This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a Waffle House. From the moment we walked in every booth was dirty,(like no exaggeration, every booth was dirty), so we sat on the bar instead. We sat at the bar for literally 30 minutes, and the only interaction we got was from one of the cooks who gave us silverware and told us that someone would be there«in a minute». We decided to be super patient, because we understand the server struggle. But 30 minutes was way too long. Meanwhile, A couple walked in probably about 20 minutes after us. They waited maybe two minutes before they were greeted, served drinks, and got there food order. Apparently, the lady that got them was supposed to be our server as well, but I guess she didn’t get the memo. This was the first time I ever Had bad service at a waffle house, in which case I don’t expect much from. Eventually we just got up and left with no drinks no food and no service. We will never be coming back to this waffle house again. And I recommend that no one else does either, unless you were that couple that got served before us. Is zero stars even a thing? Might I suggest the Waffle House in Lewisville or IHOP by UNT?

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. I think you have to be a little off your rocker to work here. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and absolutely nobody cares. If your drunk at 2:00AM and it’s the only thing open, you probably wouldn’t care. Try Café Brazil or Old West instead. They WANT your business and the food is better.

To paraphrase Dame Maggie Smith, slop is so unmusical a word. This location hit all the wrong notes with a sledgehammer. Over and over. Unfortunately, every seat has a horrifying view of the food prep area, which was a wreck. The waffle batter — which should be thin enough to pour — was so «thick» it could have been thrown down with a trowel. The waffle iron didn’t even close. No surprise the result was raw in the middle and fell apart on the way to the plate. I thought he would throw it away, but he served it. The biscuits were greasy. I don’t even know how they make that happen. The soft scrambled eggs were rubber. There were easily ten people in the cooking area behind the counter and all of them were shouting at the top of their lungs to each other about their lives in general. The whole experience was like watching a drunk trying to cross an icy street. And it was packed with happy diners. Who are these people? Never again.

It’s Waffle House. Your typical old school breakfast diner spot. For the price, food was good and super quick. Always fun watching them making it right next to you at the counter…

It’s 6am. There is one other customer waiting for a take out order when I walk in. There are 2 tables waiting to be bussed. I am not greeted by any employee as I enter and take a seat. 2⁄5 employees present promptly walk outside to talk to each other. Another begins to follow until I clear my throat, and then he turns back to help me(I’m seated and waiting for service at this point). I already know what I want and proceed to order. The food comes out reasonably fast, and it’s as good as Waffle House food can be. From this point on, no one asks me how I’m doing(not that they did in the first place) or if I need anything. I finish all of my meal except my waffle, and neatly stack the dishes on the other side of the table. One employee notices this, and asks if I’m waiting for my check. I say yes, and that I would also like a to go container and syrup packages for my waffle. He brings me the container and syrup. I wait. I then inquire about my check. The same employee points it out, placed discreetly over the napkin holder, and says, «it’s right there, the same place it’s been since I brought you your waffle.» Okay? So you couldn’t have pointed it out to me before? Instead you choose to attempt to make me out to be an idiot? REALLY? I have never been so absolutely disgusted by the service I received in any establishment as this. I know it’s only Waffle House but come on! I shouldn’t have to basically beg for service and then be treated like an idiot because I didn’t see you slip me my check with the last item of my order like I’m in a speak-easy. Not to mention there were 3 people that entered while I was eating who were greeted and immediately served who appeared to be regulars. I’m not good enough because you don’t know me? They’re getting 2 stars solely because the food was good. I’d recommend going to IHOP, the servers there are usually pretty nice and well mannered… and know how to do their job.

Just had a wonderful meal at Waffle House #467! We have traveled all over and have eaten at many Waffle Houses! This one is at the top of our list! Manager, Cook and Crew were totally AWESOME!!! My husband enjoyed his meal so much that Brian prepared because it was perfectly cooked and hot when it got to the table! Wish we had these in West Texas

I went to the Waffle House on 1÷11÷14 around 9:30 am for breakfast. When I arrived there was a party of 3 waiting who got seated fairly quickly. I was next in line. Two men came in and then a party of 3 came in. A guy came out from the back and came over and asked how many were in our party. He should have been asking who was first, second and third. When the next booth became available, he motioned to me that there was an open space and it was at a extra small table at the end of the counter with another man. I told him I did not want to sit with someone I did not know. He then proceeded to call the two men over to the booth. The men jumped up and went over to the booth in lieu of telling him I was first so I was aggravated with them plus being treated like crap from this dude. I must say it was their lucky day that I did not go off on all of them and make a scene; however, I got up and left and will never go to another Waffle House. Watch out — they discriminate against senior citizens eating alone. Most places where I eat are first come first serve which is what it should be here. RUDEEMPLOYEES!

