I’m a New York Italian. I’m hard to impress to begin with. But this place is the best authentic Italian restaurant on Cape Cod. The eggplant rollatini was perfect and the staff was wonderful. You can’t put a price on excellence. Mangia!

Came in for dinner last week and had an amazing experience. The food and service was great all around. Unfortunately our time was slightly tainted by the very rude host. He was impersonal and frankly seemed to carry that over to the other waitstaff. Made us feel slightly uncomfortable. Would deffinetly return again hopefully without the host there and I feel the energy of this establishment would improve immensely.

Good service. Food was excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. Will be going back! Also my wife says the best coffee we’ve had on CC. Price was appropriate. Portions were big. No room for dessert

This restaurant practices deceptive advertising. We went there after seeing their ad in a Cape Cinema flyer for a $ 25 Prix Fix Menu. When we arrived we were told the special was only before 5:30 pm. This was not mentioned in the ad. That being said, the service was very good but the food was just fair. We probably will not return.

I am kind of confused by the reviews. Went last night with friends. Will be brief my wife and one of friends ordered oysters Rockefeller and they were great! Unfortunately that was where great ended. Had veal saltimbocca which was small and bland, my wife eggplant rollatini, bland, our friends had shrimp scampi bland and seafood fra diavlo which was scorching. Asked for some butter for bread it tasted like it had sat in fridge for months. Tiramisu for $ 6 was small and bland. The service also was okay, not sure if our waiter ever was trained. Obviously these other reviewers have not been to the North End or Providence for really good Italian restaurants Better choice would have been DiParma. Oh the bread. bland too!

Been here many times and have asked for some concessions understand that they can’t accommodate on a busy night but on a very light night brought kids well behaved kind and asked for concession on 25 dollar prix fixed since they can’t drink wine and nothing so ended up paying the full price with lemonade coukdnt substitute the dessert? Nope not allowed

We live on the cape in the summer and this is one of our favorite restaurants. Every meal is delicious, every time. We can always depend on having an exceptional experience. The service is quick and they take reservations. Some standouts: grilled salmon, veal saltimbucca, chicken and lobster dish, beet salad, and the cherrystone app.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. From the appetizer(mussels) to the main dish(veal saltimbocca) then the home made(cannoli). I don’t typically write a review until I go to a place several times and I have eaten at Pecorino’s 5 times in the last 3 months. Would love it if they got a bottle of Grappa in the shelf.

Looking for that small intimate setting with excellent service and fantastic food? Try Pecorino Romano with its Tuscan flare. Lots of places have good Osso Bucco but Pecorino Romano offers a unique twist by offering 2 large Lamb shanks in its Lamb Osso Bucco. It is truly an amazing dish that has not yet been copied by others! Additionally their seafood is exceptional with their house special Fruta de pescatore loaded with lobster, clams, shrimp, scollops, and calamari served over home-made linguini… Fantastic! We often enjoy a glass of Chianti or drinks with friends. This is truly an exceptional find for great itilian food on Cape Cod. They also offer a Price Fix option with full menu portions most days.

Disappointed with my dinner last night. Ordered veal piccata. Very little. Veal and lobster. Lots of angel hair pasta. Eggplant appetizer came warm. Waitress was very pleasant and efficient. Too many other great Italian restaurants in the area to come back here.

Ordered the veal piccata with lobster. Veal? Lobster? Barely any of either. Two of us ordered this and both were disappointed. My husband and uncle ordered the special and we’re pleased. The bill was over $ 300 for 4. I’m dumbfounded for what we received and I’m happy to pay for a good meal. I won’t be back!

We wanted to have a special dining night out for our annual Labor Day family dinner. Every place we wanted to try was closed(Monday night) so we decided to try nearby Pecorino. We had heard mixed reviews but went with a positive attitude. The staff were pleasant. Our waitress made the night shine. We chose a comfy booth before the crowds descended. We had perused the menu online so were pretty clear on our choices. My daughter chose the lobster ravioli, asking for a red sauce. She proclaimed it better than Ocean House. I had little neck florentine with home fettucine. It was chock full of fresh tomatoes, spinach and garlic. The little necks were stuck to the shell but flavorful. The pasta was al dente but a tad bit thick for my taste. The broth was fantastic. Mom ordered eggplant rolletini and liked it pretty well. My daughter had a lovely Malbec. We shared a bottle of San Pellegrino. Our bill was 88.00 before tip. As we departed, the place was full. We were pleasantly surprised. The setting is casual and comfortable. We will be back.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. The food is light and delicious; fantastic homestyle Italian. We both started with salads, I had the beet salad and my wife had the Tuscan salad. Both had very fresh ingredients and the dressing was applied judiciously. We also shared the eggplant rollatini, which is a bit heavy due to the mozzarella but I prefer this style and it was very tasty. For dinner we both had veal with linguini. My wife had the mushroom sauce with grilled asparagus and I had the lobster. The veal was perfectly cooked and the homemade pasta was excellent. The lobster accompanying my veal was flavorful and a nice addition to this dish. My wife raved about the mushroom sauce. I should also note the service is exceptional. All members of the staff are attentive and helpful without being overbearing. Well done.

