Best deal in town a great buffet and make your own bar, good service, and great prices, nice and clean, but most of all good food.

I used to go here often but hadn’t been for several years after watching a kid lick every serving spoon on the buffet while the employees did nothing about it. I went back recently to give it another try and I was impressed. The food quality seems to be an improvement over what it once was. The selection is vast and the food was hot even though I was there right at opening before the lunch rush. I especially enjoyed the catfish, brocolli salad, and the many chicken stir fries. I will probably add Buffet King back to my eatery line-up.

The food was good, especially the hot and sour soup. Unfortunately I came on a weekday, leaving at 2:15. I was charged $ 10 and change, but the sign said seniors between 2 and 3 o’clock, get a price of $ 5.99. It also said that seniors get a 10% discount. I didn’t see the sign until I paid, so I asked about it, and was told that I didn’t get the discount because I didn’t point out to them that I was over 60 years old and I didn’t get the $ 5.99 because I was leaving between 2 and 3, but I arrived before 2pm. As good as the food was, I’m really disappointed in the way they conducted their business.

Your typical Chinese buffet /sushi /Mongolian Bbq with an inordinate number of octopus dishes on the buffet. Things were going ok until I bit into a chicken bone in my sweet and sour chicken. The shrimp was not de-veined and the beef and broccoli was cold. Overall I give it a meh. A one time deal, probably not on my list of restaurants to return to.

Haven been in years, I’m impressed by how good its gotten since last I had it in 2009. Everything from the food to the service has been an improvement.

The food was good with a nice variety of choices. All the essentials were there to include octopus and sushi bar which is a plus. The desert area is typical of most buffets with a working ice cream machine. I note that due to previous experience from other buffets you get shorted something. The table attendant kept the drinks coming and quickly cleaned up your used plates. All and all it was a good experience.

This place usually has pretty good food I normally go on the week days on the weekend the price is higher because they have seafood, I went there this weekend hoping to get some crab with the wife and unfortunately the entire time I was there they did not have any on the line, other than that the menu was the same as i’d seen on the weekdays now this would not normally bother me but there was one family that was there getting plenty of crab they came out with at least 6 heaping plates of crab while we were there however come to find out they were going to the back counter and the girl working back there was bringing out plates for them. So guess I was paying extra for them to get crab.

The worst Chinese buffet ever. I agree with those that stated it tasted stale and like it was made a week ago. It certainly does. They also don’t have as many options as other Chinese buffets in the area. They can’t keep up with the amount of food being eaten, so a lot of things sit empty for a while. The waitstaff could care less about you and its dirty. If you really want Chinese in Denton, others are only a few minutes away from this location and will actually be worth your money and time.

When I arrived I thought the atmosphere was great and that I was going to have a good experience. That all changed when our waiter totally disrespected us. I don’t know who she was but if you have ever seen pacific rim she looked like the female main character«mako». She was extremely rude before we ordered anything to drink she counted out our straws and then threw them down as if she had all five pieces of exodia. Needless to say I never felt that disrespected in my life. After that the rest of the staff eyed us from afar as if we were some sort of unwelcome bandit. Worst experience ever!!!