This place was a gross disappointment. We went in, and, in 10 minutes got a seat. It’s a small dive grill. Usually places like this will dish out some dang good food. After reading all the great reviews from the locals, we were excited! The overwhelming smell of blueberry waffles was orgasmic! We ordered coffee, which was meh at best. I ordered one of the specials which was two eggs, toast, hashbrowns, waffle, and, choice of ham, bacon, or, sausage. I asked for eggs over easy, limp cooked bacon(not crispy), substitute biscuit and sausage gravy for the toast. Hubby ordered pretty much the same thing, but, wanted his eggs over medium, with sausage, scratch the waffle, substitute biscuit and gravy. It took forever to get the food. I know of four popular was to fry up eggs, besides scrambled. Poached, over easy, over medium, or, over hard. His eggs came out over easy, and, mine were over hard. The hashbrowns were very dry and unimpressive. My bacon was fried over crispy. I never did get the waffle, and, the waitress told us she wasn’t gonna serve the gravy because it had turned to water! My suggestion to you is to avoid this place at all cost! It cost us one hour of our time, and, $ 17!!! That was after we had to argue to get our bill compensated for the items we didn’t receive. N to the A to the S to the T to the Y! NASTY!!!

I call it the UNT waffle house. There’s no yellow or orange. Everything’s just green. The food’s great. It’s cheap and the portions are surprisingly beefy. Twenty bucks will feed 2 – 3 people. It’s gone non-smoking now, so there’s no cigarette stink. The counters and tables are kept clean. Everyone’s friendly. What more could you want?

I love THIS Waffle House. I don’t care what anyone says about WH, I love WH. And maybe I love WH cuz of this WH. The host and wait staff are friendly and if we need to wait for a table we just grab a coffee and seat in the wait line. Okay, so sometimes you see a few characters. Just order your waffle with pecans and look away.

There are several of these resturants in range of a short drive, this is the worst of the bunch… if you like eating out of an ash tray this place is for you… smokers, come on down… non-smokers beware… it stinks here! Ruins the food experience… won’t be back again.

Best waffles around. The hashbrowns«covered» & «chunked» are also a fav of mine(cheese and diced grilled ham). Good service. My only complaint is they need new cups! The plastic ones are chipped around the edges but I usually get the chocolate milk and drink from the carton so no big deal ;-)

Never thought I’d be giving Waffle House 4 stars, but they deserve it. Waffle House is soo underrated. I decided to try it for the first time two weeks ago, and I’ve gone five times since. Their waffles are delicious, and they made me crave hashbrowns. Their hashbrowns with chili and cheese are AMAZING. I would choose Waffle House over IHOP any day.

Well. if you’re tipsy it’s wonderful. The jukebox steals your quarters and the waffles are great(surprise!).

I stopped here on my way back from Winstar. My typical Central/North Texas experience with Waffle House has unfortunately been the servers chugging cough syrup or looking like they are on a fix of some sort… not to mention me usually getting sick off the food within 2 hours of consumption. I stopped at this little place 1 in the morning and it was amazing! The staff was really nice and really normal. They were really nice and chatty! It was clean, active, and the food was great. I didn’t go home and get sick everywhere for once. They obviously are maintaining the facility and their food handling procedures appropriately. This is probably one of the only Waffle Houses I’ll consider eating at ever again in the area.

We stopped here on our way back from Winstar. It was about 4:30 in the am. Food was fresh, tasty and coffee could have taken it intraveniously, if they offered it that way, but alas, they didn’t. The crowd was mostly college aged kids, close to UNT. I would recommend this place any time and day of the week. Go Pecan waffles with Crispy bacon.

So I really enjoy going to waffle house since its right by my apartment at 2 in the morning. On the outside it looks like this tiny sometimes run down place that people eat at. Which isn’t entirely false. Every time I’ve been here I always come back with a new story, met someone new or just a combination of the two. Walking into this place you are going to be greeted loudly over the hussle and bussle of the people who are eating and you can sit wherever there’s room. Pro: The best time to go to this particular waffle house is during the 3rd shift, and if you aren’t familiar with shift’s then its going to be from 9pm-5 in the morning… something like that. Epically for college students 24hr joints are hard to come by. The food is good, it comes fast and the service is good. and if you sit near the window its possible to catch the wifi from the hotel across the street. Con– The only bad thing I have to say is that since it is a diner and the food comes to your fast, the fat that is on the griddle isn’t cleaned off which in turn makes the food taste all the better. However if you feel that your stomach won’t be able to handle it I would recommend that you stay away from the hash browns… they are my weakness at waffle.

3am runs to Waffle House. I still love it. Since Waffle House is a chain, people often say that the quality of food is hit & miss pending on locations– thank goodness I haven’t hit any rough spots yet! On my most recent visit, the bf and I went to the Denton location after a late night out about the town. We both ordered All-Star with 2 eggs, a sausage & bacon, waffle, and a subsitution of grits to hashbrowns(extra crispy for me please). I love the consistency of the meals I enjoy at the tiny ol’ Waffle Houses, and I’ve never been disappointed with the waitresses quirky and spunky attitudes. I don’t think I’ve ever tried any of the other meals here, so basically I’m vouching for the All-Star, delicious(and scattered available) hashbrowns, as well as the waffles! Oh Waffle House, how I love thee. I’d take you over IHOP any day!
