Jim and Michael at Honda Automotive were nothing but professional, kind, and honest. My 1996 V6 Honda Accord is pushing 200,000 and I wanted to replace the timing belt (for the second time). I drove by Jim’s shop a few times since I work in the area, and I decided to get a quote. Jim may not be overly enthusiastic and bubbly when you first talk to him, but give him a minute or two on the phone — he’s a super nice guy. I did NOT have an experience as Buck N. from Fairfield, California described. Not even close!
Jim took in my vehicle right away. Michael, the head mechanic, was very nice and assured me that they’d have it ready by the next day. When speaking to Jim on the phone, he quoted me a very fair price. When I got a call back after the work was done, Jim didn’t push any superfluous services. When I arrived at the shop to pick up my car, he showed me the damaged parts and talked to me about the work performed. The final total for the work done was the exact same as the quote (which is great because I’ve been burned in the past). Jim seems genuinely honest and fastidious. He assured me that if anything went wrong they’d take care of it immediately. After a few days, the car still runs great. I will definitely be back.

Jim’s shop has been around for a while, which means he’s built good relationships with parts dealers.
No frills shop — just good and honest work.

WE have an «86 Prelude that is a «workhorse» with over 200,000 miles on it. She’s not the looker she was 20 years ago, but who is? Jim loves working on Hondas and has a great stock of parts that you might not be able to find elsewhere or that most places would charge triple for. I know he backs his gauraurtee as we recently had a repair done that most mechanics would not even have been able to diagnose and a few weeks later we had the same problem. Took it back and he fixed it (a wire or something had come loose) Can’t say enough great things about Jim and his shop. Granted, the waiting area isn’t all shiney with free bottled water and crap, but who needs all that when you’re just looking for an honest, resonabley priced, reliable mechanic!
