The beer selection is absolutely huge. The staff is super nice, friendly, and flirty. This place is great.

This place has been open long enough to have their act together but service is horrible, period. As for food, mahi salad and burgers are very good. French dip just ok, buffalo fries a wet, mushy mess, and 2 people threw up their meatloaf as soon as they got home.

Been a few times now. They have a ton of craft beers on tap. I think it was 147 of them. The waitress nor the, so called bartenders showed much beer knowledge. I like trying new beers and getting suggestions. I received zero suggestions, because they seem like they don’t drink beer. Service was pretty fast though. I’ve only tried the pulled pork nachos and wasn’t really impressed with them. I didn’t like the barbecue sauce on them, and it was a pile of mess. Has lots of TVs and a main room in the front that has really huge TVs. That would be an excellent place to host a party or corporate event. It’s pretty decent place but I feel the prices are kind of high for what they’re offering. Oakstreet and East side both have just as good of a beer selection, better pricing, and more knowledgeable staff

Love the food. The club sandwich is huge. Loved watching the football game on the big screen. Loved. Great staff.

My wife and I are new to the area and I really wanted a place that had a great beer selection. This is the place! 140 beers on tap and they have beers that are hard to find. I seriously think I’m in love! And they have food that was actually really good. The cherry on top was the great service that we received from Maddie. She was really attentive and was always there before we even knew we needed her. She even took the time to tell us about cool things to do in the area when she found out we are new to texas. Needless to say I will definitely be back and I will be bringing friends.

Yes they have a selection of 140 plus beers. Most are Texas beers. The staff was ok and the app(Bacon Thingies) was lukewarm. Overall, it’s average.

The best selection of craft beers in the area. The ambiance is phenomenal to watch sports or to hang out with friends drinking beers and playing board games. Their menu looks great but the execution is lacking. Food is either over seasoned and over cooked or under seasoned and over cooked. Stick to the beer and you will love this place.

Dear god, YUCK. I went here based on the recommendation from the hotel staff. Wow. I guess it’s great if you’re just drinking beer and nothing else(and definitely not eating anything). I had a martini that was obviously made with some jalapeño juice — gross. The food was also about the same quality as a frozen dinner. If you go to the bathroom– be prepared for your shoes to stick to the floor because it hasn’t been cleaned in a LONG time. Gross… Just gross.

140 beers on tap?! say whhattttt!!! I’ve seen other locations of this place that looked a little sketchy so I never thought to give it a chance. well, I knew I was going to be hanging out in denton and wanted to watch the Texas Tech game and thought it would be cool to take my friends to a place called pourhouse… only for me to find out that pourhouse closed(I guess they went to the pour house)… but I saw that this«hot new business» opened up in it’s place. Once I saw they had a large craft beer selection and pretty decent menu I thought I’d give it a try. very spacious, with a great view. the staff was friendly and they offer open seating. lots of TV’s and even a movie theatre type viewing room. we shared a multitude of appetizers and they were delish. my beer was awesome, it was the most similar thing they had to a Velvet Hammer, I’m just a little sad I can’t recall the name of it, so if anyone from Drunken Donkey is reading this and knows what I’m talking about please feel free to let me know! Thanks in advance! anywho, I had a good time, my friends had a great time. I would absolutely stop by another drunken donkey if I passed one up. just don’t know if it would be as cool at the Denton location. ps. they have a pet patio for those of you with fur friends.

I’ve been here a few times now, and I love it! The first time was during their $ 1 beer weekend special, and even though they were slammed we had great service. They have a wonderful selection of beer and a lot of TVs so you can watch any game you desire. My only small issue is this: The first time I ordered their ‘veggie wrap’ I made sure to ask what was in it to look out for any meat or cheese since there was no description. It was made clear that there was no meat or cheese, but it ended up being loaded with cheese. The second time I ordered it, I asked for no cheese. Then it showed up with bacon on it! However, both times the waitress was very apologetic and fixed it in a hurry so I still give them 5 stars!

So I’m between a 3 and 4 on the drunken donkey. If you are into the sports bar thing, you will enjoy the loud interior with a gazillion TVs. There are two walls lined with windows so you can enjoy the«lake» view. Outside, there is a patio and also a pet patio. The food was not what I expected, in a good way. I expected their bacon thingies to be a big ball of fried bacon and cheese and I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted fresh with very little«fried» if at all so you didn’t feel gross after eating it. The pulled pork nachos were good and had a sweet sauce. The reuben had high quality chunks of corned beef and again, I was surprised. The fish component of the fish and chips was very flavorful. The burger was just ok and I was a bit bummed. It seemed like it needed more flavor /seasoning and it was cooked too much for a medium burger. They use locally sourced food and I really appreciate that. I also appreciate that things taste fresh and dare I say, light. I hate the way I feel after eating bar food, but I didn’t feel that. Oh, and brunch items all day. Need I say more. I think they can improve on the efficiency of their service. When I was inside, I had literally about 10 different people ask if I needed something, but not when I actually needed it. When we sat outside, well, they forgot drinks, silverware and plates so we were looking at our food. They seem to have alot if staff buzzing around so I think they can figure out a more efficient system. I like the outside more so not sure how much I will go in the winter, but you never know. A surprising restaurant that can satisfy a picky foodie like me.

