Mean Green Central Grill

Aside from what appeared to be a frustrated French woman behind the counter. This place makes a decent burger. At the moment, aside from the delivery, proximity to UNT campus and very aggressive pamphlet advertising; this place doesn’t have much else going on. It’s worth checking out just once to say you’ve done so.

Ordered some wings around December after seeing a flyer on the door. It was delivered just on time. I ordered about four different flavors and asked for the wings to be extra wet, however I received them rather dry with little sauce. Not a big deal, just a preference of mine to have my wings a little saucier, but I wrote it down four times on each set of wings that I’d ordered, and the request was still obviously ignored. The flavors were good, though not exceptional. But maybe that was because I didn’t get a whole lot of it haha. I also ordered several cups of ranch and didn’t receive those at all. When I called back to ask about that, the person who’d been given the phone had an awful attitude, as if she wanted to say, «Okay, and what do you want me to do about it?» I didn’t want them to waste time sending someone back just with ranch, but I was hoping they’d offer to do something about it, like offer free dipping sides next time. Instead, I just asked for a refund. The woman on the phone said, «.They’re only 30 cents a cup» as though I were asking too much for something I’d paid for. My issue wasn’t even that I was out a couple dollars for ranch, my issue was the way they dealt with it. Regardless of how much it was, she made it sound as though I were wasting her time for something that was their fault. I had a pretty bad experience with ordering from them and wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I ordered delivery and the food got here early. The fries were also crispy when they arrived. Burger was delicious and for delivery you get quite a bit of food for $ 15.

Awesome place great food and excellent service. The owner of this place really knows what’s going on to take care of his customers so well. I highly recommend this place to any one that eat food haha. Great burgers too. Good prices too!

Their food is soooo good! I work next door and the staff is always so kind to bring me my order if I don’t have time to wait for it. Their chicken ceasar wrap is by far my favorite entrée I’ve eaten here yet!

This place is awesome. Before I had a chance to take a bite, my wife said, «I think this is the best burger I have ever had.» I found it hard to argue. The burgers were fantastic. The buns were very special — fresh baked sourdough.

For my first visit to this place I wasn’t impressed. The burger was good and simple just the way I like it there are no complaints about that. The service could’ve used some improvement though. Upon first walking in we weren’t greeted until we got to the counter to order. I inquired about a student discount, as several other reviews state they offer it, and was given a dirty look and told they didn’t offer that. The look I got made me feel that since I don’t look young enough to be a student they just assumed I couldn’t be and turned me down. This was very off putting to me and I would’ve happily have paid full price but figured it was worth asking to save a little cash. Had it not been for the food being good I would’ve given only 1 star.

Got my order wrong. Was having a good time watching some Thursday Night Football and thought to myself, «Wow, wings sound really good rn». So I place a pickup order for 10 TRADITIONAL wings and end up getting BONELESS and a flavor I didn’t ask for. Also, there was no ranch or blue cheese. Y’all tryna catch these hands?

The food is pretty good, and the fries are banging! It seems to be a little pricey, but despite that I loved my experience!

Pretty disappointed at my last visit. Any time my old college friends come back into town, we hit up Central Grill for nostalgia and to specifically order a pile of chicken wings in their unique and oh so delicious Astro flavor. Seems the new owners didn’t want to carry that specific flavor anymore though. Guess we won’t be visiting again.

I’m in Denton at the UNT campus for a few weeks and a local told me about this place so I checked it out. After eating here twice I can tell you if your in Denton and not eating here you are doing it wrong. They specialize in burgers and wings and let me tell you… the wings are so good. Not breaded (which I like) the Hot sauce is that great mix of heat and flavor. I ordered wings both times but my second visit I also ordered the Byron Bomber Burger and it’s great. Plus really good fries. If your looking for great burgers and wings this your spot in Denton!

First time trying this place. Didn’t feel like going out and about and just received notice on my door that they deliver! Food arrived extremely fast and it was so yummy! Broccoli bites! Can you say genius?! They were the highlight of my meal… I also got a buffalo chicken sandwich that was yummy as well. Friendly and not that this matters but very attractive delivery guy haha. I’ll Def order again

Went in again this week and had yet another awesome experience! There was a French girl named Celeste that was just as sweet as could be and made whole experience even better. Thanks for great food, and the great service.

Our fave wing place in town! Just the right amount of smoky flavor and seasoned/​sauced well. They smoke the wings slightly first before cooking them! Yum! Eaten here several times, even delivery and always pleased with the food and service. Will def be back over and over again!

A Denton gem for sure. Buffalo Wild Wings has nothing on these guys! Be sure to try out he jalapeño cool ranch wings. Haven’t tasted anything like it! They also have a strawberry version which is pretty popular, will need to try out next time. Hands down best wing place in Denton

I was driving around in Denton and was in the mood for a good burger. Saw this place with a good review on Unilocal,so I decided to come in. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries & drink for about $ 10 (kinda pricey), but it was delicious.
Also, they have some good daily deals and even better ones for UNT students. Recommended!

So I was thinking hamburger as I walked over here then felt guilty because I had a hamburger already this week. When I got here they had salad options and they sounded pretty good. I got the Hot Buffalo Chicken Salad. $ 6.99
They offer a 10% discount to UNT students but turns out it is for only hamburgers.
The salad was not real big but spread nicely on a large plate. I noticed right away the eggs were over cooked and they only had ½ an egg on the plate. The chicken had good flavor but it was not Hot, warm, but not Hot. Unless they meant Hot Buffalo sauce, the sauce was not hot to me either, but I like spicy so that doesn’t count.
They have free Wifi and it was offered to me because the lady working the front end saw me with my computer and books.
The water is good, cold and while eating the place cooled down quick. I didn’t say anything but the fanning of myself with my homework may have clued them of the temperature.
Nice decorations unless you’re not a UNT fan. Decorating is like a sports bar without the bar. Friendly workers and a coupon when I checked in on Unilocal.Love the coupons!
I will come again, but next time, I’ll get the hamburger, fries and drink special with the extra student discount.

I’m giving this place one star because I can’t write a review with anything lower.
This place has the worst service out of any Denton restaurant I’ve been to. Previously the restaurant was known as just ‘Central Grill,’ but with the same menu. I waited 45 minutes for a cold wrap with fries. The restaurant is small, and they were not busy. My good arrived and it was poorly assembled, and my fries were cold. I didn’t have time to put in a complaint as my lunch break is only 30 minutes and my food took the whole break plus some to make. I do not recommend going to this place, ever!
