they had the best wing sauce ever! too bad they are closed now(and have been for a while). their hottest wing sauce was my favorite flavor wing sauce ever, and i wish i could find a person who used to work there, so i could get my hands on that recipe.

Fun place to hang out. Lively and has large selection of beer. Not overpriced. Worst BBQ ribs I have ever eaten. my friend was ecstatic with her fried pickles. Closed down now… sad :(

Sausage fest. I even got food poisoning here once. Don’t eat the chicken. I also am hearing rumors that this place has shut down. If that’s the case, you’re not missing much.

This place is defintely a fun place to go to watch a game, grab a beer and some food! Went for happy hour(which conveniently goes until 7) and had one of the platters(we got brisket and pulled pork). The meat was delicious! You smother it in the BBQ sauce of your choice at the table so you can control how much you put on — something I found nice since I don’t always like it to be dripping with sauce. Met a friend there and had a hard time just talking because it was a little loud(music and a basketball game going in the background) but it you’ve got a big loud group, you’ll be fine! Overall, I think I’ll go back and check it out again!

Good tasting food for a bar. Fairly decent BBQ. Good tap selection. Prepare for an upset stomach next day though…

This used to be my favorite watering hole. Now it’s too loud to have even a yelling conversation! I can’t go back.

This is a nice, big sports-ish bar with a number of TVs, solid prices and well not the best service. They’ve got a great outside seating area as well when the weather’s warm enough. So, my friends and I decided on a nightcap here since Shotgun’s was too far away. ;) Actually, I’ve been in here on a number of occasions though. As mentioned prices for beers and drinks are decent. The chili cheese fries are surprisingly tasty as well, although that’s all I’ve ever eaten here. Service, well not exactly fast. But, it’s a decent enough bar with good happy hours. P. S. I’m pretty sure there is a phở burglar that went into my car and ate all my phở, leaving the empty container. Park with phở in your car at your own risk.

Went here with the Ladies for Trivia Night. I’ve been here before and always had a good time. The service started out really slow tonight, but it was between the dinner hour and football season starting up-so it was busy. After a rocky start to getting drinks, things looked up. The patio is awesome! Trivia was fun and the easy street beer was $ 3 No complaints, will go back.

Went here for the UFC fight, was cool that they didn’t charge a cover. Waitress was slow as a turtle getting us draft beers. Little steep on price for a glass of draft Coors light, could of bought a six pack for the price of one beer. Ordered the cheese dip with tortilla chips. They mix pork products into it and it tasted funny. Was hungry so ate it anyway. After going to sleep that night the dip got its revenge on me in a puking rampage. And no, it wasn’t from drinking, I only could afford two beers here…

This used to be my favorite bar. This was my go-to place after a bad day, to have a celebration, or just to kick back with some cool people. The food was consistently good and there was always something going on. Then the bad thing happened. Someone thought it would be a good idea to bring in some sank chicks to «pose» as servers because they sucked(certain male parts for money on the side I’m sure). I am kind of in shock. Gone are the prostitutes and now there are pretty, girl next-door looking servers that I would guess are almost all college students and can carry on an intelligent conversations. These girls are actually prettier than what they were trying to accomplish before and I’m not afraid to touch what they have touched. They hired someone to do market research for the area, they have a new chef and are revamping their menu, and have brought back the old wings(if anyone else came here in the last year or so, you may have noticed they had jointed wings(grosses me out!). I don’t think the service will ever be good at this place. It never was(except for at the bar way back when). The food is much, much better than it used to be, and now I’m sad because we just moved up North. They have great happy hour specials and great live music in the Summer. Give this place another shot if you haven’t been there in at least 3 months. You will be pleasantly surprised with the changes!

I can dig it for what it is. They have a very large open patio here with misters to keep you cool on a hot day, and heaters to keep you warm on a cool day. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a menu with types of food to keep things interesting. I really didn’t eat anything while we were here, but one of my friends ordered the fried pickles with ranch which were good but way too salty. I figured that was their way of telling us to drink more beer — which we did. The service was good and we didn’t wait long for anything. I will certainly go back after a day of riding if we are in the area. Did I mention they’re biker friendly? Well they are.

Want some good karaōke on a Tuesday night? Go to Caldonia’s. Not only is it karaōke night, but also service industry night. If you bring your pay stub, you qualify for some good drink specials. The sound here is phenomenal! Uncle Dutchie’s Karaōke hosts this show so you get great sound and a huge selection of songs to choose from. The place itself is huge and they have a huge patio which would be great in the summer. The bathrooms are decent and there’s ample parking. Though it doesn’t look like much from the outside, this place is pretty awesome.

This thirty year old wanna-be roadhouse has a homey feel. I like the non-chain aspect and the super friendly help adorned in midriff revealing half shirt splendor. As a sports bar, it also performs well. But for a restaurant its almost tragic I had the prime rib dip that missed on all counts except the cole slaw. It was fatty, bland and the au jus was simply brown water. Actually, I’ll probably return for the nice and pretty waitresses, big screen teles and cold beer.

