Worst experience of my life and I mean WORST. I’ll make this short because if I wrote everything that happened, this would take forever. I will try to go in the order the events occurred:
I told Alex what color of brown lowlights I wanted and he refused to do it. He then TOLD me what color he will put in and it was completely different than what I had requested. I argued saying this is what I wanted and even showed him a picture of me with the color in. He then asked, «Where are you from?» I said, «Westminster.» He replies, «Well, do you you want to look Westminster or do you want to look Cherry Creek!?» I was extremely offended.
I told him I would like to keep this around $ 170. Alex asked how I would be paying today and I told him with a gift certificate that was a gift for me for Christmas. He asked to see it and totally freaked out and said he WOULD NOT accept it even though he did say it was for him and his salon! After this blowout, he said «and I’m assuming you don’t have any money to pay for this???» Again, I was appalled.
This was a Saturday appointment and when he declined to accept the certificate, he slammed his tools down and yelled, «there goes my Saturday! It’s ruined now!!!» I was so embarrassed.
So much more happened and I’m kicking myself for not disrespecting him as he did me. I was speechless with his attitude and awful comments that I just sat there in disbelief the whole time this was going down. To top it off, there was no parking so I had to park 4 blocks away in the snow and whe I walked in he said that was only 2 hour parking so I would have to walk back to my car, in the middle of the color service, to move it.
Do not go to this guy. He’s a piece of shit and I have no idea how he has a job. I did get a bad feeling when I made my appointment with him because it was a high end salon and a Saturday and the only appointments he had were me and and infant haircut the entire day… it is now 6 months later and I am still so pissed off. I told everyone I know to never go to this guy and now I am writing this review.
I hope you see this Alex… karma’s a bitch.

Started going to Alex a little under a year ago when I moved to Denver, and he is fantastic! I found him here on Unilocal and went for it, and now he’s my go-​to. I have a very short women’s haircut, which can be tricky with some stylists, but he’s on point. Very friendly and he makes sure to do what you want.
He also is not pushy at all to buy products which I really like, however he is very helpful if you do want to buy products from him (which I have). Payment is super easy, and I loveee how you can schedule an appointment through
(love the convenience of stuff like that). I would (and have) recommend him to anyone!

I have known Alex for 5 years, during that time I have utilized, recommended and referred his services without a single concern. The notion that he is a racist is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard. Furthermore, Alex has been cutting and styling my 15 year old son’s hair since he joined his new salon in Cherry Creek. The experience is always top notch, professional and entertaining. Alex consistently gives his clients the time, attention and care they deserve. If you are looking for a new stylist, with a great personality, that will treat you well, give you a great cut/​color/​style and operates out of a great salon give Alex a try… you will not be disappointed.

I am the kind of person that has completely unmanageable hair. Its thick, frizzy, and goes in just about every direction possible. Ive been to many hair «stylists» but have always ended up with the same olé’ shit time after time.
I went into Alex’s salon and basically just said «Give me something different!» Alex took that and ran with it giving me the coolest haircut I have had in years! He is incredibly creative and talented and always looking to what he can do next to give his clients a world class look. Needless to say I was very happy with my new look and he made me feel very comfortable with it. I have gotten so many compliments and I will continue to see Alex for future cuts!
Alex is such a great guy and I highly recommend to anyone looking to revamp their style… or just a great stylist to sit with to GET UR HAIR DID!
Try him out he wont disappoint!

I have gone to Alex for almost 8 years. He truly cares about how you feel when you leave the salon. He is very good with color and especially good with long hair. I highly recommend Alex and will always go to him! I would not trust my hair to anyone else!

Would stay away from this wanna be «badass hairstylist». I could go on for hours about Alex’s unprofessionalism when it comes to his clients. The last one was this past Tuesday when I had one appt. for two haircuts, scheduled for over one week already. On the way to the salon with my nephew I get an email from Alex stating that he won’t cut my nephews hair w/​o an appt. Ok so I told him that he is very unprofessional and that I will never have him as my hairstylist, since he is telling me this when I was on my way to the salon. I was using his services for over year and half. Anyways to make this short, I got a message from him saying that I am «foreign prick» and that my nephew is a «cry baby». I guess he was hurt by the reality that he is unprofessional so he started being racist too.
I would not use him as your stylist, he doesn’t appreciate that you are paying his bills.
I got the feeling that he thinks that he is that good that he can treat you like sh** and you will put up with it, not when there is so many great stylist around :)
Anyways, time will show how professional he is if you use him. Good luck to all of you !

