Can’t even give a star. Place was dead and its 645 in Sunday evening. It was like being in a slow motion movie. Slow to seat us and slow to greet us. Bad

Dined at Outbackhave coast to coast for 25 years, normally good consistent food. Ate at this location tonight and it was terrible. Steak tough/dry and baked potato was old, dried out and nasty. They brought me a second one and it sucked also. Mgr said they threw all others away. Obviously their corporate folks have cut back quality and portion sizes. Very little dressing in the salads anymore. And that delicious dark bread and butter they USED to serve? Not anymore. The bread smells of a dirty dish rag and the butter is a very low quality with little flavor. Hats off to Outback corporate for cutting costs to boost their stock price, but the diners suffer gagging down sub par low quality over priced food. And the lobster tails keep shrinking and shrinking anshrinking and shrinking. Looks like they are down to 2 ounces now. Look like a large crayfish tail from China. Maybe they are ?? There are better alternatives in Denton to this corporate greed driven Outback location. Still can’t believe they served that nasty baked potato…

Blooming onion is spicy good, but very oily. Waited 20 minutes for salad, and after 30 min still waiting for prime rib.

I have been going to Outback since they opened in Florida. We live in Denton area and have been going to Denton Outback since late 90’s. Tonight awful. Wed night, 745p, 15 minute wait asked for table as I am let’s just say it to fat for a booth. Pager goes off after 20min up we go. We have your booth ready, o o… This should have been a sign. Ordered the pork chop, wife the 12.99 outback sirloin. Forgot, took ten minutes for wait staff to show up. Drinks come quickly. Then waiter comes back, no pork chop… I order same as wife outback sirloin with salad, pecan one, and sweet potato. Ok bread is good, but no refill anymore, also no refill on ice tea, or a visit from waiter with how is your meal? Manager used to come through and inquire about dinner, I can see why. Got check, no 12.99 special charged 1.00 extra for salad and no mini dessert. Asked about manager, no response on that, evidently there is not a manager anymore must be a cost savings.

The Outback does a good, if not great, job as a premier eatery. We have eaten there at least 30 times and only had one incident and that was with a new server that really was trying — I don’t think he was there very long. The Outback had a flat bread appetizer that was absolutely wonderful but they unfortunately took it off of their menu. We do not go there as often now but we would if they still had the flat bread –

What’s not to love about this chain restaurant? Everything I’ve had on the menu has been amazing! This past visit, hubby ad I had the new Hand Carved Sirloin classic style with the cabernet sauce on the side. It was DELICIOUS! Hubby thought it was pretty darn good too. We were a little hesitant when we were ordering and our server informed us it is only cooked to Medium.(We are a rare to med-rare steak lovers) but when it came out it look absolutely beautiful!(I think our server saw the disappointment on my face when he told us it is cooked to medium and told the chef and they found the rarest they could, because it was more medium rare than medium. Was so happy about that! Had the Down Under Rita on this visit, and it was so tasty! All in all, I don’t have a single complaint about this Denton location. Food and service has always been on point. Great job and kudos to the management.

This is the only location that doesn’t have drink specials, much prefer the Lewisville location anyway. The service was mediocre, they don’t greet you at the door and the host was unpleasant. Food was good but potatoes were cold. Could have been a better experience.

What happened, Outback?! So the last time we are at an Outback was a couple of years ago while staying in Rochester, MN. They hadn’t built a Texas Roadhouse yet, and we felt that we could always depend on Outback. Their food was GOOD! But once we moved back to Texas we were back to Texas Roadhouse. Because… Texas Roadhouse. I was in the mood for what I had always had in Rochester though so we set out for Outback in Denton. This was a Saturday at lunch time. We should have known when we pulled up and questioned if they were open that we should keep driving down 35. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot. We went in — they were open! — and were seated immediately. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. We didn’t notice, but we kind of think hat maybe we were given lunch menus(?), because things seemed different. Or maybe things have just changed since we’d been to one of their locations? Anyway, we both ordered the 8oz sirloin(figuring my husband would eat whatever I didn’t), mine medium, his medium-well. We both got loaded baked potatoes and salads as our sides. Bread comes out and is just like we tenement — so good! Salad comes out — good! Lots of lettuce, about half an itty bitty potato. But still good! Food comes out. My steak was cooked correctly but was so, so hard to cut, and I swear I had to gnaw on that shit forever to even be able to swallow it. My husband pulled it away to make sure I was cutting it properly l(as far as the grain), which I was. This was a thick cut of meat on top of that. My baked potato was nice until I ate the top layer — the top part was nice and dressed with butter and sour cream(nothing else), and everything else was dry as can be. Just not enough topping. My husband was gracious and switched steak with me — his was cooked more than I prefer, but it was edible. In total we spent around 30 something dollars, which was ridiculous for the quality. We will not be going back. This is Texas — this is something that hey should have down. Texas Roadhouse for us from now on.

Went to this Outback in Denton at 5pm on a Monday night. First off it took 15 mins for the waitress to even to take our drink order. Even then we had to wave Someone down. The manager came out and apologize for the mix up in staffing and gave us a free appetizer. It made up for the wait. We we happy. But… The appetizer came 20 mins later. 10 mins later my dinner salad. 15 mins later our meal. I order my steak medium, it came out well done. I am not an expert on steak but my 12oz steak seemed small. My small serving of potatoes were cold. My wife’s sandwich was small and not worth the 11 dollar price tag. The best meal on the table was my sons chicken strips. Never going back to this outback. Could have went to saltgrass and got a much better steak for the same price.

