What’s worse than a bar run by misogynistic men who take advantage of the drunk, female customers? Oh, nothing. This place is disgusting and I have seen first hand the bartenders take advantage of the customers and pass them back and forth like they’re a piece of meat. I went one night with a girlfriend and got harassed outside by a group of men walking by and them after the macho bartenders tried to fight these guys, they told US to apologize for causing the fight. You know, the women who were just harassed by the men were told to apologize. Unbelievable. This place doesn’t even deserve one star and I’d say the guy’s name if I could remember it.

I was very happy to have just gotten off work and I come to the bar with some friends. One of them asked the bartender if they had any specials going in the night, the dude rolls his eyes at him and says: what do you want? Clearly, working in the industry, we ALL are trying to save a little bit of money. I asked him the same question and he did the exact same thing, I do NOT appreciate this kind of treatment and I will definitely not come back here nor recommend it.

Me and my boyfriend went there last night because we wanted to try the red bull slushy. We’d been to gaslamp one time previously and weren’t really impressed with the staff so we left after one drink. Last night the bar was busy, but not packed. We stood at the bar for about 10 minutes and weren’t acknowledged once by any of the 3 bartenders. Not once. They served people around us. After wasting ten minutes we decided to leave. On the way out, one of the door people said something like«have a good night.» I don’t recall my exact words, but I responded by saying that it would have been nice if I was acknowledged by the bartenders. This man then became increasingly rude by the second and said that I should have went to the smaller bar if I wanted service, that he’s a bartender and when he’s bartending he serves everyone. He started to yell at me, basically. Another door man agreed that we should have went to the smaller bar if we wanted to be served. Um, what? What does that even mean? Then, as I was walking across the street, then guy yelled that it was my fault I wasn’t acknowledged by the bartenders. I’m sorry, how is it my fault? Did I not look nice enough to be served? He was very condescending and insulting. Most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced. We then went to Maloneys and got drinks right away.

I love Gaslamp. I come here all the time! So many chill down to earth people watching those dope snowboard videos. The reason I rated your establishment one star is because that guy with the Macklemore cut. I think his name is JJ because he used to work at spill. Anyhow, very suggestive comments were made regarding our sexuality & whether or not we’d join him back at his place at Diamond Prospect apartments. Sorry, better luck at Spill buddy, Gaslamp isn’t what is used to be, that’s for sure.

shitty bar. Music is good, drinks are OK and expensive. Bouncers are ridiculously rude and aggressive. Size of the bar is pretty small. Had a terrible experience yesterday when 2 bouncers hurt my friend and kicked all of us out in a very aggressive way and the worst part: for absolutely no reason!!! Worst experience ever. I encourage everyone to avoid going to this awful bar. Hope the manager replaces some of his employees soon(bouncers)

This is a great stop at the start of bar hopping. Not the place I want to stay all night though. I enjoyed the snowboarding and surfing videos. Only got beers so I can’t really vouch for their drinks. We managed to spill beer twice and they were nice and helpful in cleaning it up both times.

This is going to sound weird, but I love the smell of this place. I don’t know what cleaning supplies or fragrances they’re using, but whatever they are, they keep the place smelling fresh. The pingpong table seems a little out of place. This joint is classy so I don’t really get what they’re trying to accomplish with that. If nothing else, it’s just annoying having the pingpong ball roll under your bar stool every 30 seconds while you’re trying to enjoy your expensive drink. I’m just waiting for the day someone steps on a loose ball and takes a spill. Other than the unnecessary fun and games and the attitude our group got from one of the bartenders, the good drinks and chic ambience earn this place 4 stars. I also like that they use crushed ice for cocktails.

Went here on a Saturday night. It was busy, but not overly crowded. The guy checking our ID knew we were from out of town, told us to go to the front bar because there’s no line, and he was right! A lot of good looking people, male and female. Wish there was a little more room for dancing because the music they were playing was fun and random. I like random. Overall had a great time and will be back!

Great crowd and the ping pong tables were a nice touch. I had a great time here with friends for a birthday, but I was not impressed by the attitude of the staff. Shocktop girls were there that night as well which is always fun!

This place was pretty packed on a Friday night with frat boy types and girls who obviously spent some time on themselves for a night on the town. Pretty small space but for some reason part of it is allocated to a ping pong table up front. And it’s difficult to walk past the bar(it’s a square in the middle of the room with seating on all sides) to get to the bathroom in the back. Draft beers weren’t cheap but definitely on the cheaper end of the spectrum; meh selection. You could order Moscow mules but they keep your ID to make sure you return the copper mug– not really the kind of place I’d go with this kind of drink. Good for a bar hopping stop, but nothing really special or somewhere I’d pick my spot for the night.

