The restaurant has some really tasteful dishes, I went there once with a bunch of friends, we had a table of 18 ppl. The waitresses introduced themselves in a very professional way. Our orders were taken really quick. I ordered the Bourbon mahi mahi, it comes with shrimp and mashed potatoes. The dish was so good, I would definitely go back again to try some of the other dishes that they have. The only thing that took long is the payment at the end, but I guess processing the payment for a table of 18 people with separate receipt can never go fast!

We had a pretty good time. The place gets pretty busy as its so close to the convention center. We had a reservation and they were ready for us. Food was good. We did have some problems getting our food out, but they were good about fixing the problems. We love Bubba Gump. They do a pretty good job. We will be back.

The environment is great. I came during the launch hour, and it wasn’t busy at all. I could say that the food is great! The staffs are very friendly too!

It’s a chain and owned by Landry’s. Not a big fan of Landry’s. However, this location was very good. Quick to be seated, service was great. Food was served timely. Teenagers very happy and liked it. It was not crowded and plenty of seating. I would come back, but not sure I would go out of my way to get there. This was in the area as we were at the convention center.

Bubba Gump’s was amazing! First and foremost the service was above and beyond in the most southern manner! There Mac N cheese with a southern twist is a must. But what sold this family was the character this place had! Gee golly! Reminds me of home every time! Shout out to greenbow Alabama!

We came around 9PM, the place wasn’t that busy. It took 10 minutes to be seated, another 15 – 20 until our waiter got to us, about another 10 minutes for us to get our drinks and by the time we got our food, it was cold. So yea, it was pretty bad, which is too bad. 2 stars is pretty generous.

Went for the first time and now wish there was one near our neighborhood. Had Lt. Dan’s Drunken Shrimp — yummy! The shrimp were tasty, the sausage was just spicy enough, and the mashed potatoes were delicious also. Spouse had the Shrimper’s Heaven and really enjoyed it The french fries were great also. Service was good.

I went there on a Saturday night and we sat at the bar. We primarily went for drinks, but the people I went with ordered some food which we shared. While they liked the food I found it greasy and not that greatest However, I give it 4 stars for their bartenders. The one bartender who served me… I believe it was Steve… went out of his way to take care of me. I wanted a coconut margarita and while they don’t have them, he created one for he and it was really really good.

Fun, nostalgic place for Forrest Gump fans… Servers ask movie trivia. Food not so great. Overpriced for the portions that you get. Rather bland, chicken tenders were cooked to death. Smallest shrimp that I ever have seen in a restaurant… They really should add a tblsp or 2 of vinegar to the peel n eat shrimp when cooking to help you peel the little things… Then again… What can you expect from a corporation run restaurant… If Forrest ran the place it would be much better… Mama would expect nothing less!!!

Service was good and even though the place was swamped, the bartenders made sure I was helped. The gumbo was good. I’d definitely recommend for a quick supper.

I’ve eaten at 4 other bubba gump’s locations across the U.S., and had an outstanding experience every time. This location definitely does not live up to the chain’s reputation. After going out of our way to eat here, the food was very mediocre. The shrimper’s net catch appetizer was watery and not particularly flavorful. Everyone’s entrees were equally mediocre, and my own steamed seafood pot that cost a whopping $ 24 dollars was comically small and also very watery. I’m very frustrated to have taken my friends to such a disappointing and expensive meal. It was definitely the low point of our roadtrip.

Happy Hour at the bar(upstairs) is good. Cheap prices for food and drinks. The fish tacos(get 2 with an order) were excellent… the onion strings were greasy but still ok. Drinks are full size.

Bubba Gump Shrimp is a fun place to eat at with a group of friends. The menu for such a large place is more on the limited size, and the food is good, but not out of the ordinary. Of course as it’s name implies, it serves what I would call quickly repaired seafood, fried and sauced. They have a souvenir country store type sundry room(similar to what you would find at Cracker Barrel only on a smaller scale) that caters to Forrest Gump film fans. Dislikes: The booths area bit tight to get into. Inadequate staff to service the tables available. There were people waiting to be seated with plenty of open tables, but insufficient staff to man the tables. Likes: The décor as well as the hostess and our waitress answered our questions, as well as quizzing us on Forrest Gump film trivia. There is a sign plaque on the table and if you want your waitress’s attention, flip over the«Stop Forrest Stop» sign.

The bar upstairs is nice and if you get a table by the window upstairs, even better. The décor is open, bright and airy and the staff is always friendly. We have only ordered drinks and apps on our way downtown from disembarking the train. Each time we seem to gravitate to the Hurricane cocktail, although on the sweet side for me, it seems to pair well with their shrimp and other apps. I simply ask the bartender to adjust the ratio of mix for me. Overall, I like Bubba’s as a quick in-and-out or starter and have enjoyed it every time. Just a good place to start your day or night.

