Great food and service ! Open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. Serves mimosas. Large menu choice.

Found this place while the wife and daughter are at a dance recital TWU. Hip atmosphere, great enthusiastic wait staff and fun breakfast/brunch menu. Coffee was really good. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Not a fan of their coffee but I am surely a big fan of their gluten free cinnamon coffee cake and cheese grits. Best cheese grits I have ever had!

Very poor sanitation practices. If you’re going to have people seated at the bar where they can see things, you may want to make sure you’re on your A-game. Food was blah. Flavorless and greasy. Not coming back. Ever.

Food here is ok. Service was terrible. Took 15 minutes to get out drink order. Then another 20 minutes to get drinks. I had to walk up to the counter to get my drinks myself. Then another 20 minutes passed before I decided to go back to the counter to put my food order in. Had to pretty much serve ourselves. Just told the waitress 10 min ago, who finally came by for our checks… still waiting. And have yet to receive my pancake that I ordered with meal. Will not be back. The servers need a lot more training.

A great café! Took my family here for brunch on Saturday and was very pleased with all aspects of the service. I had the Ethiopian blend of coffee(pleasantly mild) and Joe’s Breakfast Tacos with avocado. The breakfast tacos are a good amount of food at a reasonable price; also, they were delicious. My wife had the Benny sampler, pick two Benedicts, which I’ll be back to try as they have quite a selection. There was a bit of a wait(30ish minutes) but it was well worth it.

This location is a little different than their Highland Village location but that’s ok. Same good food. Get the pancake sampler and go crazy on your three choices. Stay away from the alcoholic drinks.

This place was very good! I suggest the Oreo pancakes if you make the decision to go. They are very soft, buttery, and delicious. The wait staff was super friendly and they were attentive at all times. Not to mention, the waitress we had was very kind and would check up on us, but she also created distance between us to leave us be. Good food, good service. Highly recommended!

A gem in the heart of Texas — food was outstanding(traditional but not boring) and the staff were all friendly and attentive. You can’t go wrong.

Took my mom here for brunch and we had a great meal. The food was super and the staff was great. I wish I could get a guaranteed gf pancake but the menu is very specific about cross contamination issues so thanks for being honest! I will be back.

We loved this place very modern and hip. The service was fantastic and good was yummie. We got a pancake sampler peanut butter, red velvet and chocolate chip pancake. Egg Benedict with chicken sausage while my hubby got the turkey bacon. It was amazing must try if you are in the area.

This is my favorite restaurant in Denton. I can’t believe I lived an entire year here without ever visiting. They have so many options for food restrictions! Their vegan pancakes are some of the only ones offered in the entire DFW area!!! They also have gluten free. I really can’t say enough about this place. Cinnamon Roll and S’moreo Pancakes are amazing, but also really sweet. Plain and fruit pancakes are also tasty. Only get one pancake per visit, you’ll have a hard time finishing it!

Omg… the grits are absolutely amazing! The service is superb and the atmosphere is great! We made the trip to Denton just for breakfast. Oh and try the house pancake, it’s just as good as the speciality ones.

Seven Mile is my go to place when I’m craving an amazing pancake. I recently tried the berry one topped with mascarpone and it was delicious! Basically a dessert for breakfast. I usually do one pancake and one other savory breakfast item, like a taco, to balance it out. They have great espresso drinks as well, albeit a little expensive. I’ve had their chipotle vegan Benedict before and it has the most delicious chipotle sauce on top, I’d recommend it for vegans and non-vegans. I tried to recreate it at home, but can’t make it as good as theirs! There are lots of good options here so it’s a great place for groups, too!

I really love the food here! They have some of the best vegan food around and have multiple vegan options. Try the migas or tofu Benny! The restaurant is a cool old house. They have a nice coffee bar right next door too. The only negative is that they have gotten popular and has long lines and wait times. Great food with friendly staff. You really need to go give it a try.

Fan-freakin-tastic! Love that they have vegan breakfast options. I got the Chipotle Tofu Benny and it was dandy! Couldn’t ask for better! I don’t know how their business is during the week, but weekend breakfast, be prepared to wait for a table; it’s a popular place. I can see why! Their food really is top notch. The coffee is a bit too acidic for my taste, but with some cream(or ask for soy milk if you don’t do dairy) it’s alright.

Brunch is a thing. It’s a thing in Denton as it is a thing where I currently live in Portland. On the weekends the few brunch places in town have lines out the door. In Denton, it’s places like the Oldwest Café, the Loco Café, Cartwright’s and the Seven Mile Café. There’s always a wait and the food is almost always great. I’ve never been much of a brunch person but if that’s what the father wants, that’s what he gets and Seven Mile Café is where we ended up. We did have a wait but it went fairly quick. The food is a little on the spendy side but there is a good variety with egg dishes, waffles, pancakes, benedicts and even some Tex-Mex like migas(or vigas for the vegetarian crowd) and Huevos Rancheros. These Huevos Rancheros are what was calling me. Crispy tortillas, black beans, ranchero sauce, shredded pork and two eggs. The pork is what made it excellent. Sweet and cooked perfectly. The tortillas were crisp and when I cut into the eggs, the yolk covered everything with such goodness and made it all even better. As with most all Texas food, bigger is better and this wasn’t a small breakfast. My daughter had a chocolate chip pancake that was the size of the plate. She loved it. With as busy as this place gets on Sundays, it wouldn’t have hurt to have at least one more server. They have their own coffee blend but they also carry Stumptown Coffee from Portland, Oregon. Great food and I wish I had gotten here while I lived in Denton. Enjoy.

Very delicious. I love all of the eggs Benedict options at Seven Mile Café and have always had great service here. It can get very busy and crowed, so be prepared to wait.

My first experience dining at this establishment was pleasant, though I do have some suggestions. I’ll start with my first impression of the location. 7 mile café sits on a side street within walking distance of the square, it is within an old home next to their coffee shop which is in an old church. Their building is nice and well up kept although it is very warm indoors. Immediately upon being seated I noticed that the floor and the chairs were dirty. There were food crumbs and bits of trash on the floor for the entire 45 minutes that I was eating or waiting for my food. This is not the first time I have tried to go to this establishment, but it is the first successful time I have been able to be seated and eat my food. My partner and I decided to go at about 1:15 on a Monday afternoon, & I believe that is why we were able to be seated without a wait time. In the past I have tried to go on a Saturday at about 10 a.m., but the wait was extravagant and I decided to move on. Even though it was the afternoon on a Monday the business was still pretty full and even though they were about to close people were still coming in so it’s generally probably very busy and expect a wait time if you are planning to go. Moving on to the service, we were greeted when we entered and we were seated promptly. The wait staff was very friendly they were very attentive and I have no complaints or issues on this front. Moving on to the food I ordered the grits with smoked gouda cheese and one sunny side up egg. This is normally what I get when I go to any kind of breakfast establishment and it’s one of my favorite meals. I would say this is probably the best grits I have ever had in my entire life and I am very impressed with the taste of the food. My partner ordered the migas and he found it to be sublime, he also ordered a side of bacon. The bacon was over priced at $ 2 per strip of bacon. While I am sure it is very high quality bacon and he assures me that it tasted very good that is, frankly, just an extravagant price to pay for two thin slices of meat. My partner also ordered a coffee and we both found it to be very bitter and not to our liking, however that is subjective and some may prefer their coffee this way. All in all I would say that the seven mile café is worth the wait and possibly the best breakfast location in Denton but I have ever eaten at. I look forward to going back, but I hope in the future that they can make the establishment more comfortable temperature wise and keep things cleaner.
