Best breakfast/brunch in town. Get there early cause it gets packed. Their bloody marys are to die for. My husband can’t get enough of their chicken fried steak and eggs either. Its definitely worth the trip.

The food is food, bloody Mary’s are great. The service is sub par. Waited 20 mins to get any sort of drink and then our waitress just disappeared. I’m a server, I get the hassle of having a lot of tables. But the fact my table had to keep asking other servers, bussers, and even the food runner for refills and other random items is just ridiculous. Our server didn’t come talk to us once. It doesn’t take much to stop by our table and say, «I apologize for the wait, can I get you anything?» She literally just ignored us the whole time. I’ll come back, but won’t sit at a table. Stick with the bar. Bartender is cool

Homemade comfort food in a casual diner atmosphere. There’s usually a wait for breakfast so go early. It’s worth the wait tho… try anything with their fried potatoes! Actually crunchy AND homemade!

Still one of my top neighborhood breakfast spots! Great and consistent food and the service is always lovely. There is usually a bit of a wait but it’s only because it great!

Great food, great coffee, great staff and the wait times are not out of control like some other breakfast places. I really enjoy their omelets and their wide variety of coffee choices. They have an indoor and patio and the food is delicious!

I really love their patio. It feels like you’ve gone somewhere else and you hear birds chirping and you forget you are on Tennyson. The menu is pretty huge and we decided on the eggplant sandwich with the soup of the day and a burger with bacon and brie. The food was good as was the service. We will be back to try more items!

We’ve been coming here a lot for breakfast lately because it’s so good! Everyone is friendly here, especially Donna and Brandi. However there is one lady with really short hair that’s always around, and she always has a frown on her face and seems very annoyed by everyone :( Besides that we always enjoy coming and have always left satisfied. I can’t wait for the patio to open up! I wish they had a little bigger lunch selection but if they never do I’m fine with the breakfast :)

Ate there yesterday after getting off a red eye flight. Food and service were great! Always love their green chili. Had a tasty Bloody Mary to help celebrate that they now have a license!

Always a super friendly staff. Be ready to wait, I’ve never been there and not had to wait, but it is so worth it. A must have is their peach Bellini, made perfect every time. As for food, I’d recommend any of the Benedicts, or the chicken fried steak. Super huge portions, and you will always have leftovers!

I love this place! Best Benedicts in town. Especially their New Mexico! Service is terrific. The only complaint I have is that they don’t open the patio on really nice days leading up to Spring or early Winter. But this place is one of my favorites in town…

Went here today with one of my friends on a recommendation. We ordered the Pb&j French toast and it was excellent! Very good portions for the price. Our waitress was very kind and energetic. Excited to go back again and try something new. Loved it!

Came in on a weekend day with some friends for brunch. My buddy’s fiancée talked the place up, so I was reasonably excited for a good meal. Glad we came in! They were absolutely packed, but we already had a table waiting, which is always nice. The staff handled the crowd wonderfully. They were smiling, polite, quick, and johnny-on-the-spot with refills of coffee and checking in on us. I had the crab cakes benedict; it was pretty good, but lacking a bit in overall crab. Very tasty though! My vodka drink was tasty and a bit strong, which is always welcome. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal though, myself included. Good brunch.

This place was fantastic! My Benedict was so good I can’t wait to go back and order it again. My husband had the kitchen sink which he said was amazing! For just a small café they really crank out top notch food.

My good friend introduced me to DJ’s it’s one of his favorite brunch places. I’m glad he did. I love this place. It’s a sweet place. We chose to enjoy our brunch in a booth. A Bellini to go with our brunch. I had the Corned Beef Hash with a couple of over easy eggs on top. This dish got my attention because it was homemade and the beef shredded. So I am a fan. The potatoes were crunchy outside and seasoned well. Portion was huge. Something to look forward to: an outside area to dine when summer’s here! I will be back!

Very tasty food and great service can be found at this cute little eatery. The staff are very friendly and offer great recommendations. Give it a try during the week when it’s not as packed. You’ll be happy you did!