For someone who has never been to Caldonia’s, this was my first impression. I felt like I was in a strip club as the waitress’s walked around taking orders. The waitress’s butts are very revealing in short, personally cut off shorts and boobs hanging out of Caldonia’s issued zipper up shirts. My waitress had the shortest outfit, pierced lip, pierced tongue, tramp stamp, etc., you get the description. Not very classy if you ask me, but I guess this is the image the establishment wants and I’m sure the ladies make more tips wearing what they wear. I myself was here for one thing, a Nebraska Cornhusker televised football game. As I received a Nebraska Alumni Association Husker Watch Party invitation with a list of watch sites in the mail. Caldonia’s was on the list and won my personal selection as it was closed to the area of Denver I lived. So, I went. I’m sure I will not pick this location next time I go to a Nebraska watch location. As I sat waiting for the Nebraska vs. Kansas State football game to start, I watched part of the New York Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins ALDS game with a tall $ 3.00 happy hour beer. This was nice. The outdoor patio is huge and quite full at 4:30p on a Thursday. I could tell mostly regulars were here as they talked and hugged the waitresses as they left and arrived. I really was only here to watch the Huskers, have a few drinks and maybe buy some food during the football game. My girlfriend joined up later with a friend after work to watch. We had a good time, we typically have a good time anywhere we go. But, I did not appreciate the way the waitresses snuck out to the parking lot for a smoke break right in front of the outdoor flat screen television. They left in shifts, shouting out to their waitress buddies when they would return. I know, I know, it’s a bar. I’m getting older(only 30) and I perceive these situations differently as I would have just 5 years ago. It was these situations that turned me off throughout the night.

I was in the mood for burgers and wings, and the only place I can think of that served both was Hooters. So we went south on Parker Road on the way to Hooters, laughing that we would be the only two gay guys there. We passed Caldonia’s and my partner says they have wings and burgers, so we made a u-ey and drove into the parking lot. We decided to sit inside, since the sun was setting and wanted to avoid the glare. The waitress was friendly and gave some good recommendations. We ordered the $ 3 burger with Harvarte cheese, gaucomole, onions, tomatos, lettuce… + the 3 meat barbeque plate with ribs, wings, and beef brisket. The sauce was a peach chipotle, which had just the right spicyness. The wing sauce was tangy and buttery. Everything hit the spot, and the total came to $ 22. Cheap! We had plenty left over for lunch the next day.

We walked in here, having passed it so, so many times yet having no idea that it was a breastaurant. Brushing off the horrified glare of my date and my better sensibilities, we pushed on in(I did it for you guys). Well, I was quite pleasantly surprised with the delicious food. The pulled pork and sliced brisket sandwiches were KILLER, tender, flavorful and succulent. Fries were great too, and a broad selection of micro-brews on tap. Some of the waitresses were def. SMOKIN, others were not so much. To me, that was all kind of irrelevant because I honestly could not take my eyes of my pulled pork ‘wich. Really. Okay, maybe I took a quick peek… …at the TVs(there were several) and come on, it was the NBA Finals. Oh, our server offered extremely attentive service and was really quite concerned with what we thought of the beers she suggested. I was not expecting that level of dedication. Homegirl held it down. But anyway, the bbq was so tasty that I would gladly order take out if my companion wasn’t feelin the whole raw brilliance of the hooters meets bbq thing they have goin on at Caldonia’s.

Cheap beer, good selection on tap. Hot slutty waitresses! Our waitress was excellent and i’m not just saying that because of her schoolgirl outfit… which was good. Had a few bites of some gooey fried okra, which was… gooey. Can’t really speak for the food here. The beer was good and I had a good time because of the people I was with! One extra comment — What the hell happened in the mens bathroom??? Water everywhere and almost every used beer disposal device out of service. Those crazy Aurora people…

It was alright I guess. In all my legal drinking years in Denver I had never been here until I went back this weekend for my high school reunion. Outside of the pig in the front and the incredibly cheap long islands there wasn’t a lot to make this place any better than the average suburban bar. Oh there was the mountain of paper towels in the ladies room. That was pretty awesome. I suggest bigger trash cans. And this had nothing to do with the place itself but to the girl who was«f****d up but not as f****d up as her friend so she could still drive-I honestly hope you made it home okay and that you left before of after I did. Scary…

Caldonias, or what i refer to it… Auroras Finest. This is the place that you get dragged to because its your friends birthday and for some reason they live in aurora and refuse to leave the city to celebrate. The staff looks like a bunch of hooters rejects, which might be a good thing according to some. If you have not had your yearly dose of second hand smoke a few minutes on the patio will change that. Listen, you enjoy others suggestions on Unilocal and you can do better than Caldonias, I just know it.