I don’t really have complaints. I sat at the bar and had a drink, watched one of the 2 tvs they had up, and had some pretty good coconut shrimp. The service was good.

Would’ve never otherwise come here if I didn’t have a gift card… but like the reviewer below me said, this is the Denny’s equivalent of a seafood restaurant. I kinda feel bad about slamming Bubba Gump’s Dixie Fishwich and Shrimper’s Heaven platter… but all part of the game, man. My friend ordered the surf and turf(steak medium rare) and the steak was so bland, chewy and inferior we had to send it back. When the new food came out the tough guy sous chef came out and passive aggressively watched him take the first couple bites… acting like he put his heart and soul into this steak. In hindsight we should’ve got Bubba’s Dumb Luck Defrosted Coconut Shrimp Casserole instead. Just a reminder if you decide to come here, temper your expectations. About two steps below what you would normally receive at Red Lobster. And if you’re from out of town visiting the convention center, walk a couple blocks in any direction to find something better! This is a landlocked state but this is the bottom of the barrel for seafood.

Bubba Gumps, oh, Bubba… Here is my reason for a two star: The positives: They did a good job taking care of a big group of 10 – 15 people. They seemed patient and professional The negatives: The surf and turf was not good at all. The shrimp was overcooked and the steak was the toughest meat I’ve had in a long time! It was definitely not worth the $ 30 price. It was a «Denny’s» quality steak. Without the decent service, it would have been a one star! With great service plus a decent steak and shrimp, it would have been a four star effort. At the end of the day, it might have been my fault for ordering a steak from Bubba Gumps…

On the evening of 1÷30÷2015, my friend and I decided to try the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company location in Denver, Colorado. We looked at the menu online before our trip, looked at reviews, and were excited not only to take in the Forrest Gump-ness of the restaurant chain but based on the prices, we though we’d be getting some decent seafood. Unfortunately, we were mistaken. For me personally, it was one of the worst seafood experiences of my life. I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed about a meal before and had to stop somewhere else AFTER leaving Bubba Gump to actually eat something that didn’t taste disgusting. It started with our appetizers. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and shrimp mac and cheese. For the price of the mac and cheese, despite the shrimp, we expected a bigger portion at the very least or at least more shrimp. 6 pieces of shrimp in a tiny little mac and cheese dish was horrible for the price we paid. The stuffed mushrooms were perhaps the worst part of the entire meal. The only time I’ve had ANY sort of seafood that tasted like lake was when I fished it up myself in a shoddy lake growing up… My dad often made us throw back fish we caught because of the way it would taste, that’s what the crab in the stuffed mushrooms tasted like. They smelled like lake, they tasted like lake. That immediately told me the quality of seafood being sold at Bubba Gump’s and it didn’t warrant the price in any circumstance. After ordering our entrees, I ordered the Shrimp Po’boy and my friend ordered the Bourbon Mahi, we overhead a waitress at another table describe the night’s specials — something we were never told about and would’ve ordered had we been told. At this point though, we already were dreading our entrees and had wished we’d left after the mushrooms. The only good part of the Bourbon Mahi was the mashed potatoes that came with it. Not only was the price absurd for the portions given, the Mahi Mahi had no flavor and was difficult to chew. The Shrimp Po’boy was ruined by someone who had no clue how to toast French Loaf. The bread was so hard there was no way I could eat it without breaking my teeth. The mayo on the sub looked like it had been sitting on it for over a day. The shrimp itself was flavorless and there was more coating than there was shrimp on my sandwich. I ate about half of it before I gave up. To spend $ 70 on a meal that was disgusting and made with seafood I could’ve bought from Walmart is a disservice to your customers. At the very least, you could lower your prices to correspond with the quality of seafood being served. For those of us who know good seafood, Bubba Gump’s is horrible; for those that don’t, I can see why they come back for more, they don’t know better.

Came in here on a freezing cold Wednesday night to meet some friends who had grabbed a table after we flew into town. This isn’t my type of place as I tend to avoid chain places in a new town, tending to try the local fare, but I was famished after a day of traveling. So I caved. I’m also not the biggest fan of fried or cajun things so I ordered one of the tamest things that wasn’t going to give me indigestion. Our waitress was friendly enough and helped my one gutsy but indecisive friend who picked 2 entrees and told the waitress to pick for her. She also was great when one of the girls at the table got cranky when her steamed veggies came out with butter on them and she wanted them COMPLETELY plain. Also she had no problem splitting a check 7 ways. The food took forever to come for being such a slow night though. There was really nobody in there and my small appetizer that I ordered as an entrée came out only mildly hot :/If you’re a fan of this chain or looking for some cheap fare, this might be a place to go. But it’s not a great eatery or a fine dining restaurant by any means.