Friendly and attentive people. Great food at an ok price. The duck was good but could use a bit of salt. The quail was really good and plated as if you were at a fancy restaurant. Emily was the highlight of our visit… her contagious smile and personality elevated our overall experience.

I have come several times and, although they have a pretty extensive beer selection, I have learned they rarely keep all of them available. Food is what you would expect from bar food, just okay. I’ve had their sandwiches, wings, and nachos, and they were all just okay. They have plenty of tvs and have several sports playing at all times, which is always a plus. They have a nice patio and the atmosphere has always been good. TL;DR — Food is not good, beer selection is extensive, although not always available, good atmosphere. Edit: Visited a few more times and added one star. Wings are good. Beer selection is still great. Food is still meh.

So we went twice in one night… Our first and last time. Pretzel sticks were good. Corona with lime please. No lime. My husband finished his beer before I got my lime. Second Corona with lime. No lime. We were sitting in the bar area watching the bartender. She made 3 of the same shot but one at a time. Then they were wrong. So the next bartender made them right but ran out of whipped cream. Does she get more? No they are out. She leaves the shots as is for the poor waitress. I finally suggested she spoon the whipped cream off the mess ups. Worst bar staff ever. Go to leave. Hear a 2 man band and step in. Wow! Air conditioning so we sit down. I order a grey goose and soda with a lime. Guess what… I get it with no lime. Is it Save the lime day and I don’t know? Needless to say we won’t be back.

Went to watch World Cup after friends recommended it. We didn’t like the Pourhouse that was there before, but gave it a try and liked it a lot. Had the Bacon Things which were really good and Philly. Fish tacos were a little short on fish but still good. Good service and love the individual tvs at each booth(not tables). Went back again with friends later that week and had the Salmon and Club Sandwich. All were good. It’s like 2 steps above a Hooters. Waitresses are cute but covered and I didn’t feel it was too much and the menu is classier. The view from the bar out to Unicorn Lake is also a plus. Fine for kids as well. Several families there. Overall it balances a manly sports bar to be female-friendly with a nice menu everyone can find something to eat.

Don’t take four stars as some kind of hit. A sports bar is lucky to make three in my book. That said, this location is rocketing out of the opening-day gremlins quickly. The menu is well above average for bar food, and this location preps it well. If you are tired of this area’s nachos with two ingredients or canned vegetables, do yourself a favor and try these. Be careful, however, because fresh jalapeños are an order of magnitude hotter than their canned counterparts. The beers choices are great. Very crafty, if not terribly local. Wine choices are good, but minimal. The manger has mentioned that they are trying to expand the selection due to higher than normal demand for wine. Time will tell. Service is exceptional for this kind of joint. Take a moment and you will notice that the staff orbits as a team and stays at arms length until signs at your table indicate a needed. I’ve seen this before, but usually I’m dropping $ 100 a person for it.

We visited this new location opening weekend and had an amazing experience both food and service wise. So we decided to go back two weekends later and wanted to sit out on the great patio. We asked the hostess/manager if there were any patio tables available and he said no. Just then a waitress walked up behind him and said that she had 4 tables open. He very rudely told her«don’t tell them that», and turned to us and said it was going to be 30 – 40 minutes. So we walked out the door since we knew that they did have seating available. We wanted to give them another chance since it was their opening month during the previous visit. Today’s visit was was just a slightly below average bar experience. The food went from 5-star bar food during opening weekend to 2 – 3 star food now. And, the appearance of the place is already looking and smelling dirty and not well maintained, especially in the restrooms. And all of the cork board menus smell like vomit(I’m sure it’s not actually vomit, but the cork just can’t be cleaned). I was initially really excited about this place because of the great food and amazing beer selection, but now it’s just another place to grab a beer. I hope the owners/management don’t let the quality slip up because they could have a great thing going for them.

I never visited Pourhouse, so I was completely clueless about this places existence. Ended up going to a happy hour here and immediately noticed the sign on the door that says«no vaping». That makes me unhappy, but there is a nice outside patio where us vapers can vape in the scorching heat. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that, but the beer selection is great. The wait staff(I can’t bring myself to call them bartenders) seem fairly clueless. I guess being used to the excellent staff at Oak Street and East Side has turned me into a bartender snob. When multiple people ask the«bartender» about multiple beers and the answer is consistently«I don’t know, I’ve never tried it», well, that’s a problem in my book.

Awesome place! Been going to the other location in lewisville and was hooked. Found out about this place via Lisa Tran. Went to try it out during their soft opening and was told by the waitresses to expect slow service. Food came out quick and beer cold! I love the sport bar vibe in this place. They have a ton of board games for leisure. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Giving this place an A+ for service. The bacon thingie is a must every time! Buffalo fries goes well with the huge selection of draft beers so go ahead and order those too. We also ordered the glazed duck entrée and the smoldered chicken. Both well decorated and tasty! Compliment to the chef! New go to place? I think yes!
