Used to love this watering hole and made frequent stops when I visited my accounts in Denver. My last stop in will probably be my last. Stopped in, had some drinks and ordered an app. Had another drink and closed my tab and left. Checked my account a few days later and had an additional charge for a separate amount. Called and asked if they would pull receipts from the day I was in and was told that the owner or manager was the only person who could. Left several messages with no returned phone call… Stopped in again and asked to speak to someone that could help and no one could. It was the snotty remark from the bar tender who said maybe I got drunk and bought everyone a round that was the final nail in the coffin. Will never spend my time or money there again unfortunately, especially since they already have my $ 35.

No service finally just left. Not acknowledged once. Unfortunately I have to give 1 star :(

Shuffle board and good beer. Enough said. We didn’t eat here but they played amazing 90’s Rock grunge which is a winner in my book. The bartender was friendly and made us feel at home.

Only had drinks here, which were a bit pricey, especially when every other nearby bar had a happy hour and specials going on. They had none here. Drinks were tasty and strong otherwise.

Please turn it down, too loud. When the DJ clears the first floor, pushing all 50 patrons to the second level, that should say something. Cheap drinks and decent service, but COMEON, just give the people what they want.

Wow, stopped in on around 10 pm and place it’s dead and roof top is closed! Getting attitude from the bartender cause i was interrupting his game with the girl he was talking to. Back in the day this place always was hopping, but not no more. As well the bartenders treated you with respect! Find a new place to drink!

I have to give this place 4 stars because I love a bar that has a great rooftop. It’s not a very large rooftop area, but it’s got a great view and it’s a fun place on a Sunday to meet with friends and have drinks. I’ve only been here once but the staff was nice and the drinks were good. Not only were the drinks good and not ridiculously over poured, but they were cheap too! It’s nice going out during the day and finding a place that doesn’t have drinks that are $ 10 each. I had fun here and the crowd wasn’t annoying even though there weren’t a ton of people here. I’ll definitely be coming again on a «Sunday funday» to hang out with my friends. I’m sure on the weekend nights this place is packed.

I missed the memo, and I guess this bar has new ownership or a new manager or something. I was bummed to find out the pizza is gone, and it is no longer a Boston bar. Still a great location with a nice rooftop bar.

This place used to have a decent pulled pork sandwich. Now it’s half the size, no flavor, no BBQ taste at all, and on a burnt bunt so all you taste is burnt bread. Even though I only had a few bites I was charged the full price with the bartender saying he can’t remove it from my tab. BS, I know all servers have that ability to do so. Unfortunately, like many places in Denver, they price gouge their beer and drinks, and got cheap on the food that used to be very respectable. Go somewhere else. You can get the same beer for a few bucks cheaper per pint and way better food. Went there to see if it was still a good place but it’s not… not at all.

***THISISNOLONGER A BOSTONBAR*** They’ve updated their menu & décor and it’s gotten better. I’m definitely still a fan for a couple drinks. It’s a decent place that gets loud and rowdy and all of that. They still say on their website that they’re a Boston bar, but don’t be fooled. On a pretty low key Wednesday night they were more than happy to turn the Bruins game on tv, but refused to put game sound on. I was a little shocked, and said, they should stop calling themselves a Boston bar if they wouldn’t focus on Boston sports. She said they aren’t a Boston bar anymore and are still working out the kinks of that… She was super polite and friendly but I was frustrated I have to find a new place to actually get game sound for my Bruins, Patriots, and Sox.

Stopped in here because we saw they were a rooftop bar. Good find for a first-timer! It was a little rainy and cold when we made it in but the rooftop has a decent view of downtown Denver. It’s got a nice relaxed feel up top that makes for a great place to hang and actually converse with friends or company. Downstairs is definitely a busier, more energetic place to hang where you can play shuffle board or scream at some games playing on the TVs. They also play loud music to make it a fun environment. Drinks ran about $ 6 a pop and it didn’t take much to have one ordered. I’d swing by this place again next time I’m in town.

At a place called the Pour House, I expected more beers on tap. Nice outdoor space, reasonable prices for downtown.

An easy going bar with good service, decent drink choices at reasonable prices, and above average bar food. They have a pizza with green chilies and sour cream that is delicious! The rooftop patio is killer in good weather; probably one of the best ones in town because while it gets busy it doesn’t get so packed you can’t move. Definitely a great place to pop in for a few drinks, a snack and a good time.

Decent place to sit and watch a game or grab a drink real quick. I haven’t gotten to experience the rooftop, but I would come back for that.

Sometimes it’s difficult to separate an experience from the concrete domains of dining: food, ambience, service, etc. Overall, I had a great time here, but it’s a Boston bar in the middle of Denver and I was watching a Red Sox playoff game. Sooooo… is it fair to say that The Pour House is awesome even though food was stuff I used to make in my dorm room in college? I suppose reviewing an establishment has to mean being critical on a spectrum. Can I compare The Pour House to an upscale gastropub? No. So I won’t. For what it is, The Pour House is great. A divey, Boston sports bar. I couldn’t tell you what I was drinking that night,(maybe Smithwick’s?) but I remember the grilled cheese being delicious and I remember the Red Sox winning and one of our servers being very nice and accommodating. I also remember one of the bartenders being absolutely indifferent about me ordering a round of beers, which is weird because don’t Denver bartenders work for tips like everywhere else? I think her colleague(our server) ended up benefitting from her rudeness because we were so relieved when she was nice to us that we gave her better tips in the end. Maybe they split them and that was the plan all along. Touché, Pour House. Touché.

TERRIBLE. Hire a new bartender that actually works … The place was empty and she was chatting away at the end of the bar… TEN minutes to be greeted. Loved watching her smoke outside while we waited. Oh and on a gorgeous sunny day the rooftop was closed… that makes sense! No wonder this place has a groupon… they suck and it’s not even worth the $ 18 you would have to pay.

If I’m downtown on a weekend(which is frankly not that often anymore) I will more often than not stop by Pour House. What I like about it is that it doesn’t feel like what I think of as being like most of bars in that area. Its casual pub rather than attracting the underdressed-fake-id-carrying-club-crowd(they go across the street). Yeah, I know I sound like I’m getting old. The roof deck tends to be crowded even in winter and a little more of a «party» than the casual downstairs. The staff has always been laid back while managing to be attentive.

So far I’ve only had a few drinks there, but the entire experience was awesome. That goes a long way to making me want to go back! I hear there’s a pretty awesome deck, can’t wait to see that. Overall the place is very cool. Friendly staff, good choice of beers.
