My husband and I just moved here from Chicago and surprisingly had some bomb sushi spots that we were so sad to leave. Since then we’ve been scouring Denver for the past month and a half for a spot that we love. Well let me tell you, we finally found it! Hasu is amazing! Not only was the service amazing but the sushi was insanely good. I am very picky about my fish to rice ratio and Hasu did not disappoint. The thing that should stand out in sushi is the fish and that’s what they have created here. There was so much more fish than rice and I couldn’t have been happier. Also, their house sake was really good too! We also had some sashimi and the salmon tartar and both were fresh and on point. We absolutely love this place and drive all the way from Lohi and will likely do it weekly. Do not miss out on this spot!

Sat at the sushi bar on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Hostess greeted me and was friendly. Huge TV by the sushi bar, cool. Had some sushi and a couple rolls. Sushi — average/good Prices — average Service — friendly, attentive, fast Pros: Decent sushi at a decent price. 3 stars for the food side but the service gets it 4 total. Parking in back for free Nice décor Cons: Parking can be a pain

The live scallop was probably one of the freshest, most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. They only have them on Fridays and Saturdays, so be sure to plan accordingly. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri were some of the best I’ve had. The sake martini was a delightful companion to the meal. The cherry on top of this experience by far and away was the service — it was beyond compare! To say that they were attentive, friendly, helpful, and all around wonderful is an understatement. Bottom line: go here.

Food was delicious, service was a bit confusing we had 3 or 4 people waiting on us and never knew who or what was ordered. Sushi was great. Location was good, they have FREE parking in the back. One of our guys got his food way after the rest of us, I think they forgot about his food.

Hasu is the best sushi I have had since moving to Denver. The manager and staff are awesome and always taking care of us. I came from CA and like good sushi. Sushi Den and places like that are good, but not what I look for when I just want sushi. Hash has great rolls and sashimi.

This restaurant is one of the best kept secrets of Denver, since the location is below street level. Since I formerly lived in Los Angeles for 6 years I’m a sushi snob. I was pleasantly surprised to find Hasu Sushi not only met my high standards, but exceeded them. I’ve celebrated every birthday, anniversary, and holiday here since I moved to Denver. The fish is amazing fresh, they have toro(sorta hard to find in Denver), the specialty rolls are out of this world, and the service is so friendly. They almost always give you something on the house as well, whether it’s a free seaweed salad or a lychee sunday. Make all your friends jealous with pics of the beautiful rolls. Bring your coworkers here for lunch, it’s super cheap!!!

Absolutely delicious. Solid happy hour menu that goes from 2:30 to 6, clean environment, and very friendly staff. I don’t go to this area of town often, but whenever I’m back in the area next I will definitely be back. Highly recommend checking this place out!

In general it’s a good Chinese&Sushi place to dine in! However, fairly speaking it’s a little bit pricy. I just figured out they removed the fish ball from my Rice Noodle Soup which is $ 11.95 :(haha

Someone I work with has been raving about Hasu for months and telling me I needed to go. After she openly told me she was withholding all restaurant recommendations until I went, I finally put it on my weekday lunch plans. I dined alone but had a really nice waiter who chatted with me while I waited for my sushi. I went with a three roll lunch special that included salad and the spicy girl roll. The salad was good but just iceberg lettuce which could have been zazzed up with better lettuce. The dressing was awesome. The sushi came out and was beautifully presented. The yellowtail/green onion roll, spicy girl, shrimp tempura and salmon nigeri sushi were very well made and the fish was very fresh. I can see why I should have come earlier and will bring the hubs back next time.

Had lunch with my friend for the first time, amazing! Every thing was delish! The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer was light and just a little spicy, perfect ’ we had the mummy roll and Paradise roll, beautifully presented as well as yummy! AND they have parking in the back, that’s worth its weight in gold in cherry creek!