The food was delicious and I can’t recall a time it hasn’t been. I had the pleasure of receiving speedy service from Amanda who was upbeat and friendly despite the raining outside. I ate alone and while I finished my desert the manager Ms. Beth approach and asked if my meal was fine and I’m sure my smile spoke before I did. I was so taken back that she took the time out to politely inquire about not only my meal but overall service. I answered that my meal was succulent and flavorful leaving me full and sated. This was the first time I had dined alone and the receptionist Sat me at a cozy table with the tv in visible range which I greatly appreciated. I felt right at home and completely comfortable where she place me that I couldn’t have requested a better seat. The servers are well trained, polite and accommodative which leaves a seamless flow of positive energy to any full customer. As far as recommendations try the Victoria Filet Mignon(medium rare) with the steamed(can be grilled) Lobster tail with some sweet desert wine. Will I dine there again you ask?(**) Yes with no doubts about it. Bön appétit

Yuck. This place has been terrible the past several times. I keep wanting it to be awesome, but it sucks. Service is mediocre and reminds me of that movie«waiting» where the kids are all probably playing with their junk and complaining about the customers. It’s extremely obvious that they don’t care anymore and are surviving purely on the folks who don’t know any better. Texas Roadhouse will give you twice the experience, 10 times the food quality, and a smaller check. If you understand good food, stay away from outback. The clock is ticking in this disaster. I wish I had taken a photo of my steak portobello. I was just too embarrassed for them to snap a photo. Looked like two cockroaches laid on a flat turd.

Typical Outback. Our first loaf of bread was cold and tasted stale, but the second was hot and fresh. Steaks were cooked right, sides were hot and salads were fresh and cold. Good service, lots of soda refills and they ran our discount coupon without any trouble. We’ll be back!

Ordered a To Go meal for my husband and I. Kept being put on hold & bounced around to different people like they’d never taken a phone order to go before. Get there and he’s informed that our sides were messed up… Ok no big deal I guess, one of the employees told us we’d get a free cheesecake for all the problems, which we never got. Get home, eat dinner while watching some movies and realize that they forgot one of our appetizers(stuffed mushrooms). Unfortunately it was after 10pm when we decided to eat the mushrooms and outback was closed. I realize he should have looked in the bag to make sure we had everything but by the time he got our meal he just wanted to get home. Only good thing I can say is that the food was good but we won’t be going back to this outback anytime soon.

This place is a joke. I’m the biggest Outback fan ever and this place just depresses the hell out of me. Sat at the bar and the service was on par with El Chico. I don’t know where to begin so I will jump straight to the end I promise never to stray form Saltgrass Steak house again. I ordered steak and lobster and again I wish I had drove just two exits down. Good luck.

I would give 3.5 stars if I could. Let me break it down: My family and I shared a bloomin onion which was a 5. My brother had CFS which he said«best one I’ve ever eaten». So, another 5. My mother had filet and coconut lobster, which she liked to the tune of 4.5. My father and I both had the sirloin, which was the the worst steak I’ve ever eaten. My dad was a little kinder, but he’s 88, has more years and bad steaks under his belt. I gave my sirloin a 1 and he gave his sirloin a 2. The baked potato, salad, bread and asparagus were 3– 4. Service was ok. Atmosphere was good. Cleanliness was good. I will try again. Will have a filet. Hope next time I can rate my meal a 4 or 5!!!

This Outback restaurant has been remodeled for the better since November 2014. I liked the look and feel of the new bar area inside. We went there during the early evening and the service was fast and attentive by not only the bartender but also the team of servers. We had ordered Shrimp on the barbie for an appetizer and it was spiced and cooked just right. I like the new plating compared to the older style on a bread. Shrimp tasted great however wish the size was bigger but then again for $ 9.99 I can’t ask for more. For dinner I had the Pork Chop. I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked this dish and it was served at the right temperature and spiced well. It was even priced right at $ 14.99 and came with 2 sides. 2 Fosters 22oz draft beers later I had a better experience at this location than most reviewers. Call it chance, luck or whatever. I had a great time.

LOL this place is a joke! Nothing but mediocre food. I ordered the mahi mahi with crab stuffing and the only thing I enjoyed eating was the incredibly small side of veggies it came with. The sauce that was smothered over the fish was FUNKY. And they don’t have a lot of options for dessert! Never EVER going to outback again.

I will say i was very happy with the updated décor, but felt that it lacked so much in other areas. Service was excellent and did quite well for the large group we had. Only complaint i had was that they forgot my mash potatoes, in their defense I did not realize this until about 10:30pm, while out having a drink. How stupid of me :) I had the steak and shrimp with fries and what would have been mash potatoes. For the price of the steak i found it to be below average and half of it to be very chewy. I honestly think i just got a bad cut and really had nothing to do with cooking or prep. On the other hand the shrimp was almost to the point of awful. Chewy, bland and dry are just the short words that go with it. The garlic sauce was a big hit and helped, but shrimp of this nature should be excellent by itself. You might make note that a friend let me try their steak as well and it was quite good. I feel that this place has become overpriced and offers nothing special for it to be the steak place to go to. With restaurants on every block it’s getting harder to set yourself apart. Back in the day Outback was the place that stood out for a decent steak and all around good food at a fair price. Times have slowly changed and i think they have taken a back seat to the steak restaurants.
