They moved me in with three other roommates that I thought might be ok I could tell we probably weren’t going to be compatible but I gave it a try. Well, I went out of town one weekend so I locked my door, and one of the roommates got mad I threw food out that was left out all night in my pan. So he broke my door down and stole my tv. I called the cops and told uptown. The only options were for ME to keep paying rent till I found someone to take over my lease or press charges on the guy that did it but live with his friends. They were his friends! How do you think they would have treated me after getting one of their friends kicked out? So I had to drop the charges just so that he could live there so his friends wouldn’t be mad at me. But how safe do you think I feel at the moment living with someone that could just knock my door down at any moment??? And while all this was going on he was still living in the apartment!!! That’s like if burglar broke into your home and stole things you own and he was caught. But they still made you live with him. How stupid are these apartments?! Pretty stupid. But they These apartments don’t care about your safety all they want is your money. How hard would it have been to just cancel my lease?! Not hard. This place is greedy and ghetto and I’m not please with it the only reason I gave it one star is because I had to in order to write a review. Oh and I’m summiting this to the news paper so they can let more people know

Management was decent when I first moved in; at least they handled my problems or at least tried. I’ve lived here not even a year. I moved in because someone decided to break their lease and so I went in, fulfilling the rest of the lease. My room wasn’t cleaned whatsoever from previous tenant OR management. There was still trash left behind from previous tenant at move-in. HOWEVER, I did sign an «as is» contract agreeing to accepting the room as is because I was in a rush to find a place and move in. I have a 80 lbs yellow lab and was even offering to pay EXTRA just to keep him but their«strict weight restriction» didn’t allow him so I ended up having to leave him with my boyfriend at his place. Throughout the couple months that I DID stay there, I’ve seen German Shepherds AND Pitbulls being walked around the complex. Yet, they have a «strict» breed and weight restriction. SUREBUDDY. To be honest, I was hardly ever even there! I paid rent on time each month, no problems. I paid months worth of rent for a place I didn’t even live in. But that was my decision. I know. HOWEVER, I MUST put my foot down now. My contract ended with them August 7th, 2015 and I’m so super thrilled I’m out of this SHITHOLE of an apartment. I don’t know how they’re running their management staff whatsoever. Roommates submitted SEVERAL maintenance requests due to our leaking washer. Maintenance supposedly fixed it several times and yet, our washer was still leaking. I went to the apartment to move whatever was left at my house to my new apartment and come to find out… I’VEBEENGROWINGMOLDONTHEWALLSOFMYCLOSET!!! After several maintenance requests with our broken washer and them refusing to replace it or get it permanently repaired, it concluded with mold all over my closet wall. I’ve also forgot to mention that the entire time I was there, our apartment reeked as if a dead animal was hidden somewhere. The foul odor never went away. Walls are stupid thin; kinda annoying and awkward having to hear my neighbors having sex all the time. Keys were due at noon sometime earlier this week, I don’t remember what day. I work two jobs. I never really lived there to begin with. The day my key was supposed to be turned it, I was at work and would not be out until late so I asked my brother to drop it off for me. Now they’re charging me $ 75 dollars because I didn’t turn my key in before noon. I didn’t even know I had a time frame until now! It’s not like I DIDN’T turn in the key; it was a few hours late. I called and spoke with a Ben to try to see if there was something we could work out but he refused to work with me. Didn’t even take a second to think about it. They threw away a couple keys I accidentally left behind and haven’t even apologized. They haven’t bothered apologizing for the MOLD that grew on my wall. Awesome property manager. I’m furious. I’m angry. I’m annoyed. I’m TIRED. I’m tired of all the crap I had to deal with while living in such a crap apartment. I wish I would have taken their terrible reviews seriously and not even wasted my time here. Save your time and hard-earned money and live elsewhere.

Didn’t mind the apartment itself. Staff? FORGETIT!– Leasing Manager is money hungry. They will ROBYOU in move-out fees. So unless you plan on dying in Uptown, expect your wallet to as soon as you turn in your keys. Charged my sister $ 200 to REPLACE the ENTIRE carpet for a stain the size of my hand claiming it «could not be removed». Too bad the picture of this super stain they sent to me is SO faint you can hardly see it. I requested a copy of the quote from the professional cleaner used to clean the super stain, stating that it «couldn’t be removed» and they couldn’t provide one. Couldn’t even prove the photo of the stain was in fact from the living room the other tenants and my sister resided in. Funny how we never saw it. AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS! Even requested someone to do a walk-through with her upon moving out, but it was declined. I now realize that they declined because they didn’t want to miss an opportunity to STEALMOREMONEY! Oh yea, and they charged $ 50 for leaving a curtain rod.– REALLY?! AVOIDTHEHEADACHEANDHEADTOTHEBADREVIEWS! NEVERHADMOVE-OUTFEESBEFOREUNTILUPTOWN! RUNRUNAWAY!