Went there last night. Immediately red flags came up as the menu was chuck full of misspellings. Half in Italian and half in Spanish the menu was uninspiring. Tried the calamari except they were boiled and served with marinara sauce. I had the pasta e fagioli soup that was extremely salty and instead of the traditional ditalini pasta it had hand cut penne pasta. How did I know? The pieces were uneven and some were partially cut. Other guests had salmon Provençal with potatoes that promised to be fingerling but were just simply small potatoes. The topper for me was when it came to order cheese to top my soup. I asked what kind of cheese it was and she said pecorino Romano which is unusual as a soup topping. Then the waitress said incredibly«it is like Parmesan«I ignored the comment and had some pecorino on my soup which made it worse. Suffice to say the only cheese that goes is either parmiggiano reggiano(not Parmesan) or Grana padano. The other nono that was offered was to put pecorino cheese on top of the calamari. Anyone in the business knows not to put dairy on seafood. Overall it was a very amateur Italian imitation far from being Tuscan anything. One more thing I could not believe the bar man used his bare fingers to play with ice in all his drinks. Unsanitary and it would earn them a closing if health dept caught them. Do not recommend it.

What a great addition to downtown Dennis. I dined here with my mom. Sunday thru Thursday there prix fixe menu and mom ordered off of that. It included an appetizer — she ordered a crab cake, good, not great, veal Marsala which was stellar, and delicious roasted potatoes, severed piping hot, a glass of wine, and dessert, a very nice cannoli, all for $ 25.00. A steal. She had a cosmopolitan for her cocktail and would go back just for that. I started with the mussels in wine sauce which was delicious. And had the lobster ravioli. The were stuffed with lobster with just a small about cheese and was garnished with two pieces of lobster claws. It was cooked to perfection and was piping hot also. It was outstanding. The meal was a accompanied with nice homemade focaccia and bread, with a nice olive oil. Overall a great meal.

I ate tonight with my son, Friday night at 7pm after a 90 degree beach day. We live in the neighborhood year round, and this is the third restaurant we’ve tried in this location. I wish we hadn’t. The single pieces of dried wheat glued to the wall should have clued me in to the tackiness and cheapness. My son is 9, and there is no children’s menu. He ordered the calamari in sauce and thought it was tasty. I ordered the Roma Caprese salad which promised vine ripened tomatoes and buffalo mozzerella. Each cost $ 10.00. I got three slices of grocery store tomato and 3 chewy slices of mozzerella. The farm across the street is selling lovely hothouse tomatoes. We shared the lobster risotto entrée, and I wanted to try the Gavi di Gavi white wine. Incredibly the $ 10 wine was served warm with a highball glass of ice! The server put it down and walked away. I actually asked if she was joking. She took it back and I tried the Nozzole Le Bruniche which was fine but overpriced at $ 8.00. The risotto arrived with a charred, tiny lobster tail and no more than 1 cup of risotto: $ 22.00. The lobster was so tough I couldn’t remove it from the shell. The promised tomato in the rice wasn’t there. I asked for another lobster. We finished the rice in 2 minutes and 25 minutes later another tiny tail came out alone on a big plate. No lemon, no garnish, ridiculous. I asked if the owner was in the house and was told no. Meanwhile I observed the bartender Lisa putting fruit on picks with her bare hands, and dropping it into drinks instead of «picking» it up with the«picks». I was so astounded I said,“I can’t believe you just did that.” Does she scoop ice with her bare hands, too, like for wine? She sneered at me. The cost for one child and one adult sharing an entrée: $ 67.00. My son’s stomach became sick while still at the table and he had to run to the restroom 3 times, and this continued at home. I can only suspect the calamari. It’s no wonder there were only 3 other tables when everywhere else was full.

Updated review — Significant improvement! My old review needs immediate updating. We will now add this restaurant to our regular list! First — greatly expanded menu selection — more salads, appetizers, entrees, wines. And improved execution across the board. And they now have an online presence, so you can see their extensive offerings:
We both had salads — the Caesar has anchovies in the dressing and was much better than our first visit. The Tuscan salad, a new choice, was nicely dressed. We asked for an appetizer portion of gnocchi — very nice meld of flavors. My guy had a scallop special — strawberry glaze was an interesting and flavorful touch. I had a fish with piccata — I always fall for the capers and butter — and enjoyed it. Both were served with risotto but with different sauces and flavors. Desserts — cannoli and tiramisu — were a great finish and nicely presented. The restaurant even seemed roomier — not quite as crowded on this January evening. Service was again the deft touch of friendly and professional that went over well. We’ll be back!
