After a bike ride left my dérailleur all sorts of funky, I popped into Define Cycling because of their close proximity to my office. They got my bike fixed immediately — no waiting, and they were incredibly attentive to the quick tune my bike needed. Steve and Roman were incredibly friendly and happy to talk me through the adjustments they were making so I could learn more about bike repairs. I’m so glad they’re close by because I’ll definitely be bringing my bike back throughout the season. Thanks, Steve and Roman!

I have had a lot of bad bike shop experiences. I love bikes and cycling, but I am not a bike expert and am not a fan of the bike snob pretension that I have encountered in many a Colorado bike shop. I came across Define Cycling when the shop I was working with seemingly didn’t want to take my money. I wanted to get properly fitted for an all road/gravel bike that I could take on long excursions so I wanted to make sure I purchased wisely. As soon as I walked into Define, Sean and the rest of his team immediately provided the type of service I always wanted from a bike shop, but could never quite articulate. Sean walked me through their fitting process in layman’s terms. Their Guru fitting machine allows you to try out a myriad of different bikes and frame sizes. Once I landed on a 62 cm Niner RLT9 Steel, Sean ordered it and had it assembled a few days later. He recommended that I ride it for a few weeks before coming back for another fitting specific to my riding style. The two weeks allowed me to make slight tweaks with seat height/position and get comfortable with the bike in general. When I came back for my fitting, I mentioned that I was having knee pain and couldn’t figure out exactly what was causing it by researching online. Sean immediately said, cleat position and walked me through what was going on with my shoes and how it was impacting my foot and knee. Based on what I’d read online, I felt like my cleats were in the right position. The knee pain went away immediately. You just can’t buy that kind of service online. The entire staff is professional, experienced, friendly and without pretension. They sell a wide range of bikes and service all bikes. The last time I was in the shop, one of the guys was servicing a beach cruiser and he made a comment like, we like working on every type of bike as long as people are getting out there and riding. The shop layout is pretty awesome; very open and has a modern, industrial feel to it. It’s like a bike-art gallery. My only complaint; they’re not open on Sundays. I like to ride on Sundays and rides are when I think about all the things I want to buy for my bike, like new bottle cages or a bar bag or that awesome sounding bell.

I recently broke my collarbone in a road race. my bike sustained a bit of damage so I needed to bring it somewhere to get it looked over(make sure the carbon is still good) and also replace the dérailleur hanger, true the wheels, and get new bar tape. I tend to stay faithful to my regular shops but I always like to check out new shops. Define is crazy close to where I live so I walked my bike over to have them do the work. I really like their space. its very nicely designed and has a nice looking fit studio as well. They stock some really great high end gear and know their stuff. Nice guys for sure too. Turnaround was pretty quick for the hanger, true, tape, and chain. I think only a couple days but I was out of town the entire week for work so I didn’t pick up until later. The prices are competitive with other jobs in Denver too so I can’t complain there! The only oopsie on their end was they forgot to call me when it was ready. but since I was out of town it wasn’t a big deal anyways. I will have to come back after I am fully recovered for a bike fit and also some of their weekend group rides. Great to see Define in the neighborhood!

These guys are top notch. Friendly, experienced, and great resources for bike fitting, repairs, or new purchases. Great mix of international and local brands/products in their shop. Road, TT, Mountain, cruiser, etc. They do it all.

Best bike shop in Denver!!! Amazing bikes, incredibly knowledge staff and the friendliest people you’ll meet. Tucked away in the coolest shop on Walnut Street with free parking in the rear. Love this place!!!
