I went y tonight and it looks like they closed down. Too bad, I really like the place…

The quality of the wines has really gone down. This used to be a really awesome place for happy hour, but now is just so so. A Friday night happy hour used to hopping, last Friday hardly anyone there, so a bit boring. Will probably not be back for now.

While the quality of the food and wine list are great, the service screams help and not Unilocal! The amount of time to wait to even be acknowledged was about 4 – 5 min. The bar was busy so I can’t blame the bartender. Another person would probably have relieved the pressure of serving the whole bar and seating area with what seemed only three people. Then again having to wait to order food was long as well, as well as the wait for my second glass of wine. I will probably be back but on a less busy time to experience all the menu has to offer without having to worry about the service.

Bruschetta Plate and a Malbec plus tax and tip = $ 35. Although it was delicious, it was also too pricey in my book. The atmosphere is very nice, dimly lit with a cozy fireplace to sit by and large windows to look out of. Any idea of it being a romantic spot is blown out of the water due to the noise factor. It seems be more a Happy Hour, Party with the Girls/Boys kind of place, just not what I was hoping for in a wine bar.

Came here a few weeks ago for a girls night and have been coming back since! I recommend sitting at the bar. Eric, the bartender will take care of you. He’s super knowledgeable about the wine selection, food pairings, and is always up for a good conversation! I definitely recommend this place to any wine drinkers in Denver!

This place was amazing. Good wine, good food and beautiful location. It’s a walk from downtown denver but it is so worth it!

Came here for a boys night out while on vacation. Awesome wine selection. Courtney took care of us and gave us wine suggestions which all turned out to be great. The atmosphere of the bar was cozy yet modern. The music playing were songs we all knew and we sang along. If I lived down in the front range I would come here all the time. Bravo!

Spent $ 100 for 2 people, came in 1 hour before closing. Bright lights were turned on 6 min before their closing time before our tabs were even offered to us. I was looking forward to coming to this place but unfortunately they don’t realize this is a business with paying customers that deserve good customer service. Won’t go back. The waiter clearing our table off even mumbled that he wanted to go home. I’ve worked in the service industry for years and so I expect the quality of service that I give to a paying customer that is helping to pay my bills. It’s not that hard.

Not to sound snobby(right) but this place is not for connoisseurs and is definitely overpriced. Canyon Road Merlot for $ 41/bottle? This represents a markup of ~$ 35 bottle, folks. And, Canyon Road? In a wine bar? Come on guys. While I’m sure it’s not BAD, there’s a lot of reasonable priced wine out there that isn’t mass produced and characterless. Reds are all basically fruit bombs. I had the Zesto Old Vine Garnacha after searching in vain for something less, um, big. It was ok for the style. Happy hour prices bring it down to earth but are still not what I would call a value. Décor is kitchy but service was friendly. Not crowded on a Friday after work and the jazz playing was sublime.

I adore Caveau! It is the perfect spot in Uptown to grab a glass of wine with a friend or a date. The atmosphere is my favorite part of Caveau. Huge, beautiful bar, dark(but not too dark), cozy booths and tables, a fireplace, couches, and some seats looking through large glass windows out to the happenings on 17th Ave. Wonderful wine selection, generous pours, and excellent service. Definitely check out their happy hour to make it an affordable experience!

Caveau Wine Bar has a wonderful selection of wine and a friendly wait staff to guide you through your options. Pick a glass of your favorite wine or choose a flight for a wider variety of options. Yardstick was my favorite. You can also pair your wine with a meat and cheese board. Again pick your favorites or ask your waitress for the beat pairing with youe wine.

Great spot! The appetizers were great and they have a good variety of cheese if you go with even the small meat and cheese plate. There wine was a good deal by the bottle. There are plenty of places to kind of feel secluded as a group.

Bummed… Used to visit on regular basis. Been away for a bit. Popped in for a night cap. Server not familiar with wines like I’m used to. Very little interaction with guests. Seems stale compared to local spot in the past experience. Wines always great but just felt different this time. Hoping its a fluke!

I have been here twice and have been very impressed at not only the selection, but selection of DELICIOUS wine! I’ve had a few of their apps, but can’t remember because of the DELICIOUSWINE! Our server was amazing. I was the third wheel and its a great date place. Sigh.

I love this place. It never disappoints. The staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. It is a great place to go when you are looking for a nice glass of wine and some quality appetizers. Last time we went here, we ordered a flatbread pizza, pancetta wrapped dates, and chickpea fries which I hadn’t seen on the menu before. There were only like 6 of the fries, but they were awesome. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Great little happy hour spot just a few blocks east of downtown. The prices aren’t spectacular($ 6 for any glass of wine priced $ 12 or less before 6pm), but you do get a decent pour. No cheap, high-hangover-risk wine here. It’s a really nice space and I have always had great service. They have an assortment of appetizers, but I hope to see a larger menu someday soon!

Oh how I hate being in the minority with star ratings. I had high hopes for Caveau and was really excited to go for the first time, but the whole experience just made me sort of angry. My friend and I started with a couple glasses of wine, then decided to order a cheese plate. Which is great, except that our waiter decided he was going to completely ignore us FORANHOUR! No joke, I don’t think he even looked in our direction. This girl was starving and Park & Co. was looking extra enticing across the street. So once he did finally come over we let him suggest some cheeses and that turned out to be a mistake. He chose all hard cheeses. I thought that was weird. Also, the menu description mentioned mustard and cornichons, neither of which came out with the cheese plate. The whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. I mean, there’s only so much hard cheese and dry toast a person can eat. So disappointing!

I’ve been here before for a Unilocal event, but was here this time for a networking event. It’s a great little wine bar that isn’t too far from prime downtown. It’s a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and the staff is really friendly. They have a great wine list, and some tasty(though slightly pricey) small plates. Great place to meet friends, and very easy to have a conversation.

Caveau is a great place to have a glass of wine and talk on a couch. Or in my case, play geeks who drink trivia with my wife, the Ladyhawk. Both work just fine. The server was super swamped when we were there due to the influx of people, but he still was very responsive and got everything we ordered to us quickly and correctly. That’s very impressive given how packed it was and how little help he had. As for the food, they kill a nice cheese plate and rock some wicked little pizzas. Good tasters to accompany your main reason for being there, the wine. They have a very good selection(see large) and they always let you sample a new wine before purchasing it to ensure you are getting something you want. That. again, is a big deal to me(as if I met a wine I didn’t like or something… yeah right).