Went to Hasu for the first time last night because my boyfriend and I wanted to try a new sushi spot. When we arrived, it was relatively empty. We were seated at a booth and quickly served waters. I thought the coupon for a free sake could be used, but I didn’t realize it said Valentine’s Day weekend. Our server spoke to the manager, who gave us a free sake anyways. Very hospitable people at Hasu! We started with miso soups and the broth was really, really delicious. My boyfriend said it’s some of the best miso he has had in awhile(and I agree)! We ordered 2 basic sushi rolls(unagi/avocado and the Philly roll) along with a spider roll and the Phoenix roll. I really loved every roll except for the Philly roll. There was just a bit too much cream cheese. The Phoenix roll was phenomenal and I loved the combo of mango with spicy tuna(I’m a big fan of sweet + spicy). The wonderful service and accommodating staff made up for the cheesy Philly roll; 5 stars is well-deserved. Only thing I would improve on would be the music choice and the rotating logo projection that was giving my boyfriend a headache ;)

Great sushi. Always fresh and inventive rolls. Excellent service. Great presentation. Love the merge of cultures with the secret Chinese menu. This is my go to sushi place for everyday sushi bc it’s great and it’s not stressful or difficult to order and the food comes out fast. I literally go here like once a week at least. The rolls are amazing and the fish is always super fresh. They have specials like Japanese snapper and toro. The wait staff always tell me what the best things are to get here so I love their helpfulness! The atmosphere is clean and warm and inviting. I’ve come here for so many occasions including a business meeting and a celebration w friends from out of town. The sushi presentation is beautiful and creative. Get the TNT roll! I get two every time haha. You won’t be disappointed.

CHINESE, JAPANESE, THAI– HASUHASITALL we’ve dined here a few times now and have had enjoyable experiences with good food. The fish is fresh and the cooked Chinese and Thai dishes are good as well. I’m not sure what this Asian fusion concept is but it helps the indecisive have their cake and eat it too.

If all the dishes were of the quality of the Cross Bridge rice noodle soups, this place would have a 4. That said, they are not. Many of the stock Chinese menu items are from the frozen food aisle, namely the shumai, which are not really shumai. The rice noodle soup tasted good, but the quality of beef was rather low, and so was the seafood my friend had. So, this place has some highlights, but needs to generally improve.

Joined a few friends here for dinner and have nothing but GREAT things to say! The service was excellent, the restaurant was lovely, and the food was SOSO good! I rarely dine in when it comes to Chinese food and this was just such a great experience. We had several items between the three of us, to include two of the pots, a few sushi items, and the Mongolian Beef. Everything was delicious! If you are just looking for a nice dinner, nice atmosphere and great service I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I’m starting to think they only serve sushi here because they are trying to a) hide the fact that they make really awesome authentic food or b) lure in people who they believe wouldn’t otherwise try their restaurant. I was kind of the mood for sushi, so we decided to dine here because of its close proximity to home. They give you the menu with sushi items and all, including the regular Americanized Chinese food some less-than-cultured people might be looking for when they stop into a place like this. I will not go into great detail about my peeve with this, but I’ll just say this: every Asian restaurant needs to stop serving this crap. This is exactly what the food of my people is NOT. And then suddenly, we were offered«the authentic menu.» Not sure if I’ve been missing something or if this is something typical that happens at other restaurants, but I’m sure happy we did not go with the sushi menu last night(for once). We ordered the spicy eggplant in the claypot and then pepper beef and boy, it was tasty. Descriptive words I would not use to describe these dishes: greasy, carb heavy, heavy, sweet & sour. These dishes were spicy, incredibly flavorful and not greasy one bit. I am more than happy to be dining on leftovers for lunch today too. Only thing that was weird is that the place doesn’t get too busy so you might feel that the wait staff are watching you eat. Also, one of the waitresses came over just to ask me if I was Chinese, and then asked if I was born here. When I said yes, she walked away and that was all. Yes, lady I’m one of THOSE.

