I just went here for brunch. It is a really cute place with outdoor seating too. The service is really good, friendly wait staff. I had the black bean dish, it was unlike anything I’ve ever had; and, incredibly delicious. My friends had breakfast burritos, and said they were amazing. My other girlfriend had yogurt and fruit, she really liked it. Really cute atmosphere, and just a little gem. Definitely try it!!!

Very cute little place, but needs a good cleaning. decided to have brunvh after the Furry Scurry at Wash Prk. Waited about 30 min to be seated for 12pm brunch with no rez, but the food was EXCELLENT and worth the wait. Quiche, excellent. French dip sandwich, good, Crêpe, excellent, cinnamon rolls, orgasmic. French press coffee was a treat too.

Overall, super good and super amazing! For a restaurant with a wait, there’s not really a space to wait for your table where you don’t feel in the way of the servers.(They have a text service, so this isn’t terrible).

I do love Gaia. I hear they are closing and moving and I hope they tell us where they go! A Platte Park neighborhood gem that is an old house with great seating in books within, and throughout their patio and front yard. Their breakfast do not disappoint. The pulled pork green chili eggs Benedict was scrumptious, and it went well with the giant carafe of Mimosas we share. Good thing I was walking home. A very good bargain on the mimosa by carafe, btw– easily 6 mimosas in there for $ 18. Get here before it closes, and bye Gaia! We will miss you– you will leave a hole…

Menu is great. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was great; patio seating is really nice. Service was the part they missed. I’d say 8 – 10 minutes passed between being seated and getting greeted by our server. The girl who sat us was cheerful/friendly, but our server seemed a little detached. Ordered coffee, which took another 8 – 10 minutes. Once the coffee hit the table we ordered food, which came in good time, was very tasty, and overall the entire menu is priced reasonably. Just need to motivate staff a little; minimal sense of urgency, slow service from our server. I’ll try it again, maybe she was having an off day.

We live close and were really looking forward to visiting Gaia. However, while the food and service was nice enough, this place was just plain dirty. We first noticed dust hanging out in our water glasses. We used our napkins and hands to catch visible«floaters» and drank away, then ordered mimosas. When brought to our table, our glasses were dirty, coated with old OJ pulp. Whatever, this place is small and probably used a regular dish washer, so we got over it. We ordered the blueberry compote«ricotta» crepes, which ended up being blueberry compote and canned whipped cream. Not a big deal. The crepes were prepared well enough to shake that off. I ordered the egg sandwich, which I enjoyed two bites of until I noticed the pink sausage and hair on my plate, then had to call it. Three strikes, OUT.

Food: pretty good Service: awful Condition of restaurant: awful My BF and I went to Gaia for brunch on 2÷14÷16. Our food was reasonably good but the service and the overall condition of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. This was my first, and probably last, visit to Gaia. We were seated & drink orders were taken. The coffee arrived a bit later but my mimosa never did make an appearance. We had to ask the hostess if we could place our order since our waitress never came back to the table. The food arrived in a decent amount of time. Drinks were never refilled, no one ever checked on us, we had to ask(the hostess again) for our check. Additionally, the restaurant was just dirty. Many tables needed to be cleared(and this place isn’t exactly huge), the floor was dirty, the walls were dirty. It wasn’t crazy busy and there were 3 wait staff and a hostess. Plenty of people to be attentive to both customers and what needs to be done in the restaurant. With so many great options on Pearl St, I would suggest stepping up your game.

