— Our group tried 4 cocktails(~$ 12 each) and they were all fantastic — Lots of care and craft, for example, one of their cocktails includes brown butter mixed with whiskey for 2 days, then frozen so the fat solids can be removed and all that’s left is a smoother and richer whiskey — Attentive and friendly staff — Cozy and has a good scene, but not too noisy, even on a Friday night. — They serve food! A good assortment of high quality snacks and small meals

Pretty cool place. Had a drink that was on their summer menu, but they were willing to make it for me anyway. Also had one of their baked pasta’s which was also good. Liked the look of the place and it was pretty quiet on a weekday night. The staff was really friendly. Definitely going back soon.

This is my second time at bar fausto. Upon arrival, Adam greeted us with gusto. Surprise, James suggested that I go with the #21. Darren, whose mustache is alluring and Mario bros like alluded to his stache being taped on due to his lack of upper lip. The bathroom is very fast. I knew right away this would be a place that had hooks for my purse on their custom bar. They make their drinks in 1000mL beaker. While this makes the art of bartending a science, more and more places do this, and it gives this place a social status. Our drinks took an abnormally long time to get, but that chemistry and effort into the #21 made it all worth it. I will definitely be back again.

Overrated. Underwhelmed. With the amount of positive press and reviews and having seen Bar Fausto on numerous ‘best of’ lists I was really expecting something positive and unique. For a bar supposedly renowned for their craft cocktails, they just don’t deliver. To establish a baseline I’ve tried a few of their cocktails and given the number of great bars in Denver I was not impressed. Sure, if you live nearby or happen to be in the area it will do in a pinch but I certainly don’t see what all the hype is about and I won’t go out of my way to go back. The atmosphere is sparse and austere and not very comfortable(the booth seats are flat and very uncomfortable and the table lights in the booths are too bright and intrusive). Much of the décor looks like it was thrown together on the cheap and the sound system was laughable. One positive was the bruschetta. As mentioned elsewhere, the bruschetta was excellent and the one standout. The olives were nice but I would suggest at least providing forks and plates with olives so that guests don’t all have to dip their fingers in the olive bowl… Bar Fausto has a long way to go to deserve a place on any ‘best of’ list in Denver and to be honest without some changes I see them fading away as the buzz wears off.

Very inventive cocktails, good food options, cool atmosphere. I wish I could start every night with the Combination Board and a Vieux Carre.

So glad to have Fausto in the neighborhood. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is divine. I cannot recommend the meat and cheese plate enough. So good and the portion is very generous. I also love the rotating cocktail and bruschetta selection although their drinks are pretty pricey. That’s what you can expect at a craft cocktail bar, I guess.

As a cheesemonger I have high standards for charcuterie boards. Bar Fausto has one of the best in town. I’ve had the combo board twice now. Each time there have been different cheeses, meats, spreads, etc. They also have a great happy hour bruschetta. Creative and delicious. They make their own tonic for their happy hour gin or bourbon and tonic, but their specialty cocktail menu is where it’s at(unfortunately not on the happy hour menu). Staff is pleasant and atmosphere relaxing.

Bar Fausto was on our pre-trip research list — and we’re so happy we made it. Let’s get the bad out of the way first: the location means a drive(for an out-of-towner), the room’s a bit boring, and the manager only really wants to help the cute girls. Everything else is fantastic. Our server was absolutely charming. The drinks were great, both the«classics» and the bar specials. But the topper was the food — it’s amazing. We didn’t have that many dishes — but each one was delicious. If we lived here, this would be our place.

Six of us decided to grab some drinks before dinner across the street at The Populist. The ambiance is modern, casual but friendly. There was a good mix of casual dressers to those dressed for a night out. Our waiter greeted us promptly and was very helpful. The cocktail menu was great — very creative with no pretentious hipster attitude. We missed the Happy Hour but that menu looked to be a great reason to return. A good addition to Five Pounts’ bar scene for sure!

This place is amazing. I love the atmosphere. The drinks are amazing, and the food is just as good. The first time I went there, we just had the peach bruschetta and drinks. The #4 is an amazing bourbon drunk and the #12 is a spicy tequila drunk. Both awesome. Went back again and ordered the speck sandwich. Absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back to have it again. Also, I have tried 3 different bruschettas there. All were delicious. Definitely get in here and try it all. You won’t be disappointed.

A decent place with a hipster vibe and what the hell… Schlitz beer. Give this place a try!

I hate to post because it will be ruining somewhat of a hidden gem for me… but I do love this place very much. It’s nondescript from the outside(maybe intentional?) but when you walk in the space opens up. On a Friday night it was definitely buzzing but not too terribly crowded. The service here is outstanding. The gentleman who waited on us was so attentive and knowledgable it did blow me away. Definitely a new favorite spot. Good job bar fausto.

