Arrived at this restaurant with my service animal. I was informed that my service animal was not allowed in the restaurant. My dog that senses my blood sugar had to wait in the car. If I wasn’t with a group of friends I would have left instantly. The owner was more confrontational than helpful.

Stopped for lunch. Wife and I had gyros which were fresh and very good. We for certain enjoyed our time there!

My husband and I went here on a Travelzoo deal and we had a wonderful experience. We were pretty early on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. The service was perfect throughout our meal. The food was delicious, we especially loved the Greek salad and the flatbread. We had the lamb shank and would recommend it as well. We will definitely be back for flatbread and salad, as those items were especially tasty. Great service, great food, this place is a winner. They also have applied to install a bunch of outdoor seating so that should be great come spring. summer!

The food is always great but it may not be worth the wait. Service is incredibly slow and the never have enough staff working. Brunch took nearly 2hrs for two of us. We watched tables get up and leave. On top of it our bill was totally wrong. Hopefully the owner recognizes this continuous use and solves it. We are about over it here.

This was my first visit, and I must say it won’t be my last. The staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable. My wife and i were walk in’s for brunch. We enjoyed a Bloody Mary, and mimosa while we waited for our gyros. They were brought to us by the manager who noted that we were new faces there. There gyros were as good as I’ve ever had here in the US. Please do yourself a favor and visit this finds establishment, it is well worth your time

I want to preface this by saying I had a bad waiter experience. I ordered the lunch gyro, at brunch. I was brought the breakfast gyro. I informed the waiter that I wanted the lunch gyro and he treated me like it was my fault. We asked to switch to a 4 top from our 2 top table bc we had a friend coming to join us, and the restaurant was half full at the time. Again, the waiter acted annoyed. We switched tables and all of a sudden the manager was waiting on us. I guess the server didn’t want to take us anymore? The manager then asked us if we were using a groupon«by chance». Which, in the service industry is code for, «you don’t seem like you get out much». I know, I was a server for 4 years. The food was good, but this place has an attitude. I am a local resident to Tennyson and I won’t be returning.

Have been to most Mediterranean-style and Greek restaurants in the Denver area by now. I have been to Axios twice. The service is friendly, yet average(can be slightly on the slow side). Once, my partner and I, were sat at a seemingly microscopic table that barely fit a plate for each person. The food is simply ok, not bad, but overall not exceptional enough to warrant the cost. It did not rise beyond Diner-quality food from the east coast(NJ, NY). I cannot justify visiting a third time.

It’s been years since we’ve had a dining experience where everything came together, flavorwise. Especially the calamari…

As a native of Detroit, I searched far and wide for an authentic Greek restaurant in Denver — and Axios delivered on every level. From the imported feta to the perfectly done saganaki, every plate was a treat. I dined with some people who had dietary restrictions, so we also tried the Greek salad, the yemistes(top notch), lentil soup, olive plate and a few others. Axios keeps several Greek wines on the menu along with an ample offering of ouzo and Greek beer. The service was fantastic and the ambiance charming without overdoing the Greek flair. We will definitely be returning.

I was in Denver for business in late Sept. This place was crowded and we came closer to closing time. Get the flaming cheese. It is not only good, it is cool! One coworker had some steak. I had a lamb dish. The dishes were very good, but not your traditional Greek food you get for lunch. They had some unique way of making it that I have not seen at other Greek places. Though I’ve never gone to a sit-down greek place for dinner before this, so I may be wrong about it being super unique. Our waiter was great. He had this nice loud radio voice narration. I think he could definitely have a side job calling out sports games.

We had purchased the living social deal and were glad we did. We ordered the Saganaki — which was good but wasn’t as salty as the ones we had in Greece(which makes it sooo good) and I’d rather they didn’t have customers put out the flame using lemon because it’s a little dangerous, we weren’t really sure how long to keep it going(which we had kept it longer in hindsight to cook a bit more) and then I had one very lemony hand after doing so. I’d prefer if the waiter handled this. We ordered the Greek omelet and the Ciabatta French toast. The omelet was very good but the potatoes were tough and dried out. The French toast had good flavors but not sure ciabatta really works for French toast, was also a bit hard to eat since ciabatta is a tough bread! We got our dessert to go because we were stuffed by this point. Overall, the place is much nicer than it may appear on the outside and without the deal, it would have been an expensive meal but worth the trip!

