I saw Ross etherton and the chariots of Judah here. This place feels like it hasn’t changed since it opened which is a good thing. I’ll go here now and it would continue to grow with me as I get older. Some great shows here but not sure where to find out about them.

Heard really good things about Globe Hall and love that there’s a place where you can get BBQ and hear live music. So we gave it a shot one Saturday afternoon just for the BBQ. Was surprised when we ordered the brisket that it only came chopped. That’s not Central Texas Style. We asked for sliced but said the brisket was already all chopped up. I imagine before it got chopped it would have been fairly good brisket. You could see a nice smoke ring. But the small pile we were served was dry and tough. The pulled pork as stated in other reviews needed more flavor. The sausage was the best part. Will definitely be back for ribs(sold out that day) and to try and convince them to serve up some sliced brisket like they do in Central Texas.

Ribs fell off the bone, brisket had great bark and was super tender. Go see the smoker out back. It is HUGE! I will 100% come back. Can wait to see a show here.

Worst BBQ in town! Super dry! They have no idea about real BBQ. The staff is friendly and that’s their only plus. No bourbon? Seriously? Oh sorry, they have ONE choice but the website talks about having a selection. These guys have no clue about globeville and its roots. They act like they do by a Wikipedia page but that’s about it. Terrible selection of draft beer and I feel like the building is going to collapse. If you want real BBQ I suggest kitchen table café or yazoo BBQ. Don’t waste your money.

Where to start? Globe Hall serves so many needs… amazing BBQ, great drinks, cool bar, and amazing sounds! These coupled with the extremely friendly staff and service makes this a must for all!

Really enjoyed our experience here tonight. First bbq place ive been to in denver that has the texas bbq feel. Long tables, squeeze bottles of homemade sauce, rolls of paper towels, and slices of white bread to go with the fine smoked meat. Great food, very reasonably priced, cold beer, and a nice crowd. Owner was great and kept checking on us throughout the night, and showed us his very impressive smoker out back. Very accommofsting to us and our 1 year old daughter for an early dinner. Cant wait to come back sans baby for some live music. Great addition to the neighborhood, and Denver in general. Thanks Jeff!

Excellent barbecue! I am a professional BBQ judge and this is some of the best restaurant BBQ I’ve had. Try the brisket and ribs. Owner is friendly and aims to please.

I think this sums it up best: «National press is infatuated with white, male hipster BBQ,» writes Robb Walsh on the blog First We Feast. «Believe it or not, blacks, Latinos, and women are involved in the barbecue biz too.» The trend continues when it comes to new restaurants opening around the country. «New barbecue joints generally are run by white men. That just seems to be the trend,» says Daniel Vaughn, barbecue editor for Texas Monthly. «The movement that gets troubling is the, ‘I’m a chef, I’m bored, I want to find my soul, so I’m going to go into barbecue now. That’s going to be my culinary fling.’» Texas BBQ it is not. SOUL it is lacking…

Play music here. It’s a mighty fine venue that I think will only get better with time. Great sounding room, and an awesome staff. Eat food here. It’s damn good barbecue.

Great new BBQ joint in Denver, just opened this month! I’m usually a person that can’t stand BBQ or even steak for that matter, I got invited to the opening by a friend and decided to give it a try. WOW! Best BBQ I’ve had anywhere hands down. I may not like steak or BBQ but this place is better than any steak house or BBQ joint I’ve tried in or out of town. The meat is always fresh and prepared on a daily basis. Staff is friendly and helpful, we ended up staying until close and got a few boxes worth of food since they don’t serve or save leftovers. Any choice you get of meat will be tender and impossible to put down. The BBQ sauce is a bit sweet but add some hot sauce to the mix and it’s great. They also have live music on the weekends that spans Jazz to Bluegrass. Great environment to get food or drinks. The hours are a bit odd but it’s because they really do care about the quality of the food they’re serving. All the sides are also great. I would highly recommend you try this place even if you’re not a BBQ fan, they may just make you a believer. I’ve had the entire menu and nothing has disappointed.

I have eaten bbq in K.C., Memphis, Texas, St. Louis and the Carolinas. This place ranks right up there with the great bbq restaurants I’ve been to. All of the meats, I learned, are from Colorado ranches and are hormone free. The ribs are large, meaty St. Louis style. They, like the rest of the meats are tender, but not mushy or fall off he bone(overcooked) and a nice smoky flavor, but not overly smoky. The pulled pork was excellent; they pull to order, which keeps it moist and fresh. The brisket was very flavorful, although I prefer it trimmed a bit more. I also enjoyed the sausage links, especially the spicy one. The sides were all good, clearly made from scratch, and the menofee pie was something I’d never had before and was delicious. The service was great. For those looking for an authentic roadhouse experience, complete with food served on paper, paper towels instead of napkins and only one sauce, you’ll enjoy this place.

In my opinion, this place does not live up to the hype. It’s basically a loud, yet comfortable bar with a few tables on one side and a big open space with long banquet tables for families on the other side. You order and pay for your food separately and you food is served on a giant tray with butcher paper, plastic flatware and paper napkins. So you kind of eat picnic style. I don’t have a problem with the paper, flatware etc., my problem was with the food. Our pulled pork was just okay, under seasoned and blah. They don’t give you any sauces because they use a dry rub to season the meat — but I didn’t taste any of the rub. Also, there was quite a lot of fat that had not be rendered. It wasn’t «bad» it just wasn’t «five star» great. I’ve had much better pig elsewhere. The sides are nothing special. Three bucks for a small side of potato salad that tasted like it came from the grocery store and an additional three bucks for a side(about a half cup) of overly sweet, watery cole slaw. They leave sliced white bread out but it tasted a bit like regular sandwich bread — nothing special. No salt or pepper shakers. Service is very friendly. I wouldn’t think of calling out the other reviewers who think this place is the best thing since BBQ was invented. Perhaps I should have tried the brisket, which others are raving about, but I think that the pork should be just as good. Everyone has their own opinion. It’s great that they had such and good experience and loved the food. But, based on my experience however I can’t honestly recommend Globe Hall.

I’m a bbq fan, not a Texas bbq fan, not a Bama bbq fan, not a KC bbq fan, but a bbq fan. That said I do have preferences for certain ‘kinds’ of bbq. Having only been to TX a couple times I’ve always thought that TX bbq was more like Dickies or Bennetts here in Denver. Globe Hall has changed my view on that. There meat is moist and attention is paid to the nuances in flavor and texture that make up the difference between good bbq and great bbq. Bark, smoke, spice, sauce, it’s all good. One thing that really stood out for me was the brisket. As an amateur bbq-er I know how hard it is to get a fork tender brisket and the pit master at Globe Hall has nailed it. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot. Oh did I forget to mention affordable drinks, live music and community tables?

Very disappointed. Articles in Eater Denver had me pumped up. Not recommended, at least for food AND drink. Might be good for music AND drinks, but that is past my bedtime. It’s all about the plaid, beards(on males) and tattoos. Hipsters are everywhere, even in Globeville. + Good for kids. In the back room, not in the bar area. + Good price on PBR draft. + Warm temperature on a cold evening. + Friendly and efficient bartendress. 0 Side of potato salad was OK. — Bland pulled pork with too much fat left in it. No flavor. No sauces available. I had to go the kitchen and ask for salt & pepper. They have one large box of each. — Crappy plastic flatware. This ain’t Taco Bell, people. — Paper towels for napkins. — No Wi-Fi. — Side of cole slaw tasted like store-bought nothingness and was over priced at $ 3. — You order and pay for food and drinks separately. Annoying. — Only 1 wine. A low end red. A skimpy pour for $ 5.