This place is such a great addition to Larimer! The cocktails are amazing and well worth the price as not only are they delicious(and strong) but they’re served by the nicest bartenders! I have lately been feeling intimidated on Larimer with all the«hip» folks and figured I’d get the same vibes here — I was wrong! So glad we gave this place a try. The owners are the oh so great and the food was everything I wanted it to be. It does get crowded but don’t let it stop you from squeezing in!

Sometimes life calls for a mid-week happy hour. Today, Bar Fausto was pleased to provide just what we needed! This is a small(but not too small), locally owned place in an area of town where more and more good things are happening. It has a hipster feel, but it’s quiet enough to easily have a conversation. The décor is a mix of ikea-type furnishings, punk rock bathrooms, and old school bowling alley stripes on the wall. Oddly enough, it works! If you are wondering about the name, as I was, Fausto is an Italian bicyclist. There isn’t really a bicycle theme going on, though, but who cares. The drinks are great. I tried our waitress’s favorite happy hour drink, the CioCiaro. It’s likely to become my favorite, too. My friend who had the gin and house-made tonic raved about it. And the tomatoes on the bruschetta were so flavorful it was hard to believe they were real. Overall a solid find, and sure to attract a crowd!

Boring. prices are high, some bartenders are stick in the muds, and nothing exciting about the décor. I have visited two times… two times too many. Thanks, but no thanks.

Stopped by Saturday evening after a concert and had such a lovely time. I am very excited to welcome Bar Fausto to the RiNo neighborhood. Such an awesome place. I felt like I landed in the middle of an episode of Portlandia with all the ‘staches and mixologying going on in this joint. We sat at the bar and got to watch the bartender make some pretty crazy concoctions. I settled on the #9 which consisted of Plantation Rum, Smith & Cross Rum, Carpano Anitica, Rammazatti, Orange Bitters, and Barrel Aged Underberg. It is so uncommon to see a drink focusing on the characters of rum. Typically it is so much about the mixers. Not this drink. It truly focused on the delicious vanilla, oaky flavors of the rum. God, it was good. Rum is underrated. This cocktail was better than anything I’ve ever had at Williams & Graham or Green Russell. The food menu is pretty small and focuses on smaller plates. Everything sounded delicious though. I opted for the Tomato, Basil, House Made Ricotta Bruschetta. The ricotta was so fresh and burrata like. It was superb. Next time, I will be trying the oysters and charcuterie as well, as they looked divine as they came out of the kitchen. I look forward to visiting Bar Fausto again soon and trying more of their delicious cocktails and food!

When the word gets out, Fausto will be mentioned in the same breath as Denver’s other great cocktail bars. Fausto adds a nicely curated fresh menu that enhances its boozy mission without getting in the way. First, if you’re a fan of whiskey or amari, this is THE place for you. I’m not easily impressed by a bar’s bottle collection, but Fausto is exceptional. Next, their seasonal cocktails are simply ordered by number. I like that they focus on the flavor without needing to put much thought into a clever name. Their seasonal cocktail menu also provided glass icons next to each cocktail, so you know if it’s served in an old fashioned glass, martini glass, coupe glass or highball. What a great subtle detail that demonstrates the thought that went into Fausto. Thumbs up! If you want something more traditional, they have a strong list of classic cocktails also. Fausto has nice happy hour specials on a good assortment of drinks and eats, so it certainly is a nice place to come early. It’s also a great place to end the evening thanks to its digestifs, and the amazing Fernet Branca soft serve ice cream! I wish I could end every meal with a small dish of that.

It’s a new place, so rather than go with something unusual, I decided to test Bar Fausto with an old standard. I ordered a Manhattan. It was a very good Manhattan. If size matters to you, I’ll let you know that it was a generous Manhattan. The glassware was cool. My husband declared his cocktail(one of the numbered specials – #9) the best drink he’s had since we moved back to Colorado two years ago. That’s high praise, because we’ve had some really great cocktails in Denver. We took note of the drink for the future; they’ll change the specials(adding new numbers) but will keep them on record for special requests, we were told. We ordered the mushroom pâté bruschetta, and it was delicious. Pâté, fresh mushrooms, and pea tendrils on good toast. Fantastic. I was excited to see radishes with butter & salt on the menu; they’re a favorite cocktail snack in my household. The room is simple and stylish. The music(an old-school hip hop and pop mix) was fun. Staff are friendly and happy to talk about the menu and their drinks. We asked about a particular spirit, and the bartender chatted about it with us. He even offered to make us a cocktail highlighting it. I’ll be back. Often.

BF is my new BFF. Fausto has everything you want in a perfectly hidden neighborhood bar: friendly and expert bartenders, ridiculously good upscale cocktails and hip, yet understated and relaxed décor. A brand new venue that feels like it’s always been there is a great accomplishment these days. Too many places come off as trying way too hard to be cool, BF just is. The light food menu is mostly starter based. The mushroom bruschetta was superb, as well as the meat and cheese platter — I can’t wait to try the crudo. Looking forward to being a regular. Bravo.