We really enjoyed our experience here. I purchased a Living Social deal where we received two entrées, a pastry to share and two Mimosas(which we paid a little extra to get them bottomless). The restaurant itself is not very big, however it is long. It offers a full bar with an overhead TV to catch the game. Our food was tasty, however my boyfriend did not receive gyro meat which he had ordered in his Omelet. This ended up being no big deal as the chef came out to our table to apologize directly to him and let him know they were bringing him out a side of gyro meat, which we both felt was great customer service. We will definitely be returning!

When we got here, the staff was jamming to Nelly. Then when customers started coming in, they put on the Greek version of Nelly. Still not as upbeat but hey, it’ll do. Grace was our waitress and she took care of us. Super down to earth and nice! I ordered a breakfast pita which turned into a breakfast gyro and was absolutely amazing! On the way to the restroom, you have to pass the kitchen. I just wanted to pull up a table and sit right next to there! I love the atmosphere, the food and the people. This will be on the forefront whenever I venture to this part of town again. Usually, with a Groupon or Living Social deal, the experience can be unpredictable. This time was a 5 start experience along with the food. Next time, I’ll have to try other menu items!

Great bartender and service! Stopped in tonight for a quick dinner and we were not disappointed! We shared the Greek flatbread and spanakopita. Everything was fresh and delicious. We have ordered carry out before, but if you have time, it’s definitely worth going in and sitting down for a meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Upon entering this establishment I was quickly greeted and seated by the host, the waitress was friendly and prompt, there even was a separate person that kept my water glass filled throughout the entire meal, I ordered the lamb burger, but it was so over seasoned that I couldnt taste anything else. the potato wedges that came with the meal were hard and overcooked. For the extremely high price of their food, one would think that it would actually taste good.

Not impressed. For all the hype this restaurant has, the food isn’t really authentically Greek. The calamari should have been fried, and not sautéed. The Saganaki was too mild… No OPA from me. The pita bread was bland. I sent my moussaka back because it arrived with very little temperature. I can’t stand cold moussaka. The retsina wine was pleasant enough. The waiter/manager was very nice. The restaurant was clean, as was the bathroom. I am still waiting for my Moussaka so I can give you the final verdict… It’s taking forever. Overall, this restaurant didn’t meet my expectations. But in all fairness to the establishment, it wasn’t bad for an Americanized version of Greek food. Verdict on the moussaka:(Moussaka me patates???) I should have ordered the pastichio. Total price for one person(without dessert) was $ 55.00(den axize) without tip. I will tip 18%, and may come back again to give it a 2nd chance.

WOW! What a fabulous«little gem» we found this weekend for breakfast!!! The breakfast, and the staff was absolutely the best! We dine out often, and I have pretty high expectations! This charming little Greek restaurant was unbelievable! I ordered the Greek eggs Benedict with champagne hollandaise. I just couldn’t contain my excitement when I saw fig pancakes on the menu, so of course I had to splurge !!! So glad I did, it also was delicious!!! The entire wait staff was friendly, efficient and extremely accommodating !!! I just cannot wait to try this charming little spot for lunch or dinner. This Greek restaurant is far more than I expected, and hope you enjoy the same wonderful experience as we did!

The hubs and I came here for a late lunch. I love when restaurants offer brunch all day which is exactly what AXIOS does. Why it’s harder to make eggs all day rather than just until 11 has always confounded me but I digress. I ordered the Kalimera pita which was eggs, potatoes and feta wrapped in a pita and topped with a red pepper like catsup. It was really quite tasty although I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. Not a bad thing when it’s jam packed with goodies. The hubs ordered the gyro pita with potato wedges. His pita was packed with a lot of meat. He felt the ratio of sauce to meat was a bit off but the meat had excellent flavor. I ended up eating most of his potatoes because the flavor was really good. If they had been crispier it would have knocked it out of the park!