We have been looking for new breakfast places. I even started a Talk thread on Unilocal.Gaia Bistro came highly recommended, so why not? We found the restaurant with no problem, located on Pearl Street, in a quaint house. There are approximately 5 rooms on the first floor, with 3 of them for seating, so there are approximately 7 – 9 tables, small. We were seated in the front room. My only complaint with this was we were seated at a double table pulled together, which I have no problem with. The thing I wasn’t crazy about was that I could not pull my chair up to the table all the way, with the legs under the table. My chair legs hit the table legs, so I had to lean over to get close to the table, close to my plate. I looked around, and none of the other tables were that way. Oh well. The menu is small, with: Egg Dishes, Scrambles, Benedicts, Southwest, Soups/Salads, Sandwiches, and Crepes. We were there specifically for breakfast, so I didn’t look at the Soups/Salads or Sandwiches. I ordered«The Basic,» which is eggs, bacon, and a choice of a side, for $ 9. I asked for my eggs to be over easy, but was told they only fix eggs as scrambled or poached. I ordered the poached eggs. Question, why can’t they fix eggs any other way? Do they have a full kitchen? I’m not sure. My meal was served, and it was good, nothing outstanding. The bacon was a little burned, and the gluten free toast was also a little burned as well. Yes, I know gluten free toast has to be watched, as it cooks/toasts differently. I guess they don’t know that there, or my dish wasn’t checked before it was served to me. My husband had the chorizo baked eggs, with white cheddar and onions. His dish looked good, better than mine. My husband said it was good, not too spicy. As I have written before, I LOVE breakfast, and I always order bacon and eggs, for comparison, whenever we go to a new restaurant for breakfast. The bacon and eggs here were not outstanding, nothing to write home about. Prior to ordering our meal, the waitress brought out two slices of «sweet bread.» We split one slice, and cut into it. It was ok, actually dry. I was expecting more, I mean, «sweet bread.» I have a HUGE sweet tooth, and this«sweet bread» was not sweet. I can pass on their«sweet bread.» Coffee — took a while to get coffee, but when it was brought out, it was french press, so that made sense. I only wish the waitress had told us it was french press, that it would take a few minutes longer, that would have been fine. Am I being picky, maybe, but it would have been courteous to tell us that. I needed my coffee. Interior — the restaurant/house is quaint, with intimate seating, as the tables are small, so you are able to hear the people you are having a meal with. Parking — on the street, but parking should not be a problem. If you live in the area, it would be a nice place to go to, but having to drive there, living out of the area, it’s not worth the drive. Disappointed because of all the other wonderful reviews. Oh well.

I have walked Pearl street probably hundreds of times, and I have always seen Gaia Bistro and never thought to check it out! I am so glad I was able to give their breakfast a try! Both the interior and the exterior absolutely adorable(how could something based out of a former house not be adorable?) Inside the seating is arranged in all the different«rooms» of the house which equals cozy, quaint, and comfy dining. Outside, there is patio seating as well as tables out in the yard. There isn’t an abundance of seats, so expect a wait time almost always! The menu is rustic and the best way I can describe it is comfortable! Nothing is too out of the ordinary, and everything tastes great! I especially loved the french press coffee they bring to your table. My only complaint is that my order was completely wrong(as in, I was cooked something I didn’t order) but my waitress comped my meal to make up for the error. It was a super pleasant breakfast experience and I will come back soon!

You will never go wrong with anything at this bistro. From the quiche to the Gaia Benedict, the menu boast unique blends of flavors. The Cuban is also a favorite from this menu. The cozy cottage setting is perfect for that warm close feeling of sharing a meal with those you love.

Really glad I was turned on to this little bistro by a friend. It’s a quaint and intimate setting that’s been transformed from a house into a café. The menu features mostly crepes, benedicts, breakfast items and salads. Coffees and teas are one of their specialties. I ordered a breakfast scramble with bacon, mushrooms and swiss. I have to say it was soo delicious! I can’t make scrambled eggs this good at home. Another wonderful aspect of the meal: absolutely fresh fruit. Yup, not frozen, squishy and mealy stuff but the fresh stuff that’s been hand-cut. I can imagine there’s a bit of a wait here on the weekends, but based on the flavorful meal I had, I think a wait would be worth it!

Stopped at the Gaia Bistro for breakfast and was totally blown away. From the ambiance to the décor to the amazing staff, just everything about this place is on point. I ordered the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict and it was incredible. I am huge fan of Eggs Benedict and these were the best I have ever eaten. I definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants to have an amazing meal if you are in Pearl Street area. The staff will treat you like you are the only guest and the setting is perfect.

I came across this place on a cross country roadtrip with my mom and my dog. Initially, mother wanted to only eat Asian food during the trip but I convinced her to try this place out! ESP with the great reviews + pictures on Unilocal.(We also chose this place bc it’s dog friendly) Upon arrival I found this place to be quite adorable. It looks like they changed a house into a restaurant and we sat at the patio with our dog. Here’re the reason why I only gave them 2 stars: Spacing: The tables were so small that I heard EVERY word from the table next to us. It was very very uncomfortable esp bc the topics discussed were very personal! Food: We got the free pressed coffee, soup of the day, pablano entrée, and huevos rancheros. Coffee was very good but the food was over spiced. I forget the soups name but it looked like chicken noodle soup and it was so spicy. My huevos rancheros was wayyy too salty. The service was very good but because the food was so bleh My mom refuses to eat anything other than Asian food for the rest of our trip! Sad faceeee

Depending on the dish, the food is good to great. But the service is just awful. The servers are maybe the worst I’ve had at any restaurant in my adult life. Slow, unresponsive and inattentive. There is no concept of «turn over» at this place. And this is not a one time issue — we’ve taken our out-of-state family there on 3 – 4 occasions, and the service has been this way every time. I’m officially done with this place. Too bad — I really wanted to like it.

