Parisi’s bigger and sophisticated brother. Same authentic quality, more elaborate dishes in a restaurant atmosphere one would expect in a true Italian ristorante. Try the Bistecca Piemontese it can hold it’s own to any steakhouse in town. Bön appetito!

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday here. There were 21 of us, which might have been a disaster in some restaurants. However, the service was impeccable and food was great. We never felt rushed or burdensome, which I have experienced before in large groups. The staff was flexible and attentive. We had a lovely dinner and evening with friends. I would recommend Firenze for anyone looking for a cozy romantic Italian dinner to a large group such as ours.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is very intimate and it’s the best Italian food I’ve had in Denver. Our waiter was great and it was a wonderful dinner overall!

Went here for New Year’s Eve 2015 and, sadly, were very disappointed with the quality of food served, as well as the overall pacing of our meal. For a $ 75 per person fixed-price menu, we expected a gracious, welcoming experience. Instead, we felt rushed through a meal that we could have had at a chain restaurant for half the price. Each course arrived just as our last was completed, and in a few cases we still had several bites left on our plates. The servers were attentive but rushed and seemed to be somewhat rattled by the evening crowd, although only 75−80% of the tables were filled. Our courses arrived lukewarm in temperature and had a haphazard, thrown-together look about them. No salad course was offered, and we did not receive bread on our table, although others around us did. No extra napkins or wipes were offered to help clean up after the lobster course, which was somewhat rubbery and congealed. My wine flight($ 30) was unceremoniously plunked down in front of me without explanation of the wines involved. Our desserts were likewise plopped down and quickly followed by the check wallet; we had to request coffee before receiving it. Based on this experience, we won’t be back. A disappointment– could have been a much better experience if the staff had better coordinated the food service.

Great place. Service was excellent. Loved the décor. My wife and I went for our anniversary and had a great meal. The Misto Fritto appetizer was large and delicious. The shrimp tasted like they just came off the shrimp boat. Very fresh!

Bad food, bad service, bad… timing? I certainly hope so, having been here twice and only been treated like sh$& and basically fed sh$&, I hope that I happened upon this lovely Italian joint on the two of the off days any business is sure to have every now and again. Amazing atmosphere, however! Lovely little space with a quaint bar and rustic feel. That said, crap is crap, and I’m not sure if this place is really worth trying again.

Our quest for good Italian in Denver has finally ended. We have probably been to over a dozen Italian restaurants in Denver and this is the only one worth going to, by far. We know Italian, we are from the Northeast where Italian food is as common as Mexican here in Colorado. This place is fantastic. The food is great. Wine selection also amazing. Service, well bottom line, the service was the best we’ve ever had in the service bottomless pit that is the Denver Metro Area. No matter where you go, fancy or casual, the service in Denver is terrible but not here. It is a bit pricey but that comes with the territory of a place that has good food, drink, and service. I’m happy to pay for quality. Go check this place out, especially if you have been searching for good Italian.

Make sure you walk downstairs when you first get to the restaurant– there are two restaurants at this location. Very charming ambiance– sort of like an Italian farmhouse. Very rustic and warm. Highly recommend their caprese salad and salmon– simple and delicious dishes. And do not skimp on eating the delicious bread! And finish it all off with a glass of wine(most seemed to be by the bottle, but there were still plenty options by the glass) Service was attentive and speedy. I’ll be back.

I don’t give 5 stars. Well I just don’t. But this place is a solid 4.9. I wanted to give it only one star so you wouldn’t go there; I want this place all to myself. But the folks at Firenze(and their upstairs casual place Parisi) deserve the accolades. This place is utterly fantastic. First, you won’t find Lasagne, or spagetti and meat balls, or any of that other stuff perfected by Chef Boyardee.. .. .. this place is the real deal for authentic and fresh Tuscan creations. Try everything on the menu — it’s that good. I can never eat there without starting off with the Carpaccio — so thin, so high quality is just melts in your mouth. My favorite dish is Pappardelle con Cinghiale. .. . slow-roasted wild boar ragu with fresh wide pasta noodles that are so delicate! The room can get a little noisy, since it’s on the lower level. As many reviewers state, it gives you the feeling of being in a cozy wine cellar — check out the photos on their web site. The wine list is huge, and offers some amazing stuff from all over the world, and best that Italy has to offer. But please — don’t go there; I want to get a table :)