First of all, keep in mind that this is a buffet place. You take the risk of paying $ 11/person for stale, greasy, chewy food when you walk through the door. That being said, I kept an open mind upon arriving at this place. The one thing that stuck out to me the most — The selection. I was thoroughly impressed with what seemed like an endless selection of various«Chinese» dishes, deserts, sushi, and even pizza(who gets pizza at a Chinese buffet?). Because it was my first time, I indulged each dish very lightly, as I wanted to try as much as I could. The taste? Honestly, I’d have to say that most of the food was sub-par. The sesame chicken/general Tso’s dishes were both floating in a pool of their respective sauces in the buffet, and the chicken held very little consistency with a disgusting saturation of sauce flavoring. The jalapeño chicken was greasy, with an odd consistency, but I enjoyed it. The crab rangoons had a tough consistency, and tasted pretty bad. Some of the food, I found to be enjoyable — Most of it kind of sucks, though. As a rather large fan of sushi, I insisted on trying the sushi bar. The sushi from the sushi bar looked OK. It’s sushi from a buffet, so I’m not looking for a presentation. The sushi and sashimi rolls were actually pretty good, granted I can’t tell you if I’ll be puking my dinner up because of it at the moment. The Mongolian grill was the coolest part. There’s a decent selection of veggies, meats, and sauces for you to customize your own bowl. The thing I found kind of unsettling at the Mongolian grill bar was that the raw beef, chicken, and pork were all labeled«fresh» while while the contents of the buffet pans were obviously frozen and hard from their freeze. The service? These people definitely need to work on their customer service. Upon entering, before I could even get to the lady who seating people in the front, she showed us to our spot with very minimal verbal and eye contact. Our waiter was a nice guy, but while he did a good job of keeping finished plates off of our table, he did a piss-poor job of refilling our drinks. One thing thing that ABSOLUTELYBOTHERS me about this place is that there are tip jars at the Mongolian grill and sushi bar. What the hell, guys? I’m already paying $ 12 per person(not including soda), and you expect me to tip the sushi guy?! I find the tip jar to be a slap to the face to all customers. We shouldn’t be expected to pay extra after the low blow were already receiving from our bill. Oh well, moving on: The lady at the counter had no response when I said«hello,» kept very little eye contact, and immediately raised her hand for my card. All-in-all, I find that the service is the worst part about this place. TL;DR — Huge selection, some decent dishes, good sushi, good Mongolian grill, $ 11 per person(for dinner), tip jars galore, and God-Awful customer service.

I have been having a hard time in finding good, authentic Asian food(NOTTHAI) in Denton. My mom visited from Plano(where Royal Chopsticks was my best friend) and insisted we should just«try» this buffet. If she wouldn’t of spent about 30.00 on both of us, I would of asked to leave. Everything was cold, slimy, no flavor and looked like it had been sitting out since lunch time. We came in around 7:30PM, so not too late, not too early. The only good thing I found that I liked was the soft serve ice cream. My mom also complained that the shrimp was not cleaned very well and she is not picky at all when it comes to food. Will not come back.

Eh. Hubby insisted I try it. I haven’t has Chinese in a while, so I figured why not? Service is excellent! Selection is excellent! But… The meats had a funky taste to me after a few bites. Not sure why. Nobody else thought so, so maybe it was just me. I’m willing to give it another try on another day.

This place has a wonderful appearance but awful food and service. Multiple food items were cold when they should have at-least been warm. I also couldn’t understand a word of what my waitress was saying to me. The sushi quality was poor, the sesame chicken tasted atrocious, and it seemed like the best item they served was their white rice… Which isn’t saying much. If you want to waste $ 12 on terrible food, this place is perfect you.

If you enjoy greasy Chinese food that tastes like it was made a week ago. then this is your new go-to spot! The fam and I were in Denton one Saturday and the husband had a «brilliant» idea of going to a Chinese buffet. Now, I was hesitant, but since he never gets to pick where we eat, I decided to go along with it. When we got there, I quickly realized just why he never gets to pick. Obviously I wasn’t expected a 5 star meal, but I was expecting a 5 day old meal either. Sheesh! Everything that looked safe to eat tasted like straight grease. I think they just kept recooking things as it got old. Who knows. All I know is that it was horrible. I thought things were turning up when I saw they had crème puffs on the dessert table. But when I picked one up, they were so hard! No no no no no. To add insult to injury, it cost us about $ 13 per person. Tears!!!

The food is pretty good if you pick around in the foods that look appealing to you. The rice is usually pretty good but the noodles aren’t that great. They have a lot of variety on the buffet for kids like pizza, French fries, etc. since most children don’t like Chinese. The Mongolian grill is good and the guy that makes it is very fast. The sushi is not the best to me. I was kind of hesitant to eat it but it was«okay». Friday and Saturday night is crab leg night & they go very fast. The price of the buffet goes up these nights because of it. Also they don’t last long so you have to grab the crab legs as soon as they come out. I loved the crab legs though so it’s worth it. The wait staff is not that friendly & neither is the woman that seats you. So if you’re bringing a date here don’t expect top notch service.

FILTHY February 19. 2015 @ 7:30pm I went there tonight and had to go to the restroom upon entering the stall it had a pile of toilet paper almost as high and long as toilet and poop showing on all the paper. I am going to call health department on Friday. I forgot my camera but the next time it happens at another restaurant I will have it.
