendly and quick. It’s also pleasant to sit in the restaurant on a nice day and enjoy the Cape Cod air. Also don’t forget to get some soft serve for dessert.

Really fresh fish. Not too great in terms of flavoring anything, but with seafood that fresh, you don’t really need to add much. The real kicker for me here was the fried clams I had in my lobster platter. They’re delicious balls of fried dough with clams inside. If I go there again, I’d definitely get a whole lot of those. As for the place itself, it’s small and unassuming which is nice. They have some indoor and outdoor seating and an ice cream place is attached for dessert! Didn’t try the ice cream but there sure were a lot of people in line, which is a good sign. Overall, a great place for fast seafood.

Oh man… if you come here and order not only the fish and chips but any of their fried seafood, you will NOT be disappointed! Their batter is just the right ratio of crisp and taste, but lacks any of the grease, which is great! Nothing worse than having to take napkins to your fried dish and then squeeze out all the grease, blech! Portions are pretty darn good here, so if you’re going to eat an entrée, you’ll barely have any room for their desserts line right next to the restaurant, because with all the salt you ate, all you really want is a big ol’ ice cream cone to balance it all off!!!

YUMYUM! I was on my typical lobster roll quest and having been thwarted from my favorite spot, I had to make do with another(horrors!). Luckily, Captain Frosty’s came to the rescue. I of course ordered the lobster roll and also shared some of the clam chowder. Both were delicious. The roll was perfectly toasted and the lobster was fresh, a generous portion and totally delicious. It had little mayo or other fillings and the lobster was able to speak for itself. The clam chowder was quite good, very creamy, but could have had a smidge more clam(but that could be the ladle’s fault or my sister’s as she took some huge bites!). The spot is super cute, service is very friendly and quick and the bathrooms, seemingly sketchy as they are outside were really clean and nice! Cute outdoor area as well. Oh — and don’t forget to have some ice cream covered in sprinkles! I couldn’t resist and I’m thrilled that I insisted upon having some.

I’m glad there wasn’t a line when I got in line, because a line formed after I got there and looked super long. Although, it would’ve been worth it to stand in line — the food was just that good. You order at the counter, get a number and find your own table and the food is delivered to you. Everything we got was delicious and our friends enjoyed their food as well. Try the coffee soft serve from the window out front on your way out, great tasty treat!
