Cigar Frog’s

Great place to relax and enjoy your favorite smoke, of which they have a great selection. The staff is well versed in both the cigars they carry as well as the beer and wine.
If they don’t have what they will point you in the right direction. This includes some of my new favorite. My Father and AJ Fernandez.

This place is awesome it has a great selection of fine cigars at a great price, The Staff is excellent the Patrons are also very nice and easy to talk too. the staff is very knowledgeable on cigars and pairing drinks with them — My Favorite Root beer and a nice Rocky P (yes root Beer) they have all kinds of Beer and Ale — And they even allow you to bring in your own food. (they do not serve food as someone mentioned they did in a previous post so I know he was not at Cigar frogs. Cigar Frogs has the feeling of a uptown place with Downtown prices. Just a great place to sit and relax and forget your woes of the day. Say hi to Dark «Seth» when you go in also they are biker friendly

I like almost everything about this place… making the fact that I will never go back all the more tragic. I had been a few times by myself and with my wife before last weekend. The drinks are overpriced but I can always get over that for a place I like. They have the best cigar selection in Denton, a great patio to sit on during the day and do some work, or at night and hang out and talk. Last weekend while there with my brothers we were talking about the fact that we should make it a regular event for us to catch up there, smoke a couple sticks, have a couple beers, etc. Then everything went downhill.
They close at midnight on Saturday. Ok, I am sure its because they don’t have a liquor license to sell after midnight so that’s ok… what isn’t ok is the crappy manner in which they barked at us at 2 minutes after midnight that it was time to go. But I probably could have even let that slide. We decided to head elsewhere but being the responsible guys we are, we used a designated driver and had one person drive leaving one car in the lot for a couple of hours until we returned later that night so we wouldn’t all be on the road. When we returned at 0230 we barely were able to grab our other car before it was towed. The wrecker driver was nice enough to explain that Senior Frog has asked him to make sure any cars left after 1215am are towed away as they don’t have permission to be there after midnight. Excellent way to run a business. Tow your customers cars after they spend money with you. That was the last time any of my cars will be in this parking lot. There are other places to buy cigars and other patios to sit on.

Unless your a rich hipster never go. 5 drinks and a burger $ 86. And the service sucks, burger sucked. And the drink was weak. The manager was a douche. Roosters or The Labb are much better for common Denton folks

Nice little place. The outdoor patio is nice even when it’s chilly out thanks to the fire pit tables and blankets in every chair. Glad we stumbled upon this place.

Great place for a cold beer and good cigar. Both indoor and patio seating available. No liquer but a good selection of beers available, and a easy location close the the I35 merge. Nice hometown feel.

Love Love Love this place! Coming from San Jose, CA, I’ve never been in a better cigar bar. I just wish I had come here sooner!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a really nice lady who helped us out the entire way. Stepped into their HUGE humidor (Love the aroma when you first step in) to find an abundance of a selection as well as great prices on their sticks! They have a stick for every type of person. My dad, wife, and I found the sticks we wanted and then proceeded over to the bar area.
They have a great selection of beer to pair with your stogie. Asked the lady what she would recommend for a medium-​full bodied cigar and she paired it with a nice IPA. It was a great combination with my smoke. They have around a dozen beers on tap and a bunch more in bottles. They have a decent selection of wine to go with them too. Their prices on beer are very nicely priced and makes you want to try different ones.
When you head over to the lounge area, there is a nice décor (kinda tropical theme) inside with some TVs and make you feel right at home. When you walk out to the patio area, there is plenty of seating. There are 9 fire pit tables with at least 6 chairs at each as well as 3 – 4 2-​seater tables as well. They have blankets at each chair, as well as the obvious fire pits, heater lamps, and they have a bunch of ceiling fans as well. (Probably more for the summer time heat)
Overall, I had a great experience and I will definitely be coming back. Like I said previously, I wish I had come here sooner. There is a great ambiance and a sense of relaxation when you are there. Their employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Glad I found this gem and can’t wait for my next trip there!

Rude! Their sign (one of the signs) said they closed at 1:00am… We walked in at 12:00am and the lady at the front pointed her finger at us waving it saying «We are closed. Uh-​uh we are closed.» We are older and not college kids and she passed an opportunity to serve us. We will never go back — there was a better way to let us know. Sad because we love to support local.

Cigar Frogs is a wonderful place to come and purchase cigars. They have the best selection by a wide margin for Denton. It’s the go to place when needing to purchase cigars.
As far as the lounge, they have a very inviting and comfortable place to smoke a cigar. Unfortunately they really missed the mark on their beer selection. Since they don’t have a liquor, it’s really important to have beers that pair well with cigars on tap. You need pretty big malty beers to pair well with some of the fuller bodied cigars. I was there today and none of the beers on tap are beers that would pair well.
It’s also disappointing that Cigar Frogs hasn’t embraced the local beer scene. There’s some really high quality beers brewed in the DFW area. They have nothing from Deep Ellum, Martin House, Armadillo, community, Penticolos, Four Corners and other brewery’s that are world class.
I actually traded emails about the beer selection a couple of months ago with the owner. I came in today hoping to see some improvement but it appears that this is one area he’s not interested in.
If they would up their game on their beers, they would be a 4+ star recommendation.

Opened the door and walked into a giant cloud of smoke. Looks like a weird apartment office building. Fancy lady at the bar complete with frown and vintage suit will try to intimidate you but keep in mind that they need your money. Immediately greeted by many ppl automatically upset by my existence. They had a lot of different beers and good deals. The ashtrays were full of the biggest ash I’ve ever seen in my life. You might need to be a totally normal person to have a good time here. Or if you’re into cigars, this could be your new home away from home. The outside is very interesting and/​or depressing. Looks like some kind of lodge. Bright lights from the fluorescent lights and gassy table flames licked my weird face. Don’t worry if it’s a cold night, they provide you with unlimited small blankets. Overall it’s a great place to lose your mind.

