I’ve taken two bikes to Sprockets recently and was very pleased with the service both times. First, I took my mountain bike in for service, since it was pretty beaten up and had been sitting for way too long. They went well beyond what I expected them to do, and now it’s riding better than it ever has. I had an issue with it when I initially picked it up because of another broken part, but the staff(a taller guy with really short hair — didn’t catch his name), was happy to fix it while I waited. After that, I took my wife’s cruiser in there for a tune up, and it’s riding great now as well. Both times, I paid less than I expected and found the staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My only concern is that they’ve got too many gorgeous vintage road bikes in the showroom, and I know one of these days I’m going to walk out of there spending way more than I need to on some amazing Italian racing bike that I totally don’t need but want really bad. Seriously, though — these are good people who do good work. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have used these guys for several years now and I’m kind of ashamed I haven’t left a review before now because they are a super bike shop. I like to buy old classic, vintage road bikes and convert them to upright type city bikes, lightweight, fast and easy to ride. They have no problem working on old, vintage bikes. I bring them stuff to do for me and they are ALWAYS more than reasonable on pricing. Most recently I had a bike that I upgraded the shifters and brake levers and needed them to hook up the existing cables and make sure everything worked properly as it had indexed derailleurs. They called me the NEXT day to tell me it was ready and when I asked what the damage was, Brandon said $ 10. WTH, $ 10 ?!? you gotta be kidding! The way I found these guys was I had an old Diamondback hybrid bike and called the closest bike shop to me, near Savannah, Little Elm, Paloma Creek area and they said because it was a «department store» bike(it wasn’t) they would have to do a complete tuneup for $ 100. All I needed was new brake/shifter cables. Did a Google search and found these guys. They did the job for $ 40($ 10 per cable, measured, cut, new casing, all hooked up), MORE than reasonable. For a long time they only sold refurbished used bikes but now they are carrying a very well respected line of fixed gear /single speed bikes called«PureFix». Eventually I’m going to look at one as I’ve never ridden a «fixie» or just a plain single speed bike and they look like they would be a lot of fun. BTW, I’m a 59 year old kid who LOVES to ride bikes, makes me feel like a kid ;). I am a road salesman and travel 50k miles per year and I take my bike with me. I spend a lot of time in Houston, great place to ride, especially near Memorial Park. Point is Houston doesn’t have a jewel of a bike shop like we have here in Denton. Now, I’m off to Sprockets to collect my cash for this review… just kidding.

Sprockets is by far the most unique bicycle shop I’ve been to! All of the staff is very helpful and passionate about bikes. The bikes are priced at a reasonable price and the decoration is spectacular!

I brought a friend of mine here to look for his first bike a few weeks ago, and just wanted to report that the people who work here are tremendously helpful and kind. Thank you!

I have grown to like this shop the more time I spend here. The guys are helpful and the service prices are reasonable. Bikes have just become so expensive in general. I would recommend these guys to anyone needing service.
