John assisted me with a clock restoration back a number of years ago. The clock is a wood works clock, meaning the gears/cogs are literally made of wood. I inherited it from my parents, it had been in our family but in horrible condition. The clock sat in their attic and my basement for 40+ years. Back years ago(when I was a child), I remember my dad having a clock maker look at it and telling my dad the clock would never work properly due to age, condition and it being wood works. Well, I wish my dad lived long enough to see John prove him wrong. John worked with me to identify someone to repair the cabinet and correct the reverse painting on the glass, along with some stenciling. John performed the mechanical work. I have to say, the final product knocked me off my feet. The clock looks and runs perfectly… It truly looks like something that belongs in a museum. I’ve also had John work on a clock that I bought on eBay(big mistake on my part, buying on eBay) and I bought a restored school house clock from him. If you need a clock restored/repaired or if you’re looking for a quality clock for your home, go see him — you will not be disappointed! Oh, and this 150+ yrs old clock with wood parts keeps PERFECT time!.. Thxs to John.

Well, they couldn’t help me with what I wanted(a place to buy my old antique clock and some old watches) but they were friendly, pleasant, and referred me to other businesses that could help me. Their store is clean and bright with a nice selection of wall clocks and watches, I particularly noticed a large assortment of different brands of nice tide clocks, and prices did not seem astronomical.