The white tuna nigiri is so light, fresh, and delicious here. Highlight of the meal. Happy hour all day on Sundays; ordered one pint of Sapporo, got one pint FREE. The staff is attentive, helpful, and very courteous. Thoroughly enjoyed eating at Hasu!

Ooohhh Hasu Asian Bistro, THANKGOD you are open on a SATURDAY! Well actually I wanted to bring my friend to another Sushi establishment in town which is around this neighborhood but they are NOT opened on Saturdays. Its their LOST and Hasu Asian Bistro’s Gain… Anyways, I guess OLD Habits Died Hard, I tend to order the same things or similar things from the Menu, from my previous visits back in 2014. This recent visit was on SATURDAY March 14th2015. Time was about 11:35hrs ish. Thankfully we are among the few that arrived early, though I cannot deny for a SATURDAYLUNCH, Hasu Asian Bistro tends to be so quiet. It maybe good for some. I have no qualms on those, since I like to dine in, with some«peace» in mind. Anyways, from what I could recall I ordered the following items : * Sea Urchin($ 9.00) * King Crab($ 9.00) * Unagi($ 5.50) * WASABI Flying Fish Roe($ 5.00) * Amaebi aka Sweet Raw Shrimp($ 7.95) * Spicy Scallop($ 5.00) * Spicy Lobster($ 5.00) * Tamago Nigiri($ 4.00) My friend, ordered the following items : * Sea Urchin($ 9.00) * Spicy Tuna Naruto($ 11.50) * Unagi($ 5.50) * Gyoza($ 5.95) My friend like what she orders, but she did not fancy the Sea Urchin aka UNI at all. It was her first time trying though. At least she tried. For my order of KINGCRAB, they put it on a BOATSHAPE that is crafted from SOLIDICE. Hmm, its good in terms of presentation, but I SOWISH, Hasu Asian Bistro will maintain in terms of the QUALITY of SEAFOOD or The Sushi/Nigiri that they offer instead of «Presentation» wise. Hence Hasu Asian Bistro have room of improvement in my books. Then with some of the presentation, they tend to slice out limes that is somewhat«rotten». It so visible from the skin of those limes. I know we don’t consume the Lime itself, but it can cause food contamination for some. That morning/afternoon, the service was just OKAY, though a little too slow to our«comfort». Our Main server answered all our questions we had. Some items in their Menu were unavailable, but after he gets back to our table, he said, its available. Hmmm… It seems like there are 2 different servers handling our food order that LUNCH Saturday Weekend. From the receipt printed, if I am NOT mistaken our Server his name is KAI. If I could also recall properly, since there is a «WAIT» for our Orders to be ready with somewhat an empty dining room at that hour, the Kitchen Staffs offer each of us, a bowl of Miso soup and some kind of Nigiri, in which I forget the name of it. My Bad. All in all, I don’t mind returning. Maybe that next visit, I shall convince my Chinese friends to come along so I can«explore» those Chinese Menu items which have been«calling my name»… Ooohh and not forgetting, while I was about to leave Hasu, one of my Meetup Members said Hello and it seems that Hasu is one of her favorites too. Anyways KUDOS to Hasu Asian Bistro. Its 3.5 stars in my books. Hope they will prosper many more years to come in this neighborhood. Came here on Friday night and found parking and seating for four immediately. I decided to take my mom here due to hasu being on a list of best Asian places in Denver. Alas, hasu is more sushi with Americanized Chinese dishes than their website led me to believe. Their Mongolian beef was tender with just enough spice and their Shanghai noodles with shrimp and beef was cooked pretty well also. We also had their oysters which were fresh and had this spicy Asian sauce that was really delicious. Although the presentation of their sushi was amazing, it didn’t taste any different or better than other sushi restaurants we frequent. For the sushi we give hasu a 3 and for their Chinese food I would give it a 4.
