First Ave Liquor Store

First Ave is a decent little liquor store between First and Second on the west side of Broadway. The store itself is very small, just a walk in area with a U shaped counter coming down.
They’ve got a small beer and liquor selection, and a slightly larger wine selection — the wine extends all the way down the north side of the store. Unfortunately, since everything is behind the counter, you can’t really browse it much for yourself. But, in the past the staff has been helpful enough (though not overly friendly), I doubt they’d mind spending some time helping you find something you like.
Prices are definitely a little higher than at larger stores, but — of course — that’s the price you pay for neighborhood convenience.
