This shop has a great variety of antiques and the staff seemed friendly. My only complaint is that it is not always opened during its proclaimed business hours. I drove across town to come here and it was closed, so make sure you call before you do the same thing.

We took an antique dresser, mirror, and buffet in to sell on consignment. Didn’t hear from them for around 10 weeks. Dropped by to check on the status, and my items were gone. The owner Jack said that they didn’t sell for 30 – 40 days, so he sent them to Goodwill. After a 10 minute discussion, he changed the story and said he sent them to ARC. He never asked us if he could do that, he never told us when we left the items that there would be a time limit, all he would have to have done, was give us a quick phone call. Those items did not belong to him, they belonged to us. If we would have wanted to donate them, we would have done that. He was oddly defiant. He didn’t see the need to explain his actions or apologize. I got the feeling that he does this all the time. He told us this was just regular consignment behavior, but afterward I researched it on Google, and of course, he’s dead wrong. I wonder if other consignors have had the same experience. What if the items are really sold, and he doesn’t want to pay the owners? If he truly donated them, then where’s the receipt for our taxes for charitable deduction? This business is shady to say the least. I would not recommend anyone doing business with them.
