A really wonderful selection of books. I read a lot of history and this bookstore has lots of recently written and critically acclaimed works. Not a massive quantity of books but the ones I knew that were displayed were all great. Good selection of loose leaf tea as well, and a nice quiet area to read and enjoy your drink.

A wonderful little bookstore and coffee shop. The hot chocolate was great, as was the selection. One of the things I like was that they have hardcovers of books that came out in the last year for a lot of popular titles. So if you are a hardcover snob like me, you can find probably some of the older hardcovers here that other stores like Barnes & Noble will have already returned or sold. Great selection and totally charming. Parking is street, or there is an expensive lot right across the street.

It was one of those places that are so small and lacking of people you just feel awkward or feel bad so you buy something you don’t even want. Maybe it was just because it was snowing but nonetheless it was a Saturday. Book selection was ok. Couldn’t find any Pete the Cat books in the kids section and I feel like that’s pretty standard to have stock in. I purchased a latte and it wasn’t the greatest, not so terrible I couldn’t drink it but not so great that I would buy another. Overall I wasn’t too impressed.

I stopped in for a coffee (delicious!) and stayed to check out the selection of books and gifts. There’s an especially good section of beautiful architecture and design titles, along with a nicely curated range of literature, non fiction and children’s books. The staff was super friendly, too, and made a delicious hot chocolate for my son. I’ll be back!

Awesome local coffee shop and bookstore. I work across the street, so I go here almost every week. Their coffee is delicious, and I’m always very impressed with their espresso skills, as they’re one of the only places in lodo that does it right. The book selection is suitable for the size of the shop. I particularly enjoy their local Denver author section. It has some fun, quirky stuff that would interest anyone who is curious about Denver/​Colorado history.

This is a gem of a book store located in downtown Denver. Immediately when you walk in the wonderful smell of coffee hits you. The books are beautifully displayed and the staff is very helpful in locating books I was looking for.

Stopped in this great little coffeshop bookstore while spending some time in Denver on a month long road trip. I love doing work in places like this and it the perfect spot. The staff is super friendly and pleasant to talk to. The coffee was delicious and well crafted. I recommend the Carmel latte. The décor was beautiful with lots of exposed wood. Great selection of books, including some I had yet to see. Make sure you swing by here if you’re in the area!

Coffee is amazing, I caught the smell of the coffee outside and went right in. The girl at the counter was nice and the place was clean. Coffee costed me $ 2 even. I wish i would have had some cash to tip but next time. Cool little spot for me to get good coffee at a reasonable price in the heart of downtown.

If you have a friend who is a cat lover or who loves to knit, there are great sections for both of these — good gift ideas!
Nice literary themed tees and totes including a tote bag that looks like an old fashioned library due date card.
Great selection of books and very friendly shopkeeper.
Offered to order the book for which I was looking and also offered to call another local bookstore.
The chocolate bars near the coffee also would be a great gift.

Wow! The coffee and tea hete is amazing. The staff is friendly too! Not a bad book in the store. Instead of sifting through every sort of book to find a gem, like at a normal bookstore, this place is full of gems! It’s hard not to walk away with all the books.

I love this place. I live in the neighborhood and have stumbled in here a few times. Each time it is a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful and the selection is amazing. Much more pleasant than tattered cover. We needed another book store in lodo. Really glad they have a friendly staff. Will go here from now on. Nice to be greeted with a smile.

My husband surprised me and brought me here for my birthday in February to pick out the book of my choice. Everyone was so nice!
I have since ordered books twice and brought friends in from my office not too far away. Every time I go in I get a warm welcome.
Every time I go in I absolutely MUST buy a Ginger Cookie. So chewy good! The Mayan Hot Chocolate is incredible.
Kevin, Ben, and Emily are true book lovers. They have a great selection of urban themed books by the way. Also great book selections.

This is a delightful find in the heart of downtown Denver! It has:
* very friendly and warm-​hearted staff
* a lovely lay-​out and welcoming atmosphere
* a great selection of a variety of titles
* delicious tea and coffee (the Evening in Missoula tea is SO good!)
Every time I go in I can’t help but feel this wonderful shop would benefit from a selection of used books.
Definitely worth spending time there! This little place is as cozy and pleasant as a bookstore should be.

Such a cute bookstore! I just happened to walk by it today and popped in to check it out, and loved what I found: a selection of great titles in beautiful additions. This latter point is something that I always appreciate in a bookstore: when care is taken not only of what books to sell, but what quality/​version of books (cover design, paper quality, etc) as well.
I’m always happy to see more independent bookstores opening up, and City Stacks is a new treat for Downtown Denver!