Dj’s Berkeley Café is your hometown café. And here’s why. We got here right when they opened. and there was a crowd already. This place gets pretty pack so get here early. the waitress recognized my friend and she’s only been there 3 times. She even remembered her order. That my friend is what a great place this café is! She took our orders and gave us our drinks. I got my Crab Cake Benedict and it came with a side of home potatoes and fruits. I loved the Hollandaise they added to this. It was so creamy and went well with the spinach. However, the egg was running enough to how i like it, but i’m an eggslut, so don’t hate me. The potatoes were a little dry, and the fruits weren’t so sweet. The crab cake itself was good, i can take taste the seafood taste from the crab. Since this place gave such great service it’s hard not to come back. So I’ll be back!

Love this place. One of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots. Home fried potatoes are delicious. I usually order one of the decadent varieties of french toast or belgium waffle. Good coffee from iNK. Service can be spotty though depending on who your watress is. All in all a great café!

This is my neighborhood jam for weekend breakfast. The corned beef hash is tasty, the breakfast burrito is always great and the pancakes are the size of a plate. The staff is very friendly. If you go on a Sunday morning, there will be a wait. But its worth it.

Sorry folks. As much as I love to give a good review on a highly-reviewed place, I can’t do it for DJ’s Café. I ordered the Strawberry French Toast… what I received was a steamed hunk of wheat bread with strawberry cream cheese and powdered sugar. Now, if the menu described the item as: hunk-o-bread with strawberry cream cheese, I would’ve been satisfied. The problem here is that it wasn’t any semblance of French Toast. This bread was most certainly NOT dipped into an egg-batter and pan-fried forthwith. Nothing French about it, except, perhaps, the price. Service was also very inattentive. Waitress seemed to be having a bad day. couldn’t even get a coffee refill until after the check came. Perhaps a hungover hipster would’ve gobbled this up & not even noticed the discrepancy here, but… alas… I’m neither hungover, nor hipster.

I loved the New York benidict. Maybe there should have been less potatoes. Also the pancakes were amazing my favorite was the chocolate pancakes. One thing that was bad was there were three hornets trying to eat my food. It became pretty annoying. We had to catch one of them. Back to the good stuff. All of the waiters were very nice. I found it cool that birds were flying around. All in all I thought that this café was amazing.

My favorite breakfast place in the neighborhood. Smoked salmon Benedict is fantastic. I ordered it the first time I came & haven’t deviated. The staff is super friendly and fun. There’s usually a wait but you can help yourself to coffee while you wait. The outdoor patio is a shady and cool place to sit, even on a hot day.

Came here during the Friday prior to the 4th of July. Had to wait about 20 minutes– not bad for such a busy weekend. That being said I could tell that the place was understaffed. After our food had been ordered and put in we virtually never saw our waitress again and had to flag her down for both coffee refills and again for the check. However, I’ve worked in the food industry and understand that Holiday weekends can be crazy hectic– that being said I think that if we came on a normal weekend I’m sure service would have been more than sufficient. Any time we did see our waitress she was incredibly nice and efficient. We ordered: Chicken Fried Steak Spicy Sausage Scramble Brie Omelet We were all satisfied with our food– nothing particularly wowed us about our entrees. However, their house potatoes are by far one of the BEST I’ve ever had. And don’t take that lightly– I’ve had Snooze, Syrup, Jelly, The Universal, etc. etc. These are PERFECT in every way– seasoned perfectly and crispy on the outside! That being said I think I’ll definitely try DJ’s again. The potatoes alone are worth coming back for.

I walked into DJ’s on a Tuesday morning @ 9:15 I was waiting for a barber appt. Initially I was just going to grab coffee, but I ordered french toast, and I am glad I did. The food was incredible! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but not crowded. The service was quick but friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

I only come here when I fancy a delicious eggs Benedict. They have the best in Denver. Sometimes It is just a hassle having to wait to eat. That’s most breakfast places though, so do not consider that a reason to avoid. If you like eggs Benedict, I think this is the place for you. Beyond that, here is the reason I continue to return. I am a veteran of the Army. When I ate there, my Benedict was served on an incredible commemorative plate to the different branches within the Army. I brought it up to my server just to ask where they got the plate. Then I told her about the different branches of the Army that were on it. After our meal, she collected the plate, washed it, then brought it out for me to take home at no extra charge. This gesture meant more to me than anyone can understand and speaks more about the character of their staff than you can imagine. I look forward to going back every time! I added a photo of that plate to the pictures of you want to see it. It’s awesome!