Gaia is such a wonderful little spot! I have been gluten free for a few years now and I love the fact that Gaia has so many GF options. I don’t feel like I am missing out on any fun menu items. They have gluten free bread for all the sandwiches, they have GF crepes too. I’ve had a little bit of everything from the savory and sweet crepes to the egg dishes. I have to say, my absolute favorite are the savory crepes. So incredible. I haven’t been here for dinner yet, but I am looking forward to trying that out as well. Their french press coffee is rich and strong and perfect for breakfast time. I have always had great experiences here, the food, and the employees are wonderful.

Gaia Bistro was a nice quaint house with a staff that makes you feel very welcomed and at home. The indoor seating is in two main rooms which isn’t the biggest space but you have your own area so it’s breathable. The yard around the house is decked with additional seating when the weather cooperates. Can’t wait to get back on a sunny day. The food was made better by the very accommodating staff that always had a smile on their face. Definitely check in to get the free French press. The small will get about three cups of coffee. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and my girlfriend got the salmon crêpe. We both enjoyed mine more but id say if you’re a fan of smoked salmon you will fancy both. On a plus side, right when you sit down the waiter/waitress will bring by some homemade bread! Delicious food, I’d recommend the salmon Benedict!

As much as I wanted to like this cute little breakfast/brunch place, I didn’t. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or it was an off day but it did not amaze me the way I expected it to. The atmosphere here is homely, and there’s limited seating inside but they have a lovely patio you can sit and eat at on a sunny day. I checked-in here with my boyfriend and we got free French press coffee, they even have sugar cubes– very nice! They also serve you one of their daily pastries/bread, that day we got a blueberry muffin-ish bread with butter and it was great starter imo. I ordered the house smoked salmon crêpe and my boyfriend got the house smoked salmon Benedict. My order sounded better in the menu though. They put so much smoked salmon in my crêpe, probably a filet full, chopped in extremely big bulks. The crème fraîche, capers, and red onions it was suppose to come with were scarce. Barely a drizzle of the crème fraîche, making the dish a bit too dry for my liking. My boyfriend seemed to enjoy his dish though, his smoked salmon benedicts cane with green chile and a red pepper coulis. I tried his and I secretly liked his wayyyyy better than mine. Sighs. We didn’t get dessert though the lemon ricotta crêpe with blueberry seemed very tempting. Don’t get me wrong, Gaia is still a nice place to eat, and I intend on coming back and giving it another shot.

Great brunch spot with a menu that carries all the basics, with an appreciated unique twist. The staff was friendly and catered well to the dairy free allergies of my friend. The burrito was good sized and the deliciously massive sausage patties were a steal for only 3 $. I had the stuffed poblano which was a good portion and perfectly seasoned. Plus I have to tip my had to the innovation of stuffing a poblano with eggs and cheese. Only complaint is with the french press coffee. I just don’t understand it, what is the idea behind serving a press with more coffee than can go in the cups? Am I suppose to chug the coffee and refill as quickly as possible? Or am I suppose to just let the coffee sit in the press for 15mins? –Read up on it, the whole idea of the french press is to keep the grounds from soaking to long, that is key to good rich flavor. With that being said, you can’t blame them. So many hip brunch spots are serving coffee this way that it is practically required.

Gaia is an adorable restaurant nestled in a small cozy house functioning as an intimate dining space suitable for a brunch for two. The quaint space is divided into small areas with bistro style tables that are elegantly awaiting your arrival with muffins on the table. The coffee available is French Press, naturally, and so silky, smooth, and rich — a perfect compliment to the welcome blueberry muffin. Just with this initial introduction, I knew I was in for an even better entrée experience. With an abundance of savory and sweet crepes choices, it was hard to land on just one. Vacillating between the smoked salmon with crepes and onion and the smoked turkey — I had a last minute mind change and went with the chicken crêpe with poblano, red pepper, onion and a jalepeno, garlic crema, and I was not upset about my choice. The crêpe definitely could have been more full of flavor and ingredients, but the chicken and peppers were fresh and delish. It’s just that the crêpe to crêpe contents ratio was a little imbalanced. Overall, this adorable eatery is at the top of my list for breakfast spots, and I look forward to returning. If anything for the ambiance.