Found Alex when I couldn’t get in with my regular stylist. He’s super friendly and I like that he listens to what I want or what I’m looking for. Big kudos when he came in on day off to give me a cut prior to going on vacation and couldn’t make it in on his schedule before leaving on trip. That instance won me over, main reason for leaving my old stylist was difficult scheduling. Only negative is the salon is in Cherry Creek and parking can be a hassle but that’s not his fault. Would recommend him to friends and family.

I was visiting my daughter and decided on a whim to have my hair cut. Having short hair yet feeling it was too weighted and lacking style, I used Unilocal to help find a stylist in the Cherry Creek area. Alex was very accommodating with my schedule and worked me in. It has been years since I have such a great experience. He took time to talk with me regarding my style and color desires and I walked out feeling like a brand new woman. He gave me an amazing razor cut that allows some flexibility in styling even my short hair. I love it!!!
I would recommend Alex to anyone… he is great! I may have to take a trip back to Denver next month!

Alex has been cutting my hair for years, he is amazing with cuts and color. I have followed him to his new salon. Over the years I have had long hair and bobs. I always get compliments from complete strangers (and friends) after I get it done. The color is long lasting. Believe me my sister and I have tried other stylists because we live in the burbs but always come back to the best!

Love Alex! I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Alex for seven years now. He knows exactly how to make you walk out the door feeling amazing about your new ‘do. I have fine hair, but a lot of it — and he is extremely good at cutting it the right way to take a lot of the bulk out and making it feel light and bouncy. I have had him do all over colors as well as highlights on my hair, and both ways come out beautiful. Never streaky or dull. Not to mention how fun Alex is — I always find myself laughing throughout my appointment, which is always nice when you have to sit in a chair for a while. Highly recommend!

I have been getting my hair cut by Alex for awhile now. He is so good at what he does that I am able to just sit down and get a cut without having to tell him what I want. My head was buzzed for years, and Alex was super patient with my growing it out and being all over the place with where I wanted to take it. He’s quick, efficient and friendly. Great pricing too for the detail he gives. I have fairly curly hair and he has no issues with it at all. Definitely give him a try!

I can’t remember how exactly I happened to find Alex, but I’m sure glad I did! Alex is current, insightful, and precise — a hard to beat combination. His craft has clearly been carefully developed and I have loved every cut he has given me — I go for a minimally weighted bob with little bangs that he nails every time — always modern and chic. He also cuts the picky boyfriend’s hair and he loves him too.

I have reviewed Alex before but I couldn’t resist reviewing him again. I had my hair cut and colored this past week and per usual, it was great. I wanted to do my hair ombré for the summer and Alex did a great job. It turned out perfect. He was his creative usual self and did a great job. I love knowing that I can go to my hair salon with whatever crazy idea I have come up with and trust that Alex can get it done. Thanks buddy!

Alex is always entertaining, and does a great Men’s cut. I met Alex through my wife, as he colors her hair (dark color). I would recommend Alex, and am happy to have him in Cherry Creek North.

Alex spotted my «Pamela Anderson, too blonde» hair from a mile away (this usually isn’t a good thing) and had instant ideas for me, which is what you want in a stylist, over cutting out pictures in a magazine of people that look nothing like you, and have completely opposite hair types than you. I gave him a go, and haven’t gone back to Aveda for 3 years. The meticulous foils he wraps into my hair are a masterpiece in their own right! And you’ll laugh and drink wine all while he beautifies you… it’s a perfect recipe for anyone!

Deadly handsome Alex is a master of hair design… you will love the results as well as the fun conversation & hi-​jinx while he makes you gorgeous!!!