I was very excited to find out there was a bar upon entering Cigar Frog’s for the first time. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to all of our needs. I could not have been happier with the experience.
Cheap beer as well! I will definitely be going back.

I was out drinking with a buddy of mine and I, as I sometimes do when I’ve had a few, decided I really needed a cigar. My buddy said he knew of a little place but didn’t know if it was open.
We stopped in and discovered it wasn’t a package store like my buddy thought but an actual cigar bar. We grabbed a seat at the bar and I headed into the humidor to find a smoke. I found one to my liking and we returned to the bar and were drinking and smoking cigars with a Catholic priest.
A few minutes later this chick walked in looking for a beer and a cigar and was apparently on a budget. She was trying to figure out if she could afford a beer with her cigar so I just told the tender to put it on my tab. So there we sat, me, my buddy, a Catholic priest, and a chick that was a little, down on her luck. Conversation was «interesting» and the bartender, who did a fantastic job, also joined in our debate over whatever it was we were debating.
Is is a great little, place with awesome service!

Wanted to move my rating up to 5 stars as they provided great feedback on my confusion on bottle service, which will get me in there more than going down to Addison. Also, found out they stock the Perdomo Champagne 10^th anniversary sticks, my favorite, which seals the deal for me and saves me some cash on my gas guzzler going down to Addison. Now, if I can talk them into serving up a great Cuban Sandwich, then we are talking gravy there!!!

If you are wanting a quiet place to sit back in a chair and relax with a cigar this is the place to do it. Not being a much of a cigar person I found the staff to be very helpful at selecting something that would fit my taste. I wish I could give more insight to the cigar room, but after going there with a friend who knows more about the stuff he called it «not too shabby». For Denton I would call it excellent. They even offer humidors for those who want to rent them.
The place is pretty nice in the inside, and the outside compliments the inside as well. Fire pits lit in the winter help keep us warm and in the summer there are plenty of fans. The inside has a small stage for bands and a small bar you can cozy up to if you wish. The selection of beers has grown since I’ve first been and is becoming quite good. The biggest disappointment and what holds me from coming more often is there is no liquor. I would give anything for a glass of bourbon and a cigar!
While this place has a lot to offer it seems like it is missing something and I don’t mean the liquor… but yes it’s missing that to! While I am there I tend to get bored and want to move on. Even with the comfortable décor I want to leave as soon as my cigar is done and hit the next bar. Even if they had liquor in not sure this would cure that. However if you’re looking to grab a cigar and a beer, maybe some light conversation with the bar staff you will find this place fitting.

A stoogie, couple beers, and a relaxing night watching the Stanley Cup on the patio with a friend. That’s all you need after a long day at work. BTW, mad props to the patio, can’t wait to watch some football and turn on the fire pits this fall. On another note Josh has been real helpful, great to talk to, so I’m def. coming back… Also, you can bring your own food which is really cool.

Love coming here with the boyfriend. Great beer selection and nice people.

I visited Cigar Frog’s the day after their soft opening night about three weeks ago
Cigar Frog’s offers 400 something cigars, and plenty of beers and wines to go with. Definitely a good addition for Denton!
I am not a Cigar smoker, but I like the fact that this place has great in door air filtering system to keep it from being very smokey inside. And a great outdoor covered patio with lots of fire pits, ceiling fans and comfortable sitting for all to enjoy. BTW, I had great fun talking to the owners and staff. They were fun and personable.
Oh, I have been told by the staff at the Cigar Frog’s that this new place will have Jazz music for some nights of the week. One more place for UNT jazz students and Denton musicians to tune up the horn.

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, really good humidor selection. The humidor looks small at first but the selection is on par with any. Nice patio with individual table fire pits! All this and great bottle beer selection. Nice job Cigar Frogs.

Visited Cigar Frog’s after much anticipation for a friend’s birthday last night. It’s a really neat find nestled in an unexpected corner of Denton. The whole point of the place is to RELAX, which is hard to come by these days in a city packed with neon-​lit sports bars and hipster hang outs. This was a close tie between a 3 and 4 stars for me, but due to the very limited wine selection, I’m keeping it a 3 with room to grow.
The staff is what really stood out about the place. I believe the owner’s wife was working the bar and was friendly as can be. Even an employee that was off that day was hanging out up at the bar and was extremely helpful to a cigar newb like me.
The interior has the feel of a Cuban beach house. There are lots of flowery arm chairs around large glass ashtrays set up in clusters in the main room– the perfect stage for some casual conversation. They’ve got a stage in the back corner that would nicely accommodate a little lounge singing… but the patio’s where it’s at! Tons of tables set up with individual fire pits (propane flame with glass beads all fancy like) and blankets on each chair for the winter. Precious! There were plenty of fans, too, so I think it’d still be comfortable in the Texas summer heat.
I perused the humidor as a cigar novice, but ended up finding something affordable and tasty to try. They seem to have a pretty wide selection based on other cigar shops I’ve visited with friends.
Drink pricing was really reasonable with a large selection of bottle beers and some great ones on tap, staff was amazing, and the ambiance is chill as hell. I’ll be back and may just have to bump it up a star or two.
I hope the Denton crowd can keep this place alive… I think they may have hit a better-​suited and older clientele in Corinth, but hopefully word will spread and they’ll make the drive!
Side note: you will leave smelling like smoke. I only saw one or two cigarette smokers in there, but my hair and jacket reeked when I got home. But that’s most bars here in Denton, so…
