Food and service wasn’t great but the guy in the back making the food was great! He was very entertaining and interacted with my kids a lot! Ambiance is interesting. Wasn’t a terrible eatery but don’t plan on returning.

Meh. Lunch here was mediocre to decent… The Mongolian chef didn’t appear at all happy to be doing what he was doing. Seemed proficient in his job but didn’t smile, make conversation, or even eye contact. Strictly business with that guy. The meat and veggie lines needed tending to and some clean up and replenishment would’ve helped also. Some sauces and spices were completely empty so I guess I missed out on whatever was in those bowls… That being said, our server was quick to serve up refills on soda, beer and waters, and that’s always a pretty big deal to me.

Pretty good place. Only thing is you should know what you are adding to the bowl for grilling. Nothing special usual chain restaurant.

This place is just fun I wife and I bought some of our friends over and it’s nice to experiment with the different food selections and if you’re a hearty eater this is your Mecca we have been to this place several times and it’s so good I have yet to eat anything off of the menu just straight over to the big grill

I would classify this as Americanized Mongolia BBQ. Same as others like Genghis and Hu Hot. The one thing that was slightly better than the others mentioned was they had more variety of sauces than a Genghis and better thicker sauces than a Hu hot. Other than that, it was good. I prefer Genghis’ flavor but at Hu hot prices. This place seemed pricer but it’s probably because it’s downtown Denver.

The long awaited dinner was incredible. Food was spectacular as always. Cooks and staff were friendly and fast. Our server was Allison and I just have to say she was enthusiastic and bubbly from hello. We drove from LA and planned the trip around dinner at BD’s and Allison made it an incredibly special night for us. She was fast and smiled even as I watched the table next to us try to shut her down. Great personality and awesome representation of BD’s amazing Customer Service. Well done!

We LOVE this place! Fresh ingredients, and how can you not like something you make yourself. Great service also.

Meh, probably not going back for a while. Our waiter was very friendly but obviously overwhelmed. They looked very understaffed. The concept is problematic as well. Different things take different amounts of time to be cooked, so unless you like your shrimp and meat over cooked and you broccoli raw I’d recommend a different place.

I have been wanting to go back to BD’s Mongolian Grill for several months now, having been several times in the past 2 – 3 years. I finally got back and here is my review. If you absolutely love that you can make your own dish, with as much of anything and everything that you want, and watch it prepared for you, then this is the place for you! I love preparing my own dish, as I love to cook myself. It’s also great having everything there to choose from too: the meats, the veggies, the salad and fixings, the sauces, and even two different soups — yum! Going back as many times as you can is good too, except that as I have gotten older, you realize that this is not so healthy for you, and you just can’t do it either!(bummer!) Looking around at the other customers there, you realize the«target audience» or «target customer» this restaurant targets, and it’s not me or my generation. This restaurant is for the 20-somethings, maybe early 30-somethings too. When you hit your 40’s or above, not so much. So, thanks BD’s for what you do! You nailed it for those in the 20’s or 30’s! For those into their 40’s and beyond, well, not so much. It’s not you, it’s us — our metabolism, health issues, etc. We loved you when we were younger, so Thanks!

Went to bds the other day with a few friends expecting a good fresh coooked meal. Couldn’t have been more wrong. Fly in the glass. Food crusted on what were supposed to be clean plates and silverware. The waitress was rude about it. Left immediately and wont be back. Avoid this place, between bugs and dirty dishes it could be a meal to regret. No one wants to come into a place when its likely to get sick from food. The contrary actually They need a thorough health inspection at this place.

Using the Unilocal deal was a PITA as the server had no idea it existed. The way they stagger the line around the grill seems disorderly. Instead of making it «Wendy’s style», where you step to the next available spot, you are lined up «McDonald’s style», where there’s a line for each spot on the grill. Makes it hard to get through if you’re on that side of the restaurant and you are returning from the salad bar or the grill itself. Where this place earns points is through the various starches that are offered. HuHot only offers steamed white rice, while BD’s had brown rice. There’s also tortillas and other goodies available if you want to get«outside of the bowl». Everything is clearly labeled and having dry spices/seasonings to add to your bowl is a nice touch. Nothing about the service stood out as poor or exemplary, outside of the problem with the Unilocal deal which added a good 5 – 10 minutes onto our visit.

Happy BIRTHDAY to me! Not only did I get my «all you can eat» meal for free, but they also had the entire restaurant sing to me, gave me a free dessert and… Their food ACTUALLYFILLEDMEUP(that’s a feat because I’m always hungry)! I have loved this place since college and had not been in oh 6 years… And let’s just say, it did not disappoint and was everything I remembered, if not more, because now they offer more seafood options on their food bar! So if it’s your birthday or if you feel like stuffing yourself into some delicious food coma, hit up BDs! You’re welcome!