Thanks to Unilocal,my friends and I found this gem of a diner. We were road tripping and craving some good breakfast/lunch before our final destination. I can’t imagine us finding a better spot. After spending time reading through the reviews I was dying for eggs benedict. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were informed they stopped serving eggs benedict at 11 on weekdays. I was not the happiest camper, but it ended up working out quite well. I ordered the kitchen sink, and my two friends got the breakfast burrito, and the corned beef hash with eggs. All we’re delicious, but the kitchen sink and burrito took the gold… THEGREENCHILI… Amazing. Mouth watering. Oh and how could I forget… We got a Belgium waffle with whipped cream and strawberries to share. The waffle was crisp and delicious and the syrup had the perfect sweetness. The service is great, the coffee is on fresh, and the food. Well you already know how I feel about that.

Have been back about four times since my last review and I am happy to say that they do not disappoint! Today I stopped in with a friend and decided to try their lunch. I ordered the half Reuben with a cup of chicken soup. I wish I could remember what the full name of the soup because it was a little spicy and a lot tasty! The Reuben was delicious… toasty, savory, and soft. I enjoyed a cup of apricot tea. I love their tea selections. Brandy was our server and was cheery and attentive. Other staff sprinkled in to help with service which I find refreshing. Definitely a chill place to relax and have a meal!

When I lived in Denver I would frequent DJs on average four times a week. The staff is family and the food is delicious comfort food that your mom would dish up. Only it’s even better. I miss the sincerity of the staff when I walk through the door. They remember my name and more than my order, they remember things about my life. DJs is a home away from home to any customer. Whenever I’m in town I plan my flights around brunch time so I can land and head straight to my favorite neighborhood spot. The coffee is strong and every dish I’ve ordered has been incredible. They have great eggs Benedict but in my opinion the blueberry pancakes are where it’s at. They’re big(bigger than your face and worth every indulgent bite) fluffy and have the crispy edges I love. I challenge you to not fall in love with the staff and the food. When I leave and fly home I dream of DJs.

There was a wait. 10 minutes. The blueberry pancakes were great, especially the butter. Pomegranate Green Tea Smoothie was very sweet. Country Fried Steak was not what I expected, but that’s because I’m from Texas and nothing compares. Sausage Gravy didn’t really have a taste to it. Potatoes were abundant and very fried. Biscuit was amazing land fresh with strawberry jelly. Ambiance was great. Family friendly with a bar and excellent service. Totally would come back again but not for the CFS.

I love writing reviews for breakfast joints. I feel that more people needs to eat breakfast. I recently had a conversation with a co worker that said they have never eaten breakfast out in their life. Wow are they missing out. Northwest denver has hundreds of choices for breakfast. Stiff competition. This location on tenneson along has over a handful of options within walking distance of one another. This place is another one of those you are sure to miss if you are just driving by. It’s plain red exterior with an awning looks like any random store front. I in fact was walking within 50 yards of the place and did not realize it was a resturant. Once inside you are greeted with the fun industrial vibe that are in so many resturants in this part of town. The food is simply amazing. I got the chicken fried steak complete with potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit. I am very cautious of ordering this meal because if done incorrectly it can be cooked so tough you will spend over a minute chewing one piece. This is not the case hete. Very tender, almost fall off the bone rib texture. The gravy on it, not your verge white gravy was amazing. It had the right amount of heat on it and a hearty portion of sausage mixed in. The potatoes are cut much smaller then many other breakfast places. I ded not mind thus as each one was cooked to perfection. The. correct amount of crunch and softness. Finally the biscuit was top notch. It was toasted much like a piece of white toast. Their hose made jam was a great co. pliment yo the biscuit. No review would be complete without talking about my wife’s mocha. It’s rich flavor was done to perfection with whip cream on top to decorate it like an artists painting. The next time you are in Northwest denver you gotta try this place.
