Argonant Groceries

This is a nice little store. More of a convenience store than a grocery, but they do sell a small assortment of produce — usually potatoes, onions, garlic and a fruit or two. The staff is especially friendly and they have a solid assortment of the usual drinks, snacks and ice cream. My first choice in the area if I need any of these items.

Every single time I walk into this little store I am greeted warmly and with a smile :-) For a convenience store right in the middle of the city this place has personality. It’s not nearly as scary as some of the stores down Colfax.
As one would expect you can get nice snack/​lunch items here during the workday. It’s close and easy and the staff is polite! Sometimes it can be warm on the inside but the building is old. I like that they have huge fans circulating air throughout the store.
I think the minimum purchase for using a credit/​debit card is $ 3. Not too bad for when you’re clothing rich and cash poor. Once you get passed any riff-​raff hanging around outside waiting for the 15 bus you’re good to go!