Hipster spot that has cheap drinks. Not a place where you’ll get a martini or any crazy mixology driven drinks but it’s definitely a place to be seen. Good crowd on the weekends…

PROS: 1. Good drink selection 2. Cool extreme sports on the screens 3. Ping pong 4. LoDo 5. Decent-looking girls in here on a weekend night. CONS: 1. The main bar is located in the back of the space, in the middle. On a weekend night, the bar area is a massive bottleneck. This is not the most efficient use of the space available. 2. Small space I enjoyed this bar for what it is. Not bad, not great. It’s good enough to chat up some randos while waiting to nudge your way toward the cramped bar.

Considering how wishy washy the reviews for this place are, why are there so many damn people there on a Saturday night? During the week its usually pretty dead so people are there for the ping pong and a quiet drink in which case, I feel like there are more interesting places to go(I can live without ping pong). On the weekends I sometimes get coaxed in here by a friend looking for something more upscale than Pour House or Nallens and less stuffy than suite 200 or whatever place is across the street. Its always packed, and yes a little smarmy. The patio is tiny. When your in the mood to be packed into a bar and forced to make friends with the people around you, this is the place.

I went to Gaslamp on Saturday night with my sister who was in from out of town. We had full drinks in front of us that we had just purchased from the bartender, but when she realized it was getting close to close, she took them away and dumped them out! I was obviously not pleased that she let me buy drinks and then dumped them down the drain. When I told her that I wanted my money back, she laughed and said«See you later, b****es!» UNBELIEVABLE. I’d be incredibly embarrassed that I hired such an unprofessional staff if I were Gaslamp management. Believe me, they won’t see me or anyone I know at Gaslamp«later.»

I came here on a random Sunday Funday and found it to be pretty MEH. –Only a few people in the bar. –Limited specials were offered. –A massive ping pong [and sometimes beer pong] table sits in the middle of the VIP section. –Staff=not the best. I might try here again on a different night, but as of right now, my experience was pretty lackluster.

There are exactly 3 reasons to go here: 1) Sexy sexy women in all types of outfits. College girls, to women old enough to be my mom. I have never seen so many mini skirts, lace stockings, and high heels while it was 30 degrees outside. 2) Drinks 3) Sexy sexy women in all types of outfits, dancing in their sluttiest of ways after reason number 2. There are exactly 3.5 reasons not to go here: 1) Douchebag central. 1.5) You have a girlfriend, unless its an open relationship and in that case cheers to you. 2) No more ping pong table. 3) Moving around in here is pretty much futile effort. So hopefully you find a spot next to a hot chick who’s willing to talk and you dont have to roam far. But good luck getting to the bar to buy her a drink. I love Denver!

Gaslamp has a bar meets Apple Store motif. It’s like the future as depicted in 80s movies. I can imagine Back To The Future’s Marty McFly drinking at Gaslamp’s glossy white counter, wearing a windbreaker with padded shoulders and acid washed jeans. But actually the service is fast and friendly in serving tequila, which I felt out-of-place drinking with my friend. Also, Gaslamp has a ping pong table situated so that wayward balls bounce right off on to Larimer. Good times.

Pretty solid spot. Updated look inside and out as well as snowboarding videos playing on the LCD’s. They have a ping pong table which is cool for when it is slow but it is a little cramped to play a serious game. Fun for just messing around though. They remove the table for when it gets busy and it is still very tight in there around the island bar. Overall, this is a good spot if you are looking for the modern bar look for happy hour but it suffers from the same issues most places with an island bar experience. Recommend you find a more spacious venue for your weekend bar adventures.

Dood, are they trying to turn LoDo into San Diego or what? Next thing you know, we’ll have a Croce’s across the street and we’ll be calling the light rail the blue line. But, I digress. This place is pretty cool. A friend and I were looking for a drink and some music on a Sunday night. We dropped in here by recommendation of a bartender at The Cooler. They had beer pong going on(yay) but we were told they don’t do this on a regular basis, only when it’s really slow(boo). We snagged a table on the patio. It’s a small patio, only a few tables. But, as I recall it was the PBR that was on special for a couple bucks a draft and it was cold. I would imagine that this place gets pretty packed, but I would definitely drop back in on a slower night. Everyone that worked there was super nice and friendly. The big, rectangle bar in the middle of the room has plenty of stools and elbow room, so it’d be a comfy place to drag along a couple of friends.

My group did not get to Gaslamp until well into the Saturday night hours(around midnight). Maybe I was not tipsy enough, but my immediate instinct as I walked into the body-to-body packed front area was to turn around and run away screaming. Alas, it was a friend’s birthday so I could not do that. The floor was already very sticky and for a while I wasn’t sure if I could find space to breathe. The music(as perhaps all douchey bars in Lodo) was a few decibels too loud to be comfortable. The bar is so huge and the space was so narrow that there is not much room to move around the bar. It was fairly dark but it seemed like your usual modern trendy bar. I must have missed the ping-pong table because I was stuck in the back corner most of the time. There was a pretty good mix in age, but for me, it felt much more like a young undergrad-aged place to be, and maybe a little too much for a not-quite-tipsy 27 year old. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good night out, but Gaslamp– not for me and my group.