I really like the concept, and the food quality on the meat and seafood line is way better than Huhot, but I think service fell through on my recent visit. I reserved a table for seven for my daughter and friends for her 16th birthday. I called ahead as I had seen on their website that BD’s could arrange for decorations and a cake — and the manager was super helpful over the phone. We arrived a few minutes early, but we got our table right away. No decorations. No biggie, I figured maybe they were coming later. Nope, never did, and had to remind the server about the $ 10 cake(yup, $ 10 for a $ 5 King Soopers cake). The salad bar was a sad mess — slimy lettuce, soups were beer cheese and chili. Who serves that at an Asian restaurant. They do, apparently. We had a vegetarian in our group who wound up with steak from someone else’s bowl in her meal. Cake presentation was basically the server dumping the cake off in front of my daughter and blurting out«Happy birthday» before running off. My daughter didn’t seem to mind, but I did. This was her 16th, and she chose BD’s because of great memories from eating here as a smaller child. What a letdown! Come here for lunch but not birthday parties.

Good, quick, and easy dining establishment right in downtown Denver. Open Grill all you can eat Mongolian style, with plenty of choices for meat, veggies and sauces! Very casual space that was comfortable, along with great service highlighted by our waitress Baily, who was very sweet and accommodating throughout the meal. I would recommend staying with the stir fry, soup and salad combo they offer because the one thing we ordered off the menu, The Wham Bam Shrimp, was mushy and didn’t taste very good(sad is how my dad explained the taste). This place is known for their stir fry so don’t stray off into the menu options is my suggestion. The quality of food was pretty mediocre but thats what you get with an all you can eat style place. Regardless, the stir fry portion of our meal was very tasty. They comped some fried Oreos for desert(it was my brothers birthday) that would have made any sour person sweet! Extremely unhealthy but extremely scrumptious! This is the type of place you only go to once every couple of months but that one time you do go, it’s a pretty complete and satisfying meal!

I love this place so much! We had made a reservation for 8 of us at 6:00 on a Saturday night. When we got there they didn’t have a table and were waiting for people to get up. At first we didn’t mind and grabbed a drink at the bar, but by 6:20 we were slightly annoyed and I checked in with the hostess. She still didn’t know when those people would get up and asked if we were ok with two 4-tops put together. Umm yeah? Who wouldn’t be ok with that? Finally sat down and our waiter Mckenzie brought us all bowls and we set off to create our masterpieces. I learned a trick– put all your veggies in first(they’re lighter) and then finish with the noodles and meat cause they’re heavy, will hold everything down and you can pile your bowl even higher! Their ingredients are much fresher than Hu Hot(don’t go there, it’s gross). Then get your sauce(I always fill two cups cause one just isn’t enough) and take it over to be cooked. The guys cooking are awesome to watch– dinner and a show! They upped their prices since the last time I had been $ 14 for a single bowl and $ 17 unlimited. The difference now is that it includes unlimited soup and salad but I’d rather the bowl be cheaper and that as an option. The bowl is plenty I don’t think I could fit any soup or salad! Ooh and try the fried Oreos! I had never tried those before and they were SOOOO good! See you again soon BD’s!

I went here once with friends and it was okay. First of all, I’m not impressed that an Asian restaurant runs out of rice — don’t let that happen again. For the selection on the stir fry, it’s a good idea to take a look at everything and then go down the line so you don’t load up too fast and then omit an item due to lack of space. The service was unacceptable. I had a particularly spicy sauce and had to go to the bar to get my water refilled as the waiter left us for a good 20 minutes unattended.

Came here tonight to celebrate a belated birthday for my husband, who had to work on his birthday. My tea arrived with a half full cup. I mean, it tasted fine, but for the $ 3 you charged me a few more ounces of hot water would not go amiss. I don’t know if it is because today is Mother’s Day or what but it was exceptionally dirty, down to the sticky floors and sloppy bathrooms. The place you get your food was so gross. Many of the containers were empty(with no one refilling them) or they were contaminated with other food. Handles for picking up food were sticky and gross. We saw our waitress THREE times the whole night. She was only watching two other tables beside ours and I watched her help the other tables much more often. It was difficult catching her eye and it took forever for her to bring our check. Why three stars, then? The grill chefs were very accommodating, friendly, and funny. They made the night and they did a good job cooking our food. Not sure we’ll come back though. We were just not impressed.

No where near the quality and selection of other Mongolian BBQ places. Overpriced but maybe the prices reflect their location? I have always had decent service in the few times I have been in no matter if it was busy or not. This location is a great choice if you are in the area and looking for mediocre selections and average food quality.

I totally loved my experience at bd’s! It was super fun seeing the staff twirl their spatulas around, stacking eggs, and singing and yelling randomly :) We came on a Friday night and sat ourselves at the bar b/c there was a 45 min wait for a table. but the bar was completely fine to eat dinner with some beer! They give you a bowl to stack all the noodles, meats, and veggies in for them to grill it for you on this HUGE circular grill. They throw long metal spatulas in the air and put on a good show while cooking our food! I think you also get soup and salad with the meal but the Mongolian bbq was plenty enough food for us, and I had no room for anything else. They also give you rice or tortilla if you need more carbs than the noodles. They also have dessert like fried oreos. which are probably amazing and causes heart attacks. but we were too full to order them. I had their nitro milk stout beer… AMAZING. If you like dark beer, you’ll love this one. :) The bartender was super attentive and nice. food was delicious, beer was amazing. What else can I ask for? It’s a perfect place for a date! So for you gentlemen out there, this place is great for a casual date to take your lovely ladies! :)
