There are few places in Denton that truly exemplify what authentic Mexican food is. Tacos San Pedro is the perfect example of eating in a restaurant that makes you feel you are in Mexico. The restaurant looks beautiful in the inside and is very spacious(something most great Mexican restaurant struggle with, here in Denton.)It definitely reminded me of my small Mexican Hometown. The Horchata was to die for and the Burrito Mojado reminded my taste buds of home. The prices are very affordable, although it’s sad to see that some meats aren’t more affordable than others. Paying 2 dollars and change for a taco is a little too pricy for me. Thankfully they have a lot of options to choose from that are sure to give you your money’s worth. The service at Tacos San Pedro was great and it extended all the way from the cash register to the cooks(one of the cooks was walking past us and asked if everything was okay, my dad told him that everything was extremly well made and that he was craving a Tripa Taco right after he had finished his meal. The cook smiled and asked how my dad liked it made. My dad truly enjoyed that taco and went the next day to get some more). The staff truly wanted us to be satisfied and talked about their background. They were very friendly and personal. They are the epitome of what a great family restaurant is.

Good food. Efficient staff and great prices. Needs some work on their salsas!!! Recommended to my friends and family. The beef flautas are incredible. Will be back often!

Being from west Texas and growing up in a Mexican household, this place is the closest I can get to the home cooked meals I grew up with. I ordered the torta de milanesa with a side of rice. The milanesa was cooked to perfection & tasted amazing! The rice was delicious & reminded me of my mom’s rice. The salsa verde was pleasantly spicy as well. I was so pleased, I ended up ordering another torta to-go to have for lunch the next day. Lol. This place is the real deal. It looks slightly sketchy on the outside, but that just means that it’s a real hole in the wall. Looking forward to my next visit!

This place really surprised me. I was expecting another generic Tex-mex place, but what I found was delicious Mexican food. The restaurant was very clean and all the employees were friendly. I had the Cubana Torta, which was the best one I’ve had in Denton. My wife had the carnita Gordita, which was huge and delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food they are serving. I highly recommend this restaurant for very casual Mexican food dining.

I had the enchilada plate. Stay away. Stay far away. Who puts lettuce and tomato on top of enchiladas in place of a sauce? His place is disgusting. I will not be back. The beans and rice were serviceable at best.

Pictures and food resemble each other but… I won’t be back. Much better choice in Denton other than this place.

Authentic good Mexican food. Friendly staff. The family who runs it moved from California, remodeled the sonic that used to be here, and opened up this restaurant. After a co-worker who is picky since she cooks everything from scratch herself recommend it I decided to try it out. It just opened not too long ago(maybe a month ago). I will definitely go back and look forward to trying more things. So far so good. Their rice and beans are good and meat was tender. They served my huarache with two salsas: a red and a green one. I preferred the green one. Go try it!