A friend of mine told me about this place but didn’t have much to say since she was a much bigger fan of Parisi’s upstairs. Firenze a Tavola was quite a surprise! Not only is it authentic Italian as other reviewers say, but the food is extremely fresh and the plating is eye catching. We had the Cartoccio di Coccoli which was amazing. Perfectly warm, light and airy pieces of fried pizza dough without tasting greasy in any way. The prosciutto was so fresh it tasted less than an hour old. The nice thing about it was it wasn’t overly salty like some prosciuttos can get. Next had the Tortelli Mugellani which had a simple but rich and tasty bolognese sauce. My wife had one of the specials today(Sea Bass). I can’t attest to it since I am not a fish guy, but my wife loved it and cleaned the plate. For desert we had their special dessert of the day as well of cheesecake covered with a strawberry compote. I’ve had my fair share of NY cheesecakes and this one beats them all. Super light and flavors are on point. Strawberry compote was simply the perfect compliment. The atmosphere is very Tuscan’ish with old style yellows and areas of exposed brick. Lighting was slightly dark and music was playing in the background but they knew the right volume and not to blast it like some do. Service was fantastic. I was attended to promptly at every point of the meal. Everything here tasted like it was all homemade. I can’t wait to come back!

The appetizer and dinner selection is grade A! We always end up having the same waitress and she always recommends something different. We’ve yet to have something we haven’t found to be great! The desserts are decent, but I’m not big on desserts anyway.

As you make your decent into the restaurant it’s dimly lit and an intimate atmosphere. After finally being seated, it seemed as if they had forgotten is. Twenty minutes had gone by as my friend was getting impatient, that’s when I said something to a server passing by as he just finished waiting on his table. Of course he was very sincere and apologetic even prompted to take our orders even though we weren’t in his section. When there’s no spaghetti on the menu it’s got to be authentic right? I thought this was the best Italian I’ve had thus far! The beef carpaccio was delicious. The beef was sliced thin and tender and wasn’t overly saturated with saltiness as I’ve experienced at other restaurants. I forget the entrée that I ordered, but it was like a veal ragu which was pretty good. So an appetizer, two entrees, and a glass of Merlot cost me all but $ 50 which was pretty cheap in my opinion. With the exception of the minor snafu from completely being forgotten, the food and the server who took care of us made up for it. Can’t wait to frequent this place again.

Delicious and delightful. Hidden beneath Parisi, this intimate dining experience is a real gem. Though I haven’t been to Italy, it feels like they have achieved their goal of authentic Tuscan dining. Though all the dishes were delightful, the fried pizza dough was amazing. Don’t miss it!

What a great atmosphere in the basement and is great for the large group of friends we were with. Quiet enough to still be able to talk and hear all at the table. The wine selection is great and not overly priced. We started with the antipasto appetizer for the table, what a great selections of cheese, bread, meats all was excellent. At the table we had many different selections for dinner and all of us passed around some food to share, the veal was excellent, the fruit of the sea dish was great, steak was very tasty and tender and the ravioli’s of all flavors were excellent. When desert came we were all pretty much done, however the server suggested some gelato from upstairs that is not on the menu and must say was excellent choice. This is definitely a great place to bring some friends or even just a romantic spot for two for an enjoyable dinner that wont break the bank!

Firenze was very accommodating for my party of 8 on a Friday night. I originally made reservations for 10 online and had no trouble booking it. I then got an e-mail notification that my reservation was cancelled without my doing so. I called the restaurant and asked about why they canceled my reservation and they told me that someone in my party called and said that their son was sick and therefore canceled. It was a mistake however and that person was not in my party. I am surprised that Firenze wasn’t better about confirming the name, number, or time of the party to ensure that they were canceling the correct party. Nevertheless, I was able to reschedule the reservation, but this time for a party of 8. My party was running late and Firenze was very kind about allowing us to push the party back 45 minutes. I thought perhaps that the restaurant must have been really empty or dead of they were able to so easily accommodate to our large party but upon arriving to the restaurant I saw that they were actually pretty busy. Toward the end of the night at least 75% of the tables seemed occupied. They have their own small private lot(for both the restaurant upstairs Parisi and for them). You have to walk into Parisi and then go down the stairs to get to Firenze. I read many other reviews on Unilocal that complained about the loud noise but I had no trouble talking to my party during the dinner. I thought the noise level was appropriate and the sound from upstairs didn’t overly amplify like others had mentioned. I, however, have always liked a lively and more busy atmosphere however so if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner then perhaps this might be a concern. Like other reviews mentioned, the ambience is lovely in this basement restaurant. Walls are made of brick and the tables are made of sturdy wood. There’s wine bottles against several of the walls and curtains that section of a different area of the room. I thought all of the textures made the atmosphere feel intimate, warm and European. I tried a dish from the Primi part of the menu. I ordered the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare e Crostacei for $ 23(linguine tossed in white wine garlic sauce with oak fire roasted tomatoes, clams and lobster tail). I also tried my friend’s Ravioli d’ Aragosta for $ 1(house made ravioli filled with lobster, shrimp, red bell pepper and herbs tossed in a rich lobster brandy cream with basil oil). I thought that the portions were a great size and the plating/presentation were also very attractive. My dish came topped with a nice large lobster tail, 5 – 6 mussels, ~4 shrimps and ~2 clams. The amount of seafood was satisfactory and the amount of noodles were also plenty to get me full. I’ve had many frutti di mares in the past, in both the US& in Italy and thought that the subtle flavors of this one was in line with how pasta dishes are traditionally made in Italy(less heavy on sauce, light flavor, almost even bland if you’re accustomed to savory American dishes). The pasta noodle itself could have tasted fresher(or at least a little bit softer). The lobster ravioli dish had great sized ravioli with plenty of lobster inside. The stuffing was a tad on the dry side for me but I did appreciate the amount of ravioli that were given and the quantity of seafood in each bite. Though it took a while for us to get our food ordered, I thought service was very friendly and nice. Our waiter was very helpful with guiding us through the wine selection. We wanted something sweet but not too dessert-like so we tried a white wine called damilano. It was very pleasant & not overly sweet. Time was limited and my belly was full(from both the pasta and all of the yummy complimentary focaccia bread and olive oil) so I unfortunately did not get to try any of their desserts. I was able to peek at others’ desserts however and they looked delicious. I will definitely make more room for dessert next time.

