Who knew shopping for vintage clothing would be so much fun. My quick trip to Denton was made much nicer by getting properly fit by Janie. Not only did she improve my wardrobe. .. she filled me in on all the happenings in Denton. Looking forward to seeing her and Orzo on my next quick trip.

Thank you Janie and staff for making all my vintage clothing dreams come true. Janie dazzled us with her knowledge of all things vintage, and we look forward to making this our one-stop-shop for men’s and women’s clothing. No need to go anywhere else!

Circa 77 is by far one of the best vintage stores I’ve ever been to. What began as a family visit to UNT led to our discovery of this wonderful shop. We were greeted warmly, and shopped for quite a while. My sister got two gorgeous formal dresses, a black Scott McClintock size 8 and a silver Loralie size 10, and a pair of white heart shaped sunglasses. I got a very cute size 16 Betsy Lauren romper. Nothing seemed overpriced at all, and we were extremely satisfied with our visit. We will definitely come again!

This was the friendliest vintage store I’d ever been in. My brother and I wandered in on a quiet Monday, and the owner was so nice! They had a good selection of old dresses, men’s stuff, and it was well maintained. This isn’t goodwill, complainers. When there is care put into garments before they are resold, they might be a little more than $ 1. Sure, the store is small, but it was filled with selections of all sorts of everything. Even a Pee Wee Herman doll. And that? Makes it a-ok with me.

I would like to say that I am not a vintage person, but I decided to go in because they were having a sale. If you are not a size 6 or above do not waste your time, and they only had a slim selection of size 6. To me they are over price(but then again this may be okay for a vintage store) there is no way that I am paying over $ 100 for a dress, that is not brand new. They had a couple of cute earrings but that was about it.

Huge vintage selection! Rather pricey but you pay for what you get.

I am tempering my un-enthused visit to Circa 77 with the fact that it’s a vintage store… and they can be so hit or miss depending on when you visit. Their selection is small especially on the men’s stuff. They seemed to carry several pearl snaps(my fave) in my size(hard to find) but none seemed worth buying. I HATE that they do not have prices on the clothes. this makes for an un-fun shopping adventure. They seemed to carry lots of formal wear especially for the ladies but that is not for me,(I haven’t shaved my legs in weeks). The staff seemed friendly just not what I was looking/hoping for. better luck next time.

Circa 77 is a classic Denton store with fab vintage finds, run by an awesome mom and daughter duo. They’re not afraid to give their advice, which is great if you can suck it up, take it or leave it, and say what you want and don’t want. They do alterations, and are negotiable on prices if you bring it up. There’s also a couple of local designers who sell their stuff there, mostly screen printed clothes, jewelry and more. And they have a lot of clothes to rent for themed parties, halloween and more. Love ‘em!

This store is somewhat a hit or miss. The clothes(overall) are really cute and potentially very fashionable. There is a seamstress in the store to help you have any clothes you purchase fit you just perfectly and everyone hanging out there at that moment seem to be really hip and friendly. The only problem is that there is no seemingly definitive price-range for the clothing, so you could end up paying near 20 bucks for a threadbare pearl-snap shirt. So for a timid shopper, it’s makes for an awkward moment.

Hands down, the best vintage store in Denton. Christina is a riot and has a lot of good stuff in the store. She and her mom are both really sweet and helpful. And I loooove them for carrying vintage clothes larger than a size 8. I like to eat, back off. The prices are ridiculously reasonable, the shit is adorable, and they do alterations. Neat!

HEYDAVID M. that was at my house. Does anyone have pics of Ashlie’s teeth post-incident? FYI I love this store. When its time to get your girl talk on AND buy cute clothes, hit up this store. Christina is your woman.

This is my favorite place to shop in Denton. Not only are the employees really helpful and friendly, but it’s really affordable amd has a large selection of cute and unique clothing in a wide range of sizes. And they put your purchases in a cute totebag.

Circa 77 is owned by the nicest people: Janie and her daughter Christina, who have the biggest smiles in Denton. If something doesn’t fit just quite right they’ll make alterations for a small fee, which is awesome! What makes Circa 77 better than other boutiques is their variety of bigger-girl sizes. Not everybody is a perfect size 6, right? And what I love about this place the most is their selection of one-of-a-kind T-shirts, dresses and accessories made by local artists. For example, one designer makes vinyl wallets with Star Wars designs and T-shirts with random designs of Paris Hilton and naked girls standing next to a bear. That’s hot!
