I’ve been enjoying the updated design for some time now. My dog loves the open grassy area, and I’ve seen bunches and bunches of kids enjoying the playground area, which is clean and well maintained. However, this past week, my wife stumbled upon the one thing that makes this not only a 5 star park, but one of my favorite parks ever. Table tennis tables. Are you kidding me? How awesome is that!!! There are two tables made out of concrete, with metal«nets» located near the southern entrance of the park. They play pretty darn similar to normal tables. We’re not über competitive by any means, but we didn’t notice any significant difference between these concrete tables and normal tables. If you’re interested in playing, you probably will want to play earlier on in the day, since table tennis balls are pretty easily affected by the wind. But seriously, what a brilliant brilliant idea. Table tennis at the park.

Huge improvement. My tax dollars at work. Completely open to the street on the East side and half of the South side. Basketball. Hopscotch. Two Pétanque courts. I expect to see Eleftherios Topakas practicing his Bocce Ball there soon. New grass. New trees. Why only 4 stars? The hideous chain link fence on the west side ruins the aesthetic.