This place is so Italian it makes you feel like you were transplanted in Florence for the evening. Our server was straight from northern Italy. This place is super romantic. Wonderful Italian music playing. Love the ambiance feels like you’re in a cave wine cellar. Portion sizes are large. Extensive Italian wine list. We had the Cesar salad, Beef carpaccio, Tortellini with bolognese and the Salmon. Everything was amazing. They start you off with Bread with dipping sauce. Amazing super Tuscan wine. Soooo good!!!

3 of us had dinner on Monday evening 8÷25÷14. It is restaurant week and so we ordered off of that menu. The ravioli with squid ink was said to be very good, the pork loin was good but tended toward dry, and the pork ribs were greasy. Dessert was disappointing, the tiramisu did not appear to be that at all, it was some sort of whipped cream and pound cake concoction plopped on the plate. The waiter tried to play it off as a different type of tiramisu. Had made a reservation a couple of months ago to get together with friends but the restaurant called the day before and stated that a private party had booked the entire downstairs and they could not accomodate us. They promised to flag my name and give us a free dessert when we came in the next time. Well, the next time was last night, and no, they did nothing for us.

My boyfriend and I got invited here for a client appreciation dinner hosted by the financial firm I invest with and holy crap was it good! This was the first time I’ve been here and before that I’ve never even heard of it. This restaurant is situated underneath of another restaurant called Parisi, so walking it you’d think it was a very casual place but then as you walk downstairs to Firenze you get taken into a more rustic atmosphere with exposed brick, perfect for date night. Being that we were part of a group, we had a prix fixe menu. First course was a platter of different cheeses, meats, bruschetta and veggies; all so very flavorful, I was obsessed with the bruschetta. Second course, I chose a salad with iceberg lettuce, pears, walnut, gorgonzola cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette; it was okay, I wish had more vinaigrette! Third course, I got the lobster and shrimp ravioli with a sherry wine sauce. oh my gosh so delicious, I wish I saved some for leftovers! My boyfriend had the NY strip steak with roasted potatoes and asparagus, holy crap I couldn’t stop my self from eating off his plate, for such a simple dish it was so flavorful. For dessert, we got tiramisu, definitely made in house, strong espresso taste. Service was great! Having over 50 people, all the servers handle everything with grace. They catered to every little request we had and even joked around with us! We’ll definitely be coming back here to check out the full menu. Until next time!

Great underground(literally) N Italian joint in the Highlands. Situated below Parisi this low-ceilinged-spot will transport you to Firenze with its raucous din and über friendly staff. While I’m fairly certain that most of the items on the menu are spectacular I specifically sampled the duck ragu and sea bream. Both are definitely worth a try. The only dish that I found a little underwhelming was the butterscotch budino — but the strawberry gelato more than made up for it. They also have a healthy selection of robust Tuscan reds if that’s the way you like it. N.B. There is no lift to take you downstairs from Parisi so if you are mobility restricted the stairs may pose a bit of a challenge. Once you’re downstairs though the staff is more than accommodating. There’s also a cute little bar that looks like it may be a good rendezvous getaway from the world upstairs as well.
